Yae

The Folklorist's wife. The camera's power drove her to suicide. She wants to tell people about her pain.





Yae moved to Himuro Mansion with her husband, the Folkorist Ryozo Munakata, who wished to study the Himuro Family's secret rituals. They had with them the same camera that Mafuyu and Miku possess now.





Their daughter Mikoto disappeared one day while playing Demon Tag with her friends. Notice what appears to be the Blind Demon in the background of this picture that Yae took with the special camera.





This picture was taken by Yae with the special camera. The image of the young Kirie appeared when she looked at the developed photo. This suggests that Kirie had a friendly interest in Mikoto and perhaps helped her to escape from the mansion, as we later learn that Mikoto may in fact be the grandmother of Mafuyu and Miku.





Yae slowly went insane while trying to find Mikoto and the other children. Her insanity lead her to suicide as the ghosts tormented her without mercy.
