Band Quotes:

Fan Theories:
Bernard was apparently talking
about Charles Manson and his followers in this song.
It makes sense as Manson
believed he was an incarnation of Christ, and lead his
followers to believe the same. In short he made his cult
believe that the world was going to turn into chaos as the
blacks were going to try and overtake the whites and a huge
war was going to break out destroying life as we know it, yet
his 'family' would hide out somewhere were no one would ever
find them, and return to the world many many years later. The
Beatles album 'white' apparently had a lot to do with his
theory. So he spoke words of 'love' to his followers, that he
was there to save the human race, etc etc, however he planned
and demanded horrible bloody murders, including that of
actress Sharon Tate. Though he did not actually commit the
murders, he was behind them all, hence the 'blood on (his)
hands'. Also, while on trial Manson's followers carved crosses
into their heads.

Lyrics:
And you'll
be there to break my fall
To reassure my doubts and faults
And all your fables will ring true
They are the lies you lean on too
There's love on your breath
I'd better not say
About the blood on your hands
You hold the future in your hands
And sullen eyes soothe and command
A graceful mouth your deadly tool
Too bad the truth has fallen through
There's love on your breath
I'd better not say
About the blood on your hands
The incarnation of a Christ
Manipulation
There's love on your breath
I'd better not say
About the blood on your hands
The cross on your head
What does that say
About the blood on your hands |
