What' new in Japan

  Cherry Blossoms in Tokyo

You might think that Tokyo is a big city and there are few trees and flowers.
But we have many scenic points for enjoying cherry blossoms in Tokyo.

These pictures are taken last year.
Usually a cherry tree start to bloom at the end of March in Tokyo, but this year it has already bloomed.
We have very early spring this year. (this is a kind of unusual...)

I always feel happy that I was born in Japan whenever I see cherry blossoms.

Please enjoy these beautiful scenes and I hope you like it!

Cherry Blossoms near the Imperial Palace.

The Imperial Palace is located in the Middle of Tokyo.
You can see many office buildings in the background.
There is a moat around the Palace.
You can enjoy boat riding here.

Can you see the castle in the background?
It is very Japanese, isn't it?
There is a promenade along with the moats and
you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing.
There is also a little park and you can find many
office workers are enjyoing their lunch time here.

The next scenes are...

Cherry Blossoms near Yotsuya
(There is Hotel New Otani and Sophia University in the neighborhood.)

This picture was taken from the promenade of
the bank and this place is forbidden to enter.
That's why there is no people here.
The cherry trees are planted on the slope and
it is located near railways, so people can
enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms from a train.

This is the promenade on the bank.
You can see some people are enjoying
"Ohanami" (flower viewing) party under the trees.

… Finally, let me introduce my neighborhood.
