As we climbed this peak the clouds just blasted by. The snow made the climb considerably more difficult. |  |
 | I wasn't feeling all that great during most of the trek, I think it was all just a part of having been violently ill during the week before. Linda and Jens stayed in the back of the pack with me - and thus got this bodacious (Californian for "really great") picture taken. |
Our fearless leader Pete graced those of us who were dragging in the back (yours truly) with his awesome presence for a short while. Note the shorts, this stands as solid evidence that our leader is not entirely stable. |  |

Once at the top we decided to just sort of hang out at the cliff where all the snow had melted off. The valleys where we were looked like the ones that Wesley and Buttercup fell down just before the fireswamp in the "Princes Bride". |  |

This was taken after treking through the snow for a few hours. It was cold, tiring, but very peaceful. Allow me to introduce the cast of characters.... Far left with minimal hair is Simon, next is our hero Matt, than Rich - a cool welsh guy nicknamed "Taffy" for cultural reasons I have yet to understand (don't make sheep jokes around him!). In the middle with the light blue hat is Sally, who has spent long periods of time explaining to me the culture of France and why it is important to spend four hours eating dinner (I suppose my American blood makes understanding this rather tough). Behind her is Jans, he's swiss and does lots of mountaineering. In front of Jans, with the map strapped on is Tim - more commonly known as Tim Fast but Slim or Speedy Gonzalez (needless to say he walks very quickly). On the far right is Sean, club VP (I think). |  |
