My Review:
One of the saddest story ever made on film, I am proud to say I cried the first time I saw this film, but that was when I was 8 years old. This film is very beautiful, there are so many innocences in the characters. The story is about a boy Ming from a family that is poor and his mother died when he was young and his father works at tea field. His art class teacher, Kuo finds Ming very talented at his paintings, because his arts are colorful and true at heart. There is a competition in school, but Kuo was not able to give Ming the prize, because the mayor's son was what most other teachers thought to be the best for the prize. Ming soon discovers he got a liver disease and died because his family is poor and medical help is limited. Kuo left the school and took Ming's painting with him. Ming's painting later won the International Children Painting Competition, but Ming would never be able to know that his talent was discovered. This film is a heart-breaker, another must see.
