Sakura Wing: Endless Waltz
"I declare a war against the Global Alliance," A boy's voice rang in a cold Christmas night.  "I, Eriol Hiiragizawa, will utterly destroy anyone who stands in my way to becoming the leader of the world."  "What?!" Tomoyo sharply asked, looking up.  Sakura quietly looked away.  Outside, snow was starting to fall.
"Shooot!" Shaoran cried, smacking the table.  As it snapped in half, Meiling and Yukito scurried forward to catch the falling snacks.  "It's no time to break table, Shaorang," Meiling scolded, sipping her hot chocolate.  "But just when we sent all of our gundam to be burnt! They must be sizzling somewhere near Sun's orbit..." "Sakura-chan will surely reach the pod before it gets to the Sun," Yukito said, swallowing a mouthful of plum pudding.  "It's amazing how relaxed all of you are!" Shaoran cried, frustrated.  "Will you shut up already, brat, 'cause I"m tryin' to think here?" Touya asked from corner of the spaceship.  "Who's escorting Miss Tomoyo?" Meiling asked, trying to avoid a war.  Touya and Shaoran continued to exchange murderous glares while Yukito answered, "Lieutenant Mizuki."
"Hoeeee! It's so hot here!" Sakura complained, taking her jacket off.  She typed in the data of the location of the pod. targeting its weak spot.  "Another hour left before the collision... this shutter will malfuntion if I use Water Card, though! Besides, I can't use Clow Cards in this fan fic." She sighed, then looked across the cast space.  "Wait for me, Wing." The shuttle passed Venus, glowing red with heat.
"I'll try to talk to him," Tomoyo said, trying to connect to the colony X18999.  "It wouldn't be of any use," Mizuki said, sighing.  "I request a conversation with the leader of colony X18999!" Tomoyo said, turning on a switch. The screen flickered, then lit up.  "Good evening, Miss Tomoyo." A young boy said.  He looked very kind-- he had short black hair and eyes.  He had huge glasses and blue cloak with Sun and Moon pattern on it.  "What are you trying to accomplish with all this commotion?" Tomoyo sharply asked him.  "This world's leadership," The boy simply answered.  "What makes you think you can rule over everyone else?" Tomoyo asked.  Disgust made her normally sweet and gentle voice harsh.  "Because it was destined at my brith.  I am the young clone of Clow Reed." "What?!" Mizuki asked, shocked.  Tomoyo quietly turned away from the screen and looked outside.  They were surrounded by enemy's Space Leos.
Shaoran looked up from his transmitter.  "Ohhh, shit. This is bad." "Clone of Clow?" Meiling repeated in dismay.  "What the hell did he made that for, the stupid bastard," Touya cursed, turning away.  "If none of you guys are gonna eat these ice cream, I"m gonna eat them all," Yukito declared.  "I think it's about time we attend the party," Meiling cut in before Shaoran and Touya got enough time to kill Yukito.  "Roger that mission!" They said, boarding Space Ares.  "But we didn't finish out food," Yukito said, giving the food a rueful look.  "Shut-the-hell-up!!" Touya and Shaoran shouted in unison.  "You guys are mean.  We shouldn't fight each other," Yukito complained before following Meiling out to the space.  They headed for colony X18999.
"I can hardly breath..." Sakura said, gasping.  "Five more seconds.... four...three... two...one.." She pushed a button, then jumped out of the shuttle.  She clung on to the pod containing five previous Gundams.  The shuttle hit the pod and exploded.  The explosion collided with the outer most atmosphere of the Sun, sending the pod flying in the other direction.  Sakura opened the pod's hatch and climbed inside.  Fice Gundams were lying in glass cases resembling a coffin.  She operated the pod's computer system to make sure everything's okay, then set the destination for colony X18999.  She took off her oxigen mask.  "Whew, a lot better in here.  Hi, guy," She said, turning her glance towards the Gundams.  Wing Zero glowed brightly, catching Sun's light.  "What do you think about this? We've been invited to an X-mas eve's party."
"Here, hold this," Shaoran said, handing a paper clip to Touya.  "Paper Clip?" Touya asked.  He gave Shaoran a strange look.  "Just hold on to it!" Shaoran said through clenched teeth.  "Crazy bastard," Touya unnessarily commented.  "WHAT?!!!" "The central data room should be this way," Meiling cut in.  "Perhaps we can make all of enemy mobile suits self-destruct."  She blasted away the entrance separating mobilesuit storage area and the central area.  "All right, the party starts off with a dance," Shaoran said, jumping off his mobile suit.  "Too bad I'll have to knock all of my partners out." With confused shouts, the guards stormed in, shooting machine guns.  "They should use me as a guard~ These people are so pathetic," Yukito said, doing a magnificent spin in the mid air to dodge the bullets.  "We should leave some for Sakura-chan, though.  After all, we shouldn't hog the treats."
"Why would you want me as a hostage?"    Tomoyo calmly asked.  "You don't know how much influence you have as the leader of the Global Alliance.  Your role as the pacifist ruler will give me a good impression, wouldn't it?" "Why you...." Tomoyo said, clenching her fist.  "Better not do anything unnecessary," Eriol mockingly said.  He snapped his fingers.  The door of the conference room immediately opened, followed by about 20 men in blue uniform(I never liked the red ones...).  "What is it, your highness?" One of them asked.  'Nothing.  You may leave." They saluted and left.  "Forced leadership will not prosher," Tomoyo said.  "My reign will be that of peace and organization," Eriol said.  "My reign will be that of peace and organization," Eriol replied.  "Damocracy never gets anything done.  This world, shattered, by wars, should be ruled with a dictator who can be trusted.  I will take on that role."
"What's that for?" Meiling asked as Shaoran inserted a blue contex lens in his eyes.  "So they wouldn't recognize me," Shaoran said, putting hair-spray on his hair.  "You guys wait here, will ya?" Shaoran quietly snuck up to a guard and knocked him out cold by a well-targeted blow on his neck.  He put on the soldier's uniform.  Shaoran returned to where other three were waiting.  "Okay, we can go now." "It's amazing you actually carry contex lens and hair spray around, brat," Touya commented, kicking the data room's door open.  They were greeted by soldiers monitoring the space ship, all holding machine guns.  "It's a fan fic, anything's possible," Shaoran gleefully said, knocking the machine gun out of one of the soldiers' hands.  "Just how many body guards does the dude have? I'm starting to get tired of kicking asses," Meiling complained.  "Where's Kinomoto?"
Sakura softly landed on the mobile suit storage area.  From a big hole in the back, she concluded that the others had gone in.  "Geez, how am I supposed to find them?" Sakura groaned.
"How do you plan to take control of this world? Through a war?" Tomoyo asked.  "By creating chaos.  I will take control while everything is in a state of confusion." "And that will be achieved by..?" "I will destroy the Earth."   "What?!" Tomoyo leaped up from her seat.  "What did you just say?!" "People living on Earth are all bunch of crooked politicians.  Besides, some sacrifice is always necessary." "You are crazy," Tomoyo said, weakly falling back down into her chair.  "Perhaps.  After all, this world is too harsh to live with a normal state of mind." The door suddenly bursted open.  "Hands up!" Sakura said, pointing her gun at Eriol.  "Sakura-chan!" Tomoyo said, standing up.  "Sakura. Pilot of Gundam 01, Wing Zero," Eriol said, smiling sweetly.  "I've been expecting you Gundam pilots.  Nice to meet you."  "Cut out the crap!" Sakura snapped.  "As you wish." He took out a key and released it into a big staff.  "Freeze." He said, pointing his staff at Sakura.  "What?! You're not supposed to use magic in this fan fic!" "Whatever," Eriol replied, laughing evilly.
"A beam cannon is scheduled to blast the Earth away," Yukito commented.  "Oh, joy, Operation Meteor," Meiling said, rolling her eyes.  "Our Christmas present. How nice." "Operation Meteor is when you crash something onto Earth. This is even worse." Touya said, shaking his head.  "Damn it, this code is freakin' complicated," Shaoran said, trying to break the lock on the program.  "The ship is becoming unstable.  Will you take care of the balance of the stability?" He turned to Meiling.  "Why not." Meiling started to type in the main computer.  "Hurry up.  Guards will be here any second.  We'd better hurry and get out of here before they arrive.  Unlike computer nerds in here, they'll be pretty good at fighting.  It'll be too much for us to handle." Touya said, watching the doorway.  "God it," Shaoran answered. "Lock broken," Yukito said, looking up.  "The program is annihilated! Beam blaster shoot down is canceled," Shaoran said five minutes later, wearing a triumph grin on his face.  "This ship is also stablized." Meiling said.  Suddenly there was pounding at the door.  "Open up! Or we'll blow this whole sector away!" A gruff voice yelled from behind the door.  "Blast it," Touya quietly said.  "Touya, no personnal grudge.  You can retaliate later," Shaoran said, going up to Touya.  "What?" Touya punched Touya's stomach.  "Why, you lousy.." Touya fainted out.  "Meiling and Yukito, get down." The two obediently got down.  The door bursted open.  "Hands up!" "I got them," Shaoran quietly said, putting his hands up in the air.  He stepped on the carbon dioxide release switch.  Dry ice, kept under the floor in case of fire, released a thick, white cloud of carbon dioxide.  Meiling and Yukito ran off.  "Make sure this one doesn't get away," Shaoran said, handing Touya to one of the guards.  "I'll go after them."
"Are you all right, Sakura-chan?" Tomoyo asked, worried.  "Where are we....?" "Hiiragizawa-san said the program to destroy the Earth had been interfered with, so we're temporarily staying at his refugee in colony X18999. " "Damn him," Sakura said, reaching in her pocket to take out her key, just to find that it's gone.  "What did I expect anyway," Sakura said, sighing.  She felt Tomoyo's glance-- "What's up, Tomoyo-chan?" "It's a shame that I don't have a video camera with me," Tomoyo said, looking tragical. "Hoee?!"  "You're super kawaii even when you're depressed!  Today's episode, Sakura-chan's distress! Chistmas special Part 1! It would have been splendid~" Sakura collapsed.
"Little brat," Touya sighed, opening his handcuffs with the paper clip that Shaoran had given him.  "Just wait until I get my hands on him.  My stomach stil hurts." He threw a small bomb in the cell's door.  With lots of white smoke, the bomb exploded.  Touya kicked the door open and ran off to join the others.
"What took you so long?" Meiling asked, boarding her Gundam.  "Shush," Touya growled.  Meiling was smart enough to shut up when needed to be.  "Shaoran went ahead to colony X18999.  Sakura had been kidnapped." Yukito informed Touya.  "What?! What have that monster gotten herself into this time," Touya said, boarding his Gundam.  "Well, let's go, shall we?" "Roger!"
"Outta my way!" Shaoran yelled, slashing his way through pathes of mobile dolls.  "Stupid modbile dolls... where's Sakura?!" Twenty mobile dolls fired at him at the same time.  He dodged all of them, but one of the dolls succeeded in burning away part of his Deathscythe Hell's wing.  "Shoot.." Shaoran felt his deathscythe leaning on to the other side, off-balanced.  "Sakura...:"
"Shaoran...." Sakura said, watching the snow falling.  "I want to fight besides you.. don't die out there by yourself..." "All citizens of Global Alliance, please listen to me," Sakura turned away to look at Tomoyo, startled.  "You've connected to the broadcasting systems?" Tomoyo quickly nodded, then resumed.  "Don't give into another civil war.  War only bring more pain and death.  Please unite yourselves in an effort to..." "Please don't do anything foolish, Miss Tomoyo.  I do not wish to harm you." Eriol's voice came through the speaker.  "Blast you, die!" Sakura screamed at him.  "I'd love to.  But until my tast to re-establish this world is over, I can't," Eriol said. "Sorry." "You don't see any other reason to live, do you," Sakura gently said, taken back.  "I don't need sympathy." The intercome shut on her.
"We can't hold on much longer," Yukito said, breathing heaviliy.  "Sandrock's bullets are almost all out." "We can't give up until the end, can we," Meiling said, wiping blood away from her eyes.  "If these stupid mobile suit troo were mobile dolls instead of suits being controlled by humans, things would have been so much simpler-- I"d simply self-destruct." Touya took a deep breath.  'Brat-- hang in there.  You can do it.  We'll do our best down here...'
"Damn, I'll die at this rate," Sharoan said, trying to stop his wound from bleeding too much.  "You're already 85% damaged and all out of bullets, buddy," He said, checking Deathscythe Hell's status.  "Forgive me." He pressed the self-destruction button.
<A brief flashback>
"I'm not sure what might hapen while I"m away," Sakura said.  "I may not be able to return in time to fight alongside you.  Shaoran, promise me," Shaoran looked up.  "Stay alive." Shaoran hesitated.  "I'll do my best to stay alive, so you do your best, too." Shaoran silently nodded.  Sakura turned away.  Her voice was shaking.  "I don't want you to die." Sakura ran off to the shuttle departing for Sun.
<End of flashback> Shaoran closed his eyes.  A bright explosion....
"Shaoran!" Sakura looked around the room frantically.  "What's wrong?" Tomoyo asked, alarmed.  "I just got to get out of here!" She started to pound the door like something posessed her.  "Sharoan! Shoran!' She fell to the floor, tears running down her cheeks.  "Please let me go to him.  I don't want him to die all alone..." She looked up to the starry sky. Snow was still falling... "Wing Zero..."
"It feels warm...." Shoran opened his eyes.  Everything was silent and black.  Soft, still darkness seemed to engulf him.  "Death isn't so bad.." He closed his eyes again.  Tears were escaping his eyes.  "I wanted to return to you... Sakura..."
"Well! There goes! Heavy Arms is officially out of bullets," Touya said, tossing his now-uselss mobilsuit's left arm aside.  "Guess it's time for the desserts, then," Meiling said, taking her beam saber out.  It flickered and died. "Never mind," She said, shrugging.  "Thought I had enough energy to go on for two more hours, but-- doesn't matter.  We would've lost anyway." "Three against three hundred was rather rash, wasn't it," Yukito said, dodging the bullets.  One of the bullets hit Sandrock from behind and Yukito heavily landed on his face.  He stood up again, coughing up blood.  Before he had a chance to recover, a lazor beam chopped one of Sandrock's arm away.  "Hang in there," Touya said, holding him up. Sandrock tottered, dangerously out of balance. "Kyaa!" Meiling screamed as another beam neatly chopped of her mobilesuit's head.  "Oh great, now I lost vision," Meiling said, looking around.  Touya bit his lips and turned his gaze to the mobilesuits surrounding them .  They were all out of ammunitions and pilots themselves were pretty seriously injured.  "What a perfect time to self destruct," Touya absent-mindly commented as the enemy mobile suits  raised their guns.
"What's that.." Shaoran drowsily murmured.  An angel..? Across the universe where even all lights of stars have been put out, a single stream of light was shining through, reaching out to him.  "Sakura..." It was her Wing Zero Gundam.  It was quietly flying towards him.  The white light embraced him while the hatch opened automatically.  Shaoran settled himself in the cockpit.  "Shall we go.... back to your mistress?" The machine instantly lit up.  He closed his eyes.  He knew where she was.  Even if she was at the end of the world, it did not really matter.... "Let's go, Wing."
Touya closed his eyes. He wished the death will be quick and painless. He heard Meiling softly saying, "It had been fun, hadn't it..."
Eriol came into the room.  "Let me outta here you bastard!!!" Sakura yelled, trying to punch him.  "Sakura-chan!" Tomoyo cried, holding her back.  "This history," Eriol started, gazing the falling snow.  'Is like an endless waltz. The three steps-- revolution, war, and peace-- will continue on forever.  Is it wrong that I desire to be the most powerful ruler who can end this nonsense?" "In contrary to that, you're starting that cycle again.  You're a demanted child, not a ruler!" Sakura snapped. "I am the clone of the greatest ruler that this history had seen yet, Clow Reed. I will surpress my original in my greatness." Eriol sharply said.  "Clow Reed died all alone, abandoned by everyone," Sakura said.  Eriol slapped her.  "Don't lie to me!!!" He screamed.  Sakura punched him.  He flew across the room and landed on the other side.  "It's time for you to grow up already. You feel pain and fear.  What makes you think others don't?! You're creating a war that brings on  unbearable amounts of pain and fear!"  Eriol looked taken back.  "It's wrong for us to call ourselves "superior" or "victors"... because we are all equal humans." Tomoyo quietly added.  Eriol opened his mouth to speak, but suddenly the alarm system started to shriek horribly.  "What...?"
There was a long silence.  "What..." Touya opened his eyes.  Before his eyes, ther stretched out hundreds-- no, throusand-- of civillians surrounding their gundams, protecting them.  "We don't want war!" They cried in unison.  "Everyone.." Meilng wiped her tears away.  "You understand..." Touya leaned back, relaxing his tense muscles.  A sudden announcement caught their attention: "Eriol Hiiragizawa. Surrender immediately." Everyone looked up.  An angel-like figure brightly contrasting against the dark sky... "Shaoran," Touya whispered. "Thank you..."
Eriol looked up.  "Wing Zero," He said, recognizing the angel wings.  "I repeat.  Eriol Hiiragizawa, surrender immediately.  Failure to do so within three minutes will results in a blast from beam cannon." "Your beam cannon is useless against my guard system! Now, find out just how weak you are!" Eriol retorted, full of contempt.  "Roger," Shaoran shortly replied, aiming his beam cannon.  "What?!" A blast issued.  "Gate number 1~7 severely damaged! Percentage error of targetting, 0.0015%! If he shoots just two mroe times like that, this hide-out will be annihilated!" A guard said, rushing into the room.  "Your highness, it'll be best to move into another place." "It's too late for that!" Eriol screamed.  HIs eyes were wildly out of focus.  "You moron! 30% of lazor got reflected, so your gundam is also heavily damaged! You die with us if you contineu that!" "What would you prefer if you were in my position? Death of about 80 people in that hide-out plus myself, or death of millions of people as a result of a full-scale war?" Shaoran asked.  His voice was strangely serene.  "Sakura Kinomoto and Representative Tomyo Daidouji are also in here!" Shaoran stopped.
"Why are you holding me captive here?" Mizuki asked.  "You'll be in our way.  Stay in here until our operation to take contorl of this world is finished," A girl said, brushing back her silky brown hair.  "You'll then execute me?" Mizuki asked.  A mocking smile spread across the girl's face.  "Perhaps.  Decide for yourself.  Maybe if you plead to Eriol really hard, he'll spare you.  After all, he's a lot kinder than I am." She started to leave the prison.  "I'll se how our other young captives are doing." Suddenly the fortress shook.  "What?!"
Shaoran looked down.  Sakura looked up to him.  Their eyes met.  Tears were filling up both of their eyes.  Sakura smiled, then nodded.  Shaoran released another blinding flash from his beam cannon.  Eriol looked panic-striken.  Tomoyo came up to him and gently embraced him in her arms.  "It'll be all right," She said in her soothing voice.
"Is he trying to commit suicide?" Touya asked, as he watched pieces of burnt metals falling to the ground beneath Wing Zero.  "Let's believe in him," Meiling quietly said.  "We're too far away to stop him, anyway." "This is the only option left for us now, isn't it?" Yukito said.  "Stupid idiot!" Touya screamed in fury.  "Don't go and kill yourself!"
Blood and tears were blurring his vision.  The target wouldn't lock on.  Wing Zero shook in the mid air.  Shaoran wavered, dizzy from the loss of too much blood.  "After this...after this, you don't have to fight anymore.... so be strong one last time for me, Wing Zero..." Blood tickled down his pale face, coloring the control panel red.  His hands were trembling and his head felt strangely light.  Target, lock on.  "Let's all die together!" He hoarsely shoted.  His beam cannon pierced through the fortress.  Huge explosion was followed by Wing Zero's violent landing on the ground.  A great cloud of dust was released for hundres of meters in the surrounding area.  The cockpit's hatch flew open.  Shaoran emerged, couching and breathing heavily.  He tried to stand up, but he collapsed and fell off Wing Zero.  He landed on his left arm.  With a snapping sound, it broke.  "Sakura..." He struggled to get to where she was.  His knees were trembling and lights were dancing in front of his eyes.  His blood felt warm, the night air felt cool, and the snow was falling...falling...
A bright light shone through the pile of destroyed fortress.  Mizuki stood, holding up her moon bell.  Light formed a protective barrier around Sakura, Tomoyo, and Eriol.  "Is everyone all right?" She asked in her serene voice.  Sakura looked up.  "Where is...where is Shaoran?" Mizuki silently shook her head.  "Is..is he.." Before she was able to finish her sentence, a girl also rose from the rubble, glowing butterfly wings surrounding her.  Without words, she raised her gun and shot at Eriol.  "What...!" Sakur cried, pushing Eriol out of the way.  Sakura's arm got shot and dark red blood started to soak her white blouse.  "Sakura-chan!" Tomoyo cried in dismay.  "Who are you?" Sakura asked, pressing hard on her wound to stop the blood.  With her other hand, she took out her gun and  pointed it at the girl.  She wasn't listening.  There was something wrong about how she looked at Eriol.  "You're  looking like a loser, Eriol," The girl's voice was harsh.  "Nakuru..." Eriol said, looking up.  "I will kill you if you don't have enough strength to be like Clow." "No.." He said, weakly standing up.  "I am.... born to be the victor..but I..." "But you want to live normally," Tomoyo said.  "It's not fair to be 'destined' of something just because you're a clone.  It's your own life, Eriol," "SHUT UP!!!" Nakuru screamed.  A sound of gun shot rang through the cold air.  Eriol's glasses fell and shattered, breaking the silence.  Eriol collapsed into Tomoyo's arms, his chest drenched with blood.  "I was wrong..." He gasped.  "Forgive me..." Tomoyo held him tightly, her hands slightly trembling.  Tears started to fall on his face.  Nakuru silently stared at the dying child.  "Stop it! Nakuru!' Mizuki cried, running up to her.  Too late.  She shot herself.
A shadow fell upon Tomoyo and Eriol.  Sakura and Tomoyo looked up.  Shaoran stood there, his pistol pointed at Eriol.  His cloth was torn and soaked with blood.  His left arm was at an awkward angle.  "I'll finish you off," He said.  Eriol looked up.  He closed his eyes.  A small smile of relief spread in his deathly pale face.  "Thank you..." Shaoran pulled the trigger.
The empty cartilage made a clicking sound.  "I don't need to kill anymore.  Now it's all over.." Shaoran started for Sakura, but fainted out.  Sakura rushed forward, sinking to the ground with his head resting on her shoulder.  She gently patted his head, whispering as her tears wet his cheeks, "We don't have to fight anymore...it'll be okay now..." Christmas's Sun rose over the horizon.
<Ending Theme: White Reflection by TWO MIX >
Shaoran is screaming bloody murder as the nurse bandages his arm.  Sakura, who is also getting bandaged, smiles.  On a wide field, heavily bandaged Touya, Yukito, and Meiling press the self-destructoin button of their gundams.  They watch as they explode.  Yukito, tired from all the commotion, leans against Touya.  Meiling and Touya helps him get back into the car.  The scene changes to a wide open hall where Tomoyo is making a speech.  Heavily bandaged Eriol is standing next to her, adding to her speech.  When it ends, Shaoran, Sakura, Yukito, Touya, Meiling and Mizuki stand up with other leaders of Neo-Global Alliance, clapping.  The scene changes again to a wide, clear grave yard.  Eriol silently places flower in Clow and Nakuru's graves.  Everyone watches him.  He looks temporarily depressed, but Tomoyo places her hands on his shoulders and he turns around to everyone, smiling.  The final scene is a shot of everyone laughing and eating in Tomoyo's hall.  Everyone exchanges Christmas gifts, and Sakura pecks Shaoran on the cheek.  He turns bright red and runs off.  Everyone laughs yet once agian.  Sakura chases after him with her gift. The camera changes its focus to the Moon outside.
