Episode 8: Sakura no Raibaru Toujou!
    Sakura was dreaming... "I had this dream before...." She was standing on top of the Tokyo Tower, wearing a pink custom.  Kero-chan was there...and... a boy... in Chinese custom... His intense amber eyes glared back at her... He jumped off and...
     Sakura moaned and turned in her bed.  "Wuz wrong?" Kero asked, leaning his face towards hers.  "Sakura.  Sakura? Sakura?" She opened her eyes and... screamed and brushed him off.  "I wuz just worried about you havin' a nightmare!" He complained.  Sakura quickly apologized, and said she had a strange dream.  "Strange?" Sakura nodded.  "I had that dream before.  In Tokyo Tower.. I saw a boy in Chinese clothes." "Chinese clothes?" Suddenly there was a knock at the door.  Kero automatically froze into a stuffed animal and fell backwards.  Touya poked his head in.  "Oniichan?" "You having a nightmare?""Huh?" "I heard your voice." Sakura looked touched.  "Oniichan..." She picked up Kero and placed him on the shelf.  "It was just a strange dream." "I see," Touya replied.  "So it was just moaning of a monster after all." "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" She threw a pillow at him.  He closed the door, escaping the pillow attack.  Kero relaxed.  "Whew, I'm all stiff..." The door opened again, forcing Kero to be rigid again.  "Breakfast's ready, so get down."  Sakura glared after him.
<Title Screen: Sakura's Rival Appears!>
     Sakura mumbled that she wasn't a monster as she opened her bedroom window.  "The dream you were talking about," Kero said, flying next to her.  "You have a magic, so it could be... it could be premonition dream."  "Premontion dream?" "Which means you may meet the boy in Chinese clothes soon." "Huh?" Sakura looked at him, surprised.
     "Sakura-san, you'll be late!" "Hai!" Sakura replied, as she grabbed Fujitaka's lunch and rushed out.  "Wait! Wait!" She charged after Touya.  "Wait!" She noticed Touya.  "There he is! Hold on!" "You eat too much for breakfast," Touya commented.  "But!" "Yuki!" Touya called out.  Yukito looked up and smiled.  "Ohayo."
     "Did you have a good dream?" Yukito asked Sakura.  "Dream?" "Apparently not that good.  I was able to hear her moaning all the way from my room.  Just like a kaijyuu." "Oniichan!" Sakura protested.  "Was it scary?" Yukito asked.  "No, it was just strange..." "Really?" Yukito smiled.  "You know, there are such things as premonition dreams." Sakura looked at him in surprised.  'Kero-chan said the same thing...' "I had one this morning," Yukito continued.  "Huh?" "I dreamed that I'll have roasted fish for breakfast, and I did! I was so happy that I ate 6 additional bowels of rice!" Sakura stumbled, sweat dropping.
     "It seems that you're doing very well this morning, Sakura-chan," Tomoyo commented.  "Because I was with Yukito-san all the way to school! And this, too!" She showed Tomoyo a candy.  She reminisced the time when Yukito threw her a candy as he left, saying, "Ja ne!" "Tsukishiro-san always carries around food with him," Tomoyo said, smiling.  "Because he eats so much," Sakura replied.  "It's definately very healthy," Tomoyo said, smiling.  "Yeah," Sakura replied.  Rika entered and exchanged good-mornings with the girls.  Terada entered.  Rika smiled at him when their eyes met.  Terada suddenly started to cough.  Sakura looked at them, puzzled.  "Hoe?"
    After Terada took the attendence, he said, "It seems that no one is absent.... We have a new student today.  Come in."  Tomoyo turned to whisper to Sakura.  "Transferred students are rare this time of the year," Sakura nodded.  Sakura looked at the boy.  He had Tomoeda uniform on and had brown hair and intense amber eyes... somehow those eyes look familar and... He GLARED back at her.  "Hoe..." Sakura said, confused and creeped out.  "Is he looking at you?" Tomoyo asked.  Sakura nodded.  "Li Shaoran.  Please be good friends with him.  Your seat... behind Kinomoto is available." Shaoran started out for his seat. He got up to Sakura and stood there, glaring at her.  "Your seat is right here.  Here." Tomoyo said.  He sniffed and sat down on his seat.  He continued his glare attack on back of Sakura's head.  'Hoe...it's like his stare is painful!'  Sakura nervously thought.  In the English class, he continued on with his private glaring contest.  "Why? This is my first time meeting him.  So why? Why? WHY?!" The period ended.  'I'm exhausted..." Sakura said, almost collapsing on the stairway.  Suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder and froze.  "Jhotto." He shortly said.
     "Nani?" Sakura asked Shaoran.  Without words, he took out a strange board.  "King of God commands, gods appear from all directions.  Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, Thunder, Lightening, the new command.  Soft thunder, spinning lightening.  Obey the command!" Suddenly a flare of light flashed forth, its ray hitting Sakura.  "So you have Clow Cards!" He cried.  "How come?!" Sakura asked.  "This is a compass designed to find the Clow Cards! Give them to me!" "What?" "The Clow Cards!"  Sakura looked startled.  She backed off.  "I can't! I promised with Kero-chan! That I"d get them all for him!" "Kero-chan.... Cerberus, the beast of the seal?!" He asked, looking surprised.  "You know him?" "If Cerberus is around, I don't know why the cards are in the hands of this child," He grumpily said.  "Kero-chan doesn't have sufficient magic to turn back to his big form, so I'm helping him." Sakura replied.  "Cerberus's symbol is the Sun, combining the Earth and the Fire.  And you don't have those two yet?" "Une..." Sakura replied.  "How long have you been searching for them?" He asked.  "Since this year's April...." "You've looked for these two monthes, and you still haven't found them yet?!" Sakura clutched the fence.  "That's true, but... but how do you know about the Clow Cards?!" "That's none of your business.  I'll find the rest.  Give'em to me!" "No! They're for Kero-chan!" Sakura cried, clutching her pocket.  "I see.  So they're in that pocket," Shaoran said.  He grabbed her.  "Give it here!' "I can't!" Tomoyo came out to find Sakura.  "Sakura-chan?" She saw Shaoran bullying Sakura.  "Sakura-chan!" "What the... stop it! What the hell are you doing to my little sister?!" Touya yelled, jumping over the fence.  "Oniichan!" Sakura cried.  Shaoran faced him while Sakura collapsed.  "Are you all right?! Sakura-chan!" Tomoyo cried, holding her.  "It's nothing," Sakura replied, forcing a smile.  "But Oniichan..."  Shaoran took a stance.  "I've never seen that stance before... is that Chinese?" Touya asked, also taking a stance.  Shaoaran chose to ignore him.  They stood, glaring at each other....
<CM Break-- Sakura Card!>
     Shaoran and Touya were continuing on with their glaring contest when someone ran up to them.  Yukito swiftly jumped over the fence and called, "Oi! They had some! Nikkuman! Here," Yukito happily showed them his meat buns.  "Yuki?" Touya asked.  "You guys want some? They had pizza and curry flavors!"  Sakura and Tomoyo replied, developing sweat beads, "Hai..." "1, 2, 3, 4... " He turned to Shaoran with a smile.  "5. Perfect." He walked over to Shaoran.  Shaoran developed a sweat bead and backed off.  "Hora, meat bun." Suddenly Shaoran blushed and started to back off further.  "Here." He suddenly screamed and ran off, blushing.  He tripped over a rebellious little rock on the ground and fell on the school garden on his face.  He hestitantly stood up and ran off again.  "What...was that...?" Sakura asked.
     Sakura, Tomoyo, and Rika were leaving for home together.  "I leave here," Rika said, pointing at a road.  "Okay, bye," Sakura relied.  "See you tomorrow," Tomoyo added.  Rika left.  "That way isn't Rika-chan's house, is it?" Sakura asked, puzzled.  "I think she went to buy a present.  It's the person's birthday," Tomoyo said, smiling.  "Who?" "The person she likes."  Tomoyo started to walk ahead while Sakura puzzled over this.  "It seems that Rika-chan likes someone older than herself.  You fight, too, Sakura-chan." "Hoe?" Releazing that Tomoyo is ahead of her, she chased after her.  "Hoe~!"
     "Did you tell Kero-chan about the transferred student?" Tomoyo asked.  "No, I tried calling him, but he wouldn't answer.  Kero-chan is good at waking up on time, but once he's asleep, it's impossible to wake him up." "That is so like Kero-chan," Tomoyo said, smiling.  The sky became darkened.  "Thunder," Sakura said, looking her.  "Is it going to be a thunderstorm?" Tomoyo asked.  "Hoe!" They ran to the penguin slide and hid under it.  "We can escape the rain here," Tomoyo said, breathing heavily.  Sakura looked up at the sky and held out her hand.  "But there is no rain...." "It's not falling,"  Both girls looked at each other.  Suddenly the lightening crashed down, lighting up light poles.  It viciously attacked a poor electrician guy who was passing by.  All of a sudden, the lightening disappeared and the Sun came out.
     "Kero-chan.  Kero-chan!" Kero floated around, sleeping.  " Stop sleeping! Lots of terrible things happened today! Kero-chan!!!" Kero flew off and hit his head on the wall.
    "Li Shaoran?  Probably member of the Li clan." "Li clan?" Kero sipped his tea.  "Clow Reed had English father and Chinese mother. The mahoujin that Sakura uses also has English and Kanji mixed in it, right?" "Yeah..." Sakura replied.  "Clow Cards are whole new magic art created by Clow.  In ancient magics, as long as you followed the rules, anyone was able to do certain amount.  But only few can create an entirely new magic."  "Wow! Clow Reed must have been great!" Sakura said, awed.  "Even though he had his problems..." Kero mumbled.  "Huh?" "Oh, nothing.  Li is Clow's mother's side.  I heard they're famous for their magic in China." "Then, that boy was..." "A distant relative of Clow." Kero mused, 'I heard the Li family moved to Hong Kong.  It must be true..." "Then I should have give him these cards!" Sakura cried.  "That's not true," Kero said, flying over to Sakura's desk drawer and taking the Clow Book out.  "You opened the book and let me out.  As I've mentioned before, you need a good amount of magic to open the book.  You have the right to use the cards.  See, your name's here.  You're their owner." Sakura happily blushed.  There was a call.
   "Hai, moshi moshi?" "Sakura-chan?" "Tomoyo-chan! What is it?" Sakura asked.  "Sky... take a look at the sky." Sakura looked outside.  "I can see it.  It's same as earlier," Sakura said.  Few minutes later, she looked down on a black and pink custom.  "Because we're fighting Thunder, I made it out of rubber so it wouldn't conduct electricity!" Tomoyo happily said.  "How about the bell?" Kero asked.  "It wouldn't conduct, either," Tomoyo replied.  "Then why a cat?" Kero asked.  "Because it's cute!" Suddenly there was a flash of thunder.  "It's Thunder!" Kero cried.  "It seems strong," Tomoyo said, worried.  "Fly!" Sakura cried, flying off.  "How brave," Tomoyo happily said, video taping her.
     "You said the kid had a compass?" "Yes, one with characters written all over," Sakura told Kero.  "I heard he left compass on his mother's side.  He might come tonight.  Let's catch it before he shows up!" "Une, I"ll try!" Thunder furiously attacked her.  "How do I return it to a card?!" Sakura asked.  "Turn it back into a original form!" Kero suggested.  "Original form?" "Here it comes!" "Jump!" Sakura jumped off.  Dodging, she jumped up to the clock tower.  "Orginal form? What is that?" "Thunder is really..." "You don't even know that yet?" A cold voice asked.  "Ah! Li-kun!" Sakura cried, shocked.  "Come Thunder, and obey the command!" Shaoran cried, releasing a thunder attack.  He jumped down.  'Same as my dream...!'   Sakura thought.  Thunder returned to its beast form, howling in pain.  "It looks scary!" Sakura said.  "This is it's beast form.  You weren't even aware of that?" "I wuz just about to explain that..." Kero growled.  Sakura started to take out the Windy Card.  "You idiot or something? Can't use Windy for Thunder." "But up to now, all the cards I've caught were by wrapping them up with Windy.." Sakura uncertainly said.  "I've lived in Kensai enough to not mind "moron".. but to be called "idiot"...!!!" Kero said, further  disliking Shaoran.  "You have to Shadow Card?" "Yeah..." "All right.  Magic of Impact! Obey thy command!" He threw an attack against Thunder.  It fell off the top of the roof.  "Now!" "Shadow!" Sakura cried out.  "Return to thy true form! Clow Card!" Thunder returned into its card stage.  "So that's the rod of sealing?" Shaoran asked, jumping down next to her.  "But really, you don't know anything, do you." Kero stuck his face close up to Shaoran.  'Don't you dare sayin' that! Sakura just started to collect 'em!" "What's this?" Shaoran asked, looking at it curiously.  "Kero-chan," Sakura said.  "What?! Then, this is Cerberus, the beast of the seal.. the golden eyed invincible protective beast...?" He pointed at Kero.  "This stuffed animal?" Kero bit his finger.  "....ITAIII!!!" Shaoran screamed, trying to shake him off.  "Kero-chan!" Finally succeeding in shaking Kero off his finger, he said, "Anyway, it's too much with your level of power." He walked off.  Tomoyo rushed to Sakura.  "Sakura-chan! Are you hurt?!" Sakura looked down, looking depressed.  "Sakura-chan?" She didn't reply.  Her eyes held determination...
