| Sakura and the Mysterious Magic Book Sakura is dreaming...a book opens... Who? Who's calling me? She sees the Tokyo tower at distance. At the back is a full moon. Intense red eyes, staring at her.... strange looking cards flating around her... she's wearing a pink custom and holding a pink staff. A yellow stuffed animal is floating besides her, watching as the cards are falling. Sakura grows wings on her shoes and as if she's in a trance, she slowly leans forward, jumping...reaching toawrds that person... that person is... <Title Screen: Sakura and the Mysterious Magic Book> Sakura wakes up. It's seven o'clock. "Oh, this sound..." She says, shutting the alarm clock off. Someone calls her for breakfast. "Coming--!" She goes down. My name is Kinomoto Sakura. I'm currently a fourth-grader in Tomoeda Elementary School. My favorite subjects are P.E. and music. My least favorite subject is math. My most apparent trait is that I'm a healthy girl. She goes into the kitchen. "Would you stop stomping around," A black-haired boy says. "It sounds like a kaijyuu is jumping around." "I wasn't stomping around!" Sakura protests. She frantically tries to beat him up, but he stops her by placing his cup on her head. This is Touya Oniichan. He goes to Seijou Highschool, which is right next to my school. I just can't stand it! Someday, I'm going to grow as tall as an electric pole and... She imagines herself growing BIG, and her feet crushes Touya... squish him! "It's another friendly morning, isn't it," A young man says, entering the kitchen. "Good morning, otoosan!" This is Kinomoto Fujitaka, my father. He's a professor in university. He's also good at cooking and sewing. "Itadakimasu!" They say, starting on their breakfast. Sakura sees a young lady's picture. This is my mother, Nadeshiko. She died when I was only 3 yeras old, so I do'nt really remember her. But otoosan and oniichan have been telling me so many stories of her that I really love her! Touya says he'll leave for his morning soccer practice. Sakura panics and gulfs down her food like she's posessed. "Goujisosama!" She cries, placing the dish on the sink. "Here, lunch," Her father says, handing her her lunch. She skates out. She notices sakura... very pretty... Sakura skates backwards, admiring them. She finally catches up with Touya. "You don't have to start out this early," Touya comments. "But!" Sakura protests. But you always go to school wit... HIM. "Yuki!" Touya calls out. Sakura looks up. "Ohayo!" A boy with gray hair simles and waves. "Yo!" Touya says, stopping his bike. "Ohayo, Sakura-chan! You're early," Yukito says, turning to Sakura. "Because the monster had finished its food in fice minutes flat," Touya says. Sakura kicks him. Touya looks pained. Sakura smiles at Yukito, forming a sweat drop. Yukito smile back. This is Tsukishiro Yukito. He's in the same class as my oniichan, a sophomore in highschool. It's hard to believe that he's friends with my barbaric brother, because he's such a nice and wonderful person. "Bye, Sakura-chan," Yukito says, breaking into her thoughts. "Here already...?" Sakura asks, disappointed. She watches after Yukito as he leaves. Yukito turns around and throws a candy to her. She catches it and watches after him dreamily. "Isn't he smooth," A sweet voice comments. "Tomoyo-chan!" "Snicking presents like that as he leaves... pretty smooth," Sakura develops a sweat bead. "Ohayo, Tomoyo-chan." "Ohayo gozaimasu!" Tomoyo replies, sweetly smiling. This is Daidouji Tomoyo. She is my best friend. She is sweet, smart, and an only child of president of a big toy company. "Sakura-chan was so cute right then...holding the candy and looking dreamy..." "Hoe?" "I wish I had video camera with me!" Tomoyo-chan's hobby is taking pictures with a video camera. She had taken many of myself, but... "So, so, I've got a new camcorder! Let me take more pictures of you!" "...shouldn't you take pictures of something more interesting....?" Sakura asks. "Nothing is cuter or more interesting than Sakura-chan to me!" Tomoyo declares, her eyes brightly shining. Sakura collapses into the ground. "Then I shall be bringing my camcorder tomorrow! Rararararara~!" She walks off. I think she's a little....weird. "So the mouth of the boy was frozen into a D-shape in amazement. It seems the the magical..." The teacher reads. Sakura is drawing a picture of the animal she saw on her dream. (A VERY cute pic of Kero-chan....Sakura's really good at drawing! ^.^) I wonder if the girl in the dream was myself...? "What a cute picture! What is it?" Tomoyo whispers to her. "Kinomoto," The teacher calls on Sakura. "Later," Sakura says, standing up. "It's the 12th line," Tomoyo whispers. "The magical orange animal turned... the boy transformed..." The cheerleading squad is practicing. Naoko and Chiharu comment that Sakura is really good at spinning batons. That dream bothers me... I"ll tell Tomoyo-chan about it next time... The baton swishes upward...it slowly comes down... it transforms into...a key with a bird-like end...?! The baton comes down and hits Sakura's head. "Sakura-chan is really good at sport and baton spinning, but once in a while she makes a mistakes too, doesn't she," Chiharu comments, looking worried at Sakura's pained expression. "Uh-huh," Naoko agrees. "Tadaima!" Sakrua says, entering her home. She hears a strange sound. She goes to the message board to check if anyone's home. "Will come back from conference at 9:00... Otoosan will be late today," Sakura says. She goes to the refridgerator to take out a dish of pudding, but stops when she hears the strange sound again. "Is someone there...?" She grabs her baton as a weapon and advances to where the sound is coming from, looking scared. "And oniichan and otoosan are not home..." <CM break-- Sakura Card!> "The sound came from otoosan's library..." Sakura says, scared. "What will I do?! What if it's a robber?! It someone's there, I'm running out and calling the police..." She carefully steps down to the basement. She slowly walks down the stairs, then... she bravely rushes to where the sound is coming from and finds... aboslutely nothing! "There's no one here?" Sakura asks, looking around uncertainly. At the back of her, a book strangely glows. Sakura feels a presence and turn around. She reads the book's cover: "The Clow". The book stops shining. She takes it out. It lights up. She suddenly remembers that the same book had shown up in her dreams. "It's that book.." She says, fingering the book. The seal of the book suddenly breaks. Sakura withdraws from the book, scared. However, nothing happens. Sakura opens the book and discovers that the book contains cards inside. "Card?" She lifts the top one off the deck. It says, "The Windy". "Win..." A strange wind starts to blow at her feet, but she does not notice this. "Um...Win...Windy," She slowly reads. Suddenly a bright light shines forth, accompanied by a bright mahoujin at the bottom of her feet. Every card inside the book starts to fly off. Sakura tightly closes her eyes, scared with all the racket that's going on. Sakura notices cards are flying off, but too late-- all the cards have flown off. Sakura drops the book and falls to her feet. "What is this...?" However, surprises are not over for Sakura yet. The book starts to glow golden, but someting emrges... something small... and gold..it opens its eyes... and.... '"Konyanyachiwaaaa~!!!" It gleefully cries out. Sakura numbly stares at it. "O...Osaka accent.." "Thanks fer wakin' me up! Ah, this book wuz in Osaka for a while, so the accent kinda got stuck!" Sakrua suddenly grabs the animal. "Where's the battery? Where is the switch?!" The animal breaks free from her grasp, snapping, "I ain't some kinda toy! I am the guardian beast of the seal of the Clow Cards, Cerberus! See, if the cards are loose, they go around doing all kindsa bad stuff. So I am here to guard these..." He points to the book to make his point, but to his dismay, he finds that it's empty. "There ain't no card! Why! Where have they disappeared to~!" Seeing Cerberus in such distress, our kind-hearted Sakura hands him the Windy Card. "This?" "Yes! Goreya(this is it)~ goreya! And the rest of the cards are?" "Well, when I said 'Windy'," Sakura started out. "Yeah, yeah," Cerberus prompted. "It got really windy." "Yeah, yeah," Cerberus encouraged. " And they all flew away!" "Oh, so that's what happened!" Sakura and Cerberus both started to laugh. Cerberus suddenly realizes what she've just said and screams out, "NANIIII?!" Sakura gulps down her food at dinner. She takes couple of cookies with her. "Why are you taking that?" Touya asks. "I'm gonna eat them in my room!" Sakura says, running up to her room. Touya nonchantly comments, "Kaijyuu." "How's it going?" Sakura asks Cerberus, entering her room. "Bad. I can't tell where the cards are at all," Cerberus tells her. "Here," Sakura says, handing him the cookies. "It looks good," Cerberus happily says, accepting them from her. "The book...it had Clow Cards within," "Clow Cards?" "Clow Card. When unleashed, they'll brin' charos to tihs world... created by a magician named Clow Reed, these cards each have special powers of their own. But they got loose and did as they pleased, so ordinarly people couldn't even control'em. So Clow made this book and sealed 'em away. He placed me in the front of guard the cards." Cerberus sighed. With sudden fury, he pointed at Sakura. "Yer gonna help me!' "Why?" Sakura asks, surprised. "Cause yer the one who let the cards free!" "Isn't it your duty to guard the cards?!" Sakrua protests. "Well, I kinda fell asleep..." "For how long?" "About thirty years..." "You sure you're a guardian?" Sakura asks, dismayed. "Shit happens, ya know!!!" Cerberus protests. "So it was your snoring in the basement that I heard?" Sakura asks, feeling cold. Cerberus asks Sakura what her name is. "S...Sakura." "All righ'. Stand there," He instructs. He closes his eyes. "O key of the seal..." A key comes forth from the book. It glows brightly. "There is a girl who wishes to enter a covenant with thee. The girl's name, Sakura. Key, grant this one thy power! RELEASE!" The key extends to a sceptor-like form. "Sakura! Grab the staff!" Sakura, blinded, by the flash, slowly goes towards the key and grabs it. "All right! It's birth of a cardcaptor!" Cerberus triuphly announces. "WHAAT?" Sakura is blowing her hair with hair dryer. "Can't do it, can't do it, absolutely can't do it!" "This bed is so fluffy!" Cerberus happily says, jumping around on top of Sakura's bed. She picks up Cerberus by the nape of his neck and cries, "I can't be a cardcaptor!" "Cardcaptor. Capturer of the cards. Doesn't it sound cool?" Cerberus comments, unconcerned. "But I"m just a fourth grader! A world in disaster? Whatever." "Ah, and who wuz the one who released all the cards?" Cerberus sarcastically commented. "And who was the one who fell asleep and didn't guard the cards?" Sakura shots back. Tehy fiercely glare at each other. Suddenly a strong wind blows in. Sakura goes to te window to close it. She sees a big bird flying by. "What's that?" Sakura asks, surprised. "It's a Clow Card! The Fly Card!" "Huh?" "It's you first job!" "But why in my pajamas?" Sakura asks, sweat dropping as she roller-bladed in her pajamas. "The world's only Cardcaptor, what are you sayin'?" Cerberus asks. They come close to the bird. "It's so big! Muridayo!" "Don't give me that girlish crap!" Cerberus snaps. The bird blows Sakura away. "Kyaaa!" Cerberus grabs her collar by his mouth, keeping her up in the hair. Sakura slowly descends, her eyes in swirls. "Sakura! Magic! Use the key that I"ve given you! Just do what I tell you to do!" Sakura nods. "O key that hides darkness within thyself, reveal thy true self in front of us! As had set by the convenant, Sakura commands! Release!" She grabs the key that had been transformed into a staff and swirls it. "Fly no kado uses the power of the wind, so use the Windy to capture it!" "Are you sure about that?" Ssakura asks, looking at the gigantic bird. "But you have to get closer," Cerberus tells her. The bird attacks her. "What? It's flying straight for us!" "Use Windy now! No, it's coming back!" They start to run away frantically. "Hurry and use Windy!" Cerberus prompts. "But...it's impossible here!" Sakura protests, dodging the bird's attacks. "Do something! Cardcaptor Sakura!" "Do...?" Sakura suddenly stops. "Maybe I can do something!" "Hey!" Cerberus cries, trying to turn around and protect her. Unfortunately, Fly blasts him fof and he going off flying. Sakura jumps on top of the bird. "Sakura!" Cerberus yells. <BGM: Battle music> "Card, please give me your strength-- be the chain that binds! Windy!" Windy wraps the birds up. It descends to the ground, Sakura still on its back. "Return to the form in which thy should be in! Clow Card!" Sakura comes down. "I captured it...?" "Way to go, Sakura!" Cerberus happily cries out. "I thought I was gonna die!" Sakura cries, collapsing to the ground. "Ah, more experience is needed, that's all! All this will develop the character needed for this job! Hahahahaha!" Cerberus breaks off from his hyper mode and says, "Now that you've caught it, why don't you try it out?" "What does it do?" "Just try it out." "Fly!" Sakura says, touching the card with her wand. The wand grows big wings, enabling her to fly on it. "How is it?" Cerberus asks her. "Feels great!" Sakura happily says. "Let's work hard together, Cardcaptor Sakura," Cerberus says, smiling. "Sure!' Sakura happily replies. "...wait, I haven't said I'll do it!"
