<Episode 2: Sakura no Setekina o Tomodachi>

Sakura's home-- Sakura is still sleeping.  "Sakura! Sakura!" "Mm...  I can't eat any more...." Sakura mumbled.  "It's 7 already! Ain't it you who set up the alarm clock early?" "O...saka? No one around here speaks that way.... the TV's....not on.  That means.... huh?" Sakura looked up.  "AAAAH!" "What is it?!" Cerberus asked, surprised.  "Stuffed animal?" Sakura asked.  "Yer not quite awake yet." Cerberus said, annoyed.  "Oh! You're the Guardian!" "It's Cerberus!"  Yesterday, I became a cardcaptor.  I'm not sure, but they're some kind of magical cards.  This Cerberus-san asked me to capture them.  "It's a nice day, ain't it~" Cerberus said.  "Cardcaptor is too much for me!" Sakura started out, remembering yesterday's incident.  "Ah, yer just modest! Hora! Ya captured Fly.  Wasnt' it nice?" "It was horrible!' Sakura retorted.  "Breakfast if ready!" "Yes!" Sakura replied, going downstairs.
     "O, Oniichan, ohayo!" Sakura said.  "Is it gonna rain...." Touya said, placing rice in the bowl.  "Huh?" "You actually woke up early." "Someone woke me up today!" Sakura cried.  "Huh?" "Oh, the alarm clock..." Sakura quickly said.  "Ohayo, Okaasan," Sakura said, settling into her seat.  "It looks good!" "Of course, better than what the kaijyuu makes..." Sakura stomped on his foot. "Father! Let's eat!" Sakura happily said, gulping down her food.  "You're eating really quickly..." "I have monitor duty this morning," Sakura explained.  She grabbed some cookies on her way out and left.  Touya looked after her.  "Kaiyuu."
     Cerberus looked up as Sakura rushed in.  "Welcome~" "Here! Present!" Sakura said, handing him the cookies.  "Wai~!" "Then I"m going," Sakura said.  "Kids these days are so busy..." Cerberus commented.  "Both Oniichan and Otoosan will be at school, so turning on TV for a bit will be okay." "Yer Dad's still student?" "No, he's professor... stay here.  If you come down, you'll surprise everyone. Then I gotta run," Sakura said, leaving.
     Sakura started to roller-blade to her school.  "Think I"ll take a detour," She said, turning a corner.  She came to Yukito's house.  "He's not here, is he?" Sakura wondered, looking around.  "What is it?" Yukito asked, coming out with bloom on his hands.  "You're here!" Sakura happily cried.  "Ohayo," Yukito said, smiling.  "Ohayo gozaimasu!" Sakura replied.  "You're early," Sakura smiled.  "Monitor duty." "That's commendable.  Ah, that's it.  These are for your classroom." Yukito said, picking some flowers from shrub in front of his house.  He gave the flowers to Sakura.  "Is it okay if you give me these?" Sakura asked.  "Mm-hm." Sakura smiled.  "Thank you so much!' She said, skating backwards and almost falling down.  "I"m going!" She waved.  "This is really nice day~"
     Sakura entered class 4-2.  "Yay! First one to arrive!" Sakura said, entering the classroom.  She stretched happily.  The classroom door opened. "You're early!" Sakura said, looking up at Tomoyo.  "Ah, you're early too!" Tomoyo said.  "Are you a monitor for something?" "Oh no, I just had something to show you," Tomoyo said, giving Sakura a meaningful smile.  She turned on a video camcorder.  "I filmed something interesting last night," She said, showing her a picture of something flying across the night sky.  "What...was that..." Sakura asked.  "Shall I show you the close up?" Tomoyo asked, zooming in.  She noticed herself on top of the key of  Clow, using the Fly Card.  "HOE~!" "Wuz wrong Sakura!" Kero cried, jumping out of her bookbag.  "I'll take you on! Go on!" Tomoyo stared at Cerberus, very interested.  "It's the same thing as in video!" She cried, delighted.
     "It wuz so stuffy in there!" Cerberus said.  "Why are you here?" Sakura asked.  "To see the everyday life of a cardcaptor!" Cerberus said.  "Sakura-chan, would you please introduce us to each other?" Tomoyo asked.  "I am Cerberus," Cerberus proudly said.  "Hm...he looks somehow different. He looks more like a Kero-chan, doesn't he?" "Yeah!' Sakura agreed.  "What! Don't call me Froggy(Kero)! It's Cerberus!" In the playground, the boys are playing volleyball.  And the strange shadow underneath their feet... "And that's how Sakura became Cardcaptor Sakura!" Kero explained.  "That's wonderful! A cardcaptor! So cool!" Tomoyo exclaimed.  "It's too much for me," Sakura said.  "I"m sure you'll do great! Can you show me some of your magic?" Tomoyo asked.  "Huh?" "Go for it!" Kero prompted.  "But...." "There's no one here, so it'll be all right." Sakura took out her key.  "The key with darkness dwelling within, show thy true self in front of us.  This, by covenant, Sakura orders! Release!' Sakura said, releasing her key.  "But I need a card to do any magic," Sakura said.  "Like this one?" Kero said, taking out the Fly Card.  "When did you bring that?" Sakura asked.  "But don't we need a special pose?" Tomoyo asked.  "Huh?" "Magical girls need trade mark pose to go along with special incantations!" "Hoe~" Sakura said, sweat dropping.
     The school was over.  The children were leaving.  But the shadows somehow remain behind them....
<CM break-- Sakura Card!>
     Sakura arrived at school and saw the kids gathered around.  "What is it?' Sakura asked.  The desks were filed against each other in the middle of the playground.  "What is this?!" Sakura asked.  The children ran to their classroom.  "It's same in here, too!" "Who could have done such a thing?" Rika asked.  "But we'll have to clean up," Naoko said.  Tomoyo entered.  "What a terrible state of affairs," She said.  She whispered, "Can it be work of a Clow Card?" "Huh?" Sakura asked, surprised.
     "Hm....it IS a Clow Card." Kero replied.  "So it was after all!' Tomoyo said, clapping her hands.  "But it was horrible! We had to work!" "But our class was shorter thanks to that," Tomoyo replied.  "Well, I was happy about that, but..." Sakura said, smiling.  ""Hm.... I guess this is the next job for you, cardcaptor," Kero said.  "Why?" Sakura asked, surprised.  "We have to capture it," Kero replied.  "Tonight at school." Sakura stared at him, startled.  She suddenly cried, "Huh? Tonight?! Night. Bad!!!" "Why?" Kero asked.  "Because..at night..." She imagined some ghosts.  "No no no definatly no!!!" Sakura cried.  "Hm, night may be dangerous," Tomoyo said.  "Yeah..." Sakura said, relieved.  "So I'll go with you! I shall tape your heroic actions!" "Why?!" Sakura asked, despairing.  "Because it's my hobby!" Tomoyo declaired.   "But!" "And we can practive your magical pose!" Tomoyo added, going into her hyper mode.
     "It's dark..." Sakura said.  She heard a sound.  "Hoeee!" "It's okay, because I'M here! Hahahahaha!' Kero proudly said.  "I don't think it's okay..." Sakura said.  "Ah, have I kept you waiting?" Tomoyo asked, arriving in a car.  "No, I just got here," Sakura answered.  A gang of ladies in tuxedo marched out of the limousine.  "Let me introduce you to my bodyguards," Tomoyo said.  They shortly bowed to Sakura.  Sakura bowed back quickly, awed.  "Then please pick me up whne I contact you," Tomoyo said.  They nodded and left.  "Wow! Not every elementary school students have bodyguards!' Sakura said, looking at Tomoyo.  "Ara, I'd say ones with magic would be even more rare." "Maybe," Sakura said, sweat beading.  "Please come here!" Tomoyo said, dragging her into a van.  "Hoeee~" There were clothes hanging all around the van.  "Let's change now!" "Why?" Sakura asked, afraid of what's coming up next.  "Capturing the cards, when you're doing something special you have to dress for the occasion!' Tomoyo cried.  "Datz right! We may lose face to the cards if you don't look impressive!" Kero added in.  "I'm so happy that you understand! Then let's change now!" Tomoyo happily cried.
      "I'm embarassed..." Sakura said.  "There ain't nothing to be embarassed about!" Kero said.  "I have something for Kero-chan, too," Tomoyo said, tying a red ribbon to his neck.  "Wow~!" Kero happily said.  "Now you two match.  How cute," Tomoyo commented, smiling.  "Is, is that so.  Hahahahaha..." Kero said.  Sakura looked around.  "I thought I heard a sound.." "Wuz wrong?" "Hoeee!" A stone statue lifted off from the ground.  "Clow Card aura!" Kero cried.  "Hoeee..." "Stay calm!" Kero anxiously said.  "But! It's floating!" "Sakura-chan...." Tomoyo said, pointing to the floating statue's shadow.  "Shadow?" Sakura asked.  "This is... work of Shadow!" "Kero--take care of Tomoyo!" Sakura cried. "Leave it to me!' "Release!" Sakura cried, releasing the key.  "She's wonderful!" Tomoyo cried.  "Wind! Be the chain that binds! Windy!" Shadow broke free of it.  "Use fly! Run away!" Kero cried.  "Fly!" She looked down.  All the students' shadow were all around her.  "I can't handle this many! Is there some way?" "We need light! This is one of the main dark card!" Kero cried.  "Ah, if that is so, leave it to me," Tomoyo said. "Huh?" The shadows formed a huge entity and started to attack her.  "This is too much! What do I do?!" The shadow grabbed her staff. "Let me go!" It started to pull her down.  "HELP!"
     Suddenly all the lights in the school came on.  Sakura flew off, off-balanced.  "Hoe? No shadows..." "Sakura-chan!' Tomoyo said, waving.  "If you shine light on them, all the minor shadows disappear!'" Kero triumply said.  "I can not call out the Sun, but even I can turn on the lights," Tomoyo said, smiling.  "Thank you!" "Sakura! There is the main thing!' Kero cried, pointing at a hooded-figure.  "All right!" Sakura cried.  "Wind!" The Windy wrapped it up in a ball.  "Return to the form in which you should be in-- Clow Card!" Shadow returned to its card form.  "All righ'! That's cardcaptor Sakura!" Kero proudly said.  "That was just wonderful," Tomoyo said, smiling.
     "Chiharu-chan, do you know where is Tomoyo-chan?" "She was at the audio room," Chiharu replied.  "Thank you," Sakura ran off to the audio room, clutching a little pink bag.  "Tomoyo-chan, thank you so much for yesterday.  This..." "AHHH!" A picture of Sakura being thrown off by the Shadow Card.  Sakura stared at her previous night's battle scene in dismay.  "It came out so well," Tomoyo said, admiring her work.  "You even taped that?"  "Of course! Even the smallest detail must not be left out! Whenever there is a card, cardcaptor will brilliantly capture it!' "Tomoyo-chan..." "And I"ll be sure to make customs every time!" "Tomo.." "Next time, I"ll add some lace and a ribbon, too!" "Hoeee!" In the TV, Sakura makes a V-mark and smiles while winking.
