Pocketmon Captor Sakura 2
     It was midnight.  Everyone who had magic felt it.  Shaoran yanked out a sticker and bellowed "Suiryuu, shorai!" before he was completely awake.  Tomoyo sat bold upright in bed, straining to hear something that wasn't quite there.  Yukito, Nakuru, and Kero sprouted wings.  Touya leapt out of bed, landing in a fighting stance.  Sakura woke up screaming.

Eriol just calmly said, "So. Lehua woke up."

It was dawn.  Sakura had spent the night as Shaoran's house and was now outside, in his gardnen, with her things in her bookbag and her faithful Reichu, Pi-chan, inside her pocketball.  She stood in front of a small block of polished granite and lit a stick of incense, and burned two pieces of paper she folded and decorated to look like pocketballs.

"Hi, Meilin. I wanted to talk to you before I left.  I'm not sure if Shaoran told you about that night or the days after that the newspapers call "The Strange Night" and the "Four Days of Rebellion". In the  Strange Night I was so scared and I don't know why.  Oniichan, Yukito-san, Nakuru-san, and Kero-san felt it too.  I think Shaoran also did.

"But the four days after that were even worse.  The pocketmon, wild and tamed, just started attacking every human they saw.  Only Pi-chan stayed loyal to me.  It hurt, the pocketmon I trained and loved and took care of all trying to kill me and those I care about.  If it were just me and Pi-chan, we would have died, but there were also Oniichan, Yukito-san, Nakuru-san, Kero-san, and Tomoyo who was viting, so we protected each other.  I was the most badly hurt out of all of them, but my body's healed now.

"But to be honest, Meilin-san, my soul hurts so much now.  I just wanted to say good-bye to you before I go."

"Sakura." SHe didn't have to turn around to know who was speaking.

"Good-bye, Shaoran-kun." SHe started to leave, but he stopped her.  She could tell he heard everything.

He wanted to demand where she was going, call her stupid for only bringing one pocketball with her, and act angry so she wouldn't see how worried he really was.  Shaoran, who woke easily, heard someone's footsteps last night, so he took his sword and went to investigate.  As he got closer, he noticed a strange aura, a combination of wind and exotic flowers.  But what he saw was Sakura, who didn't respond to him when he spoke to her.  Her eyes were strangely blank, and her lips were moving like she was talking to someone.  Shaoran realized she was sleepwalking.  Then she made strange sounds like the air was being forced from her body.

He waited to tell her what he saw last night, but the aura wasn't hers and he was afraid that if he said anything whoever had that aura would make something bad happen.  He wanted to follow her, make sure that she was ok, but he knew Sakura well enough to know that she wouldn't wake up this early unless she was trying to avoid him(the htought stabbed his heart for a brief second). He wanted to hug Sakura.  Kiss her on the cheek.

He wanted to do these things but instead turned around and went back inside.

Sakura didn't go that far.  Just a few days away from Shaoran's was a cemetery.  Sakura knew it was strange how much she liked graveyards when she was so terrified of ghosts, but she always thought of them as peaceful places.  Of course, she kept this a secret.  Oniichan called her kaijuu enough as it was!

She stayed there, sitting under a convenient tree, lost in her thoughts.  She always left when it got dark, sleeping nearby.  As nice as the place has during the day, she did not want to be there at night.  Then she would drift off in her sleeping bag, leaving Pi-chan to take care of the fire.  Recently, Pi-chan started sleeping during the day, and stayed up at night.  What Sakura didn't know was that Pi-chan did this so that she could watch Sakura when she was sleepwalking.

On one such night, when Sakura hadn't yet started to walk, Pi-chan jerked her head up and smelled the air.  Someone was there.  "Chuuu.." Pi-chan growled.  A boy jumped down from a tree branch he was sitting on and landed in front of Pi-chan.  He had black hair, glasses, and skin so pale he almost glowed in the dark.  He gave Reichu the impression of a cold wind.

Eriol smiled at Pi-chan.  "Not bad.  I was getting careless." His smile was kind, but Pi-chan growled, small bolts of lightning playing across her fur.  He snapped his fingers, and Pi-chan fell over in a dead faint.  Eriol sat a cautious distance from the fire, staring at the ashes until Sakura got up.  "What do you see," Eriol said more to himself than the sleepwalker.  "Already Lehua have to tightly in her grasp." He stood up and approached Sakura.  "But your magic is pretty balanced," He told her.  "So I can use you a bit, too." He held Sakura' s face in both hands and kissed her forehead, keeping his lips there as he looked into Sakura's dream.

He and Lehua were fighting.  Nothing new.  She was very emotional, always getting into trouble, and he had to drag her out of it.  That was the reason why he was alive 150 years after Clow Reed's death.  When Clow was alive, he made his own familiar by taking his blood and making a younger copy of himself.  Then Lehua was breated to balance Eriol.  Maybe Clow anticipated Lehua's personality.  Maybe that was why he put a spell on Eriol that wouldn't let him age, and wouldn't let him die as long as Lehua was around.

Eriol was not looking forward to fighting Lehua again.  She was such a wreck after Clow died that Eriol put her under a sleeping spell.  Even that wasn't enough.  She created some pocketmon thing in her dreams called Spinel Sun who recently left her dream and came into this one.  It was the death of Spinel Sun that woke her up.

So Eriol saw himself and Lehua fight.  The sleepwalking girl was on the  ground, turning blue.  That wasn't important.  Lehua's finger's were missing.  That was strange.  Eriol was using a boy that looked like the sleepwalker as something to focus his magic to attack Lehua... Eriol stepped back from Sakura.  That was information he could use.  But he'd have to wait until she was awake to find out more about that boy.

Another day at the cemetary.  The sky was cloudy, and the weather was a little chilly.  She would be returning tomorrow.  Even though she still hadn't come to terms with the Four Days of Rebellion, she felt better. And anyway, she was feeling lonely.

A twig snapped behind her.  Sakura almost jumped out of her skin.  Slowly, she turned around.  "HOEEE!!!" There was a boy behind her, dressed all in black, with unnaturally pale skin.  "Yu-yurei?" She asked.  Eriol shook his head, and stuck out his hand.  Sakura relaxed, nad let him help her up.  "I'm Eriol.  Your name is?" Kino Sakura." Eriol nodded, and repeated her name.  Sakura's eyes turned blank, and she collapsed into Eriol's arms.  He laid her on the ground and brushed back her hair.  He didn't need to contact to read a person's mind, but Sakura was pretty cute.

That boy he saw in her dream was Li Shaoran.  He had a pocketmon gym, was an expert at swords, and had strong magic, though unbalanced.  Li's magic tipped in Eriol's favor.  He was also strongly connected to Sakura.  "Pretty good." Eriol said to himself.  "But it would be fun to test him."

Sakura was at Tomoyo's, partly because being at home made her nervous(Since Sakura and Otoosan worked with pockemon, strange things were always happening at their house.  She was used to that, but Oniichan always seemed to have a part-time job, and Sakura always seemed to find him working in the most unlikely places.  Nakuru's favorite hobby was annoying Oniichan, and there was a recurring joke that Yukito studied so much his head would explode at any minute.) and partly because Tomooy was trying a new method of training that involved using magic on pocketmon.  She was also avoiding Shaoran.  She thought that he'd be mad at her for how she acted last time she saw him.  She discussed this with Tomoyo.  "Someone not liking my Sakura-chan? Unthinkable.  You probably still feel bad about the Four Dasy, but you're expressing it differently." Tomoyo looked thoughtful.  "Yukito's researching so he can write a book, ne?" "Un!" "About what?" "The connections between magic and pockettmon.  He thinks that some of them aren't even really pocketmon but solidified magic.  He thinks Spinel Sun was one of those pockemons."  "I think the Four Days really had more to do with magic than pocketmon.  I"ll ask him to come over and we can discuss it." She conveniently didn't mention who she meant by "him".
*                  *               *               *                 *              *                *                    *                   *
"Hoe?! Shaoran-kun." She was surprised to see him.  Shaoran blushed and looked away quickly.  "Daidoushin-san asked me to come.  To help with new training."

Since Shaoran was staying over at Tomoyo's, it was hard for them not to see each other.  But when they spoke, which was hardly ever, it was just about the training.  Tomoyo didn't care.  More chances for her to bring them back together.  She spent hours going through her videos, trying to find the scenes where Shaoran turned into raspberry just looking at Sakura-chan.  ^_^ PLEASURE OVERLOAD!!!^_^

"RAAAIIIII! Ra, Ra iii CHYAAA!!!" Pi-chan's screams made Shaoran and Tomoyo come running.  Sakura's eyes were rolled back, her skin was grey, and she was shaking like she was having a seizure.  A few oleander flowers were in her hand.

Oleanders.  Belladonna.  Foxglove, Nightshade.  These were the only plants in the garden, but it was very beautiful, well kept one.  She dreamt of this.  A girl, with white eyes, a head full of braids, and fingerless hands.  That girl was fighting with the boy she saw in the graveyard... Shaoran-kun was there...Something was wrong... Bright light.... Hoe? She was being....crushed...from every angle.. can't breathe.. CAN"T BREATH....

Sakura shook her head.  Her eyes were open, she shouldn't be dreaming.

"Daijoubu ka?"
*           *              *              *              *                *               *                 *              *                   *
"Daijoubu ka?" It was night, and she was sleepwalking again.  What happened that afternoon made Shaoran more afraid for Sakura.  Not just that, but... Why was she trying to avoid him so much?

Eriol bit the edge of his sleeve and unraveled slowly, carefully observing Shaoran.  He had considered making him his puppet boy, and have him attack Sakura, with his sword just scratching her skin, and seeing how long it would take Shaoran to break his spell.  But it wouldn't be as interesting with the Cherry Girl asleep.  he wrapped the threads around his fingers.  Oh, well.  He knwe another way to screw his head.  "Wake up puppet girl," He softly chanted.

So surreal.  Sakura was obviously still asleep, but she gestured for Shaoran to follow her.  Though it seemed like she was moving through water, she was fast enough so that he lost sight of her for a moment.  When he saw her again, she had a broom in her hand, that one of maids forgot to put away.  Sakura stepped into what he immediately recognized as a beginning stance for sword fighting.

He felt pissed.  Sakura couldn't tell a katana from a kitchen knife.  Who was the bastard controlling her? Right now he wanted to give that person a very slow, painful, bloody death.  He drew his sword, thinking it would be quick to disarm her.  For the most part he was right, but she managed to give him some bruises that would have been fatal if she had a sword.

Still surreal.  Sakura was going to a window.  It was open, and a slow breeze was moving in.  Three stories up.  She sat on the ledge, and fell backwards.

He couldn't move fast enough! He dived for her, knocking the air out when his stomach hit the windowsill.  Just managed to grab her ankle.  But she was slipping, as if some bastard had a hold of her and was pulling her out of his hand.  No! So many people he cared about-- Meiling, his parents, the rest of his family-- they were all gone.  He couldn't let the same happen to Sakura.  He gripped so hard, his hand cramped painfully.  Even if Shaoran wasn't so preoccupied about dai suki na hito falling to her death, he never would have guessed what happened next.

He felt her magical energy slip away.  A sign of her sould was gone.
*               *                   *                  *                    *                      *                       *                    *
"Raaa-chu!" Pi-chan's eyes flew open with so much force, she fell out of bed.  Feeling something was wrong, but not able to word it, she ran off to get Pi-kun.
*               *                *                *                 *                *                    *                  *                 *
"Sakura!" Sudden panic gave Shaoran's muscle enough strength to pull Sakura to safety.  Crying without really knowing it, he held her close.  Her heart was beating calmly against panic-rapid one, and her breath was on his neck.... At least she's alive, at least she's alive, but the tears only fell faster.

Very surreal.  Aiya, he hoped it was.

This garden.  Sakura saw it before.  The plants were all beatiful, but she couldn't pinpoint why it felt just a little ominous.  Let's see...Belladonna, oleander, foxglove.  And bushes with pretty, prefectly oval, red and yellow berires.  She reached out to pick some....
And a large brown hand lightly slapped hers.

"Hoe?!" The hand had no fingers.  She was frozen with shock while the hand tipped her head up so she could see the owner's face.  The owner was a tall, chubby girl, with a head containing enough braids for ten people.  Her face only had white eyes, and a thin line to represent a mouht.  That combined with the red dress she was wearing gave the impression  that she was a live rag doll.  Because her mouth was only a thin line, she couldn't talk, but her face could be read like a favorite book.

*Baka!* She was saying, but not in a mean way.  *Don't you know nightshade's a poison?* Sakura relaxed.  This girl seemed pretty nice.  "I- I'm Sakura.  You are?"  *Lehua.  Like my garden?* <nod, nod.> "It's very pretty." *I'm glad.  It would stink to spend the rest of your life in a place you hate. * o.O "Hoe?" *Ara, you want me to kill you instead?* "HOE?" *As long as you're here or dead, you'll prevent pain.* "Hoe? What are you talking about?" *When the person I loved the most died, I- I- my heart was... My grief was like the worst storm, like falling into a deep dank pit and being unable to come out.  Eriol*(that name was familiar to Sakura.  Where did she hear it?) *tried to make me sleep forever so I wouldn't hurt anymore, but my sadness was too strong, and I woke up... all my feelings went into pocketmon and they expressed how I felt.*

Stunned.  Shocked.  Sakura slowly backed away, but didn't get too far, because she walked into the nightshade bush.  Lehua reached over and held Sakura's head in both of her hands so she could read her face clearly. *I do feel bad about killing all those people but... (some braids fell over her face making it unreadable)...(pushed the braids away) ...couldn't imagine how much it hurt.  I don't want anyone to hurt the way I do.* She patted Sakura's head.  *Don't worry.  You won't know what happened.*
         *             *                *                 *                  *               *                 *                 *              *
This kid was a bit of a fighter.  Even with the shock of what happened to cherry girl, and the fact he had no experience with mental attacks, he was very stubborn when Eriol took his soul, and even seperated, he was resisiting with all he got.  Quite amusing to look at.  Soon, very soon, he'll put his wolf to work.
           *               *             *              *                  *                 *                *               *                 *
"CHUUU!!!" Pi-kun was on the windowsill and ready to Thunder Shock the yaro.  Eriol didn't care.  He just smiled at the pissed Raichu and slowly faded away, taking Shaoran's soul with him.  "Chyaa." Pi-kun jumped down and landed next to the now-empty bodies of Shaoran and Sakura.  Pi-chan looked at him sadly.  "Chuu ra.  Ra iii." Pi-kun disagreed.  "Rai rai chya." Really? "Ichuu?" Pi-chan asked, a little hopeful.  Pi-kun nodded.  "Iii." "Chyaa!" Pi-chan started running down the stairs, and Pi-kun was trying his hardest to keep up.
*            *                *                    *                 *               *               *                 *               *          "What are you doing now, Baka-chan?"

Lehua snapped around to look at Eriol.  He was several meters away, and floating in the air.  Lehua made as rude a hand gesture she could manage without fingers.  *Go away, yaro.  I'm going to some intense magic in few minutes.* Eriol folded his arms.  "And that would be?" She turned so both Eriol and Sakura could she her face.  *I"m going to make everyone forget every single person they care about."

"Hoe?" Frightening thought.  Couldn't imagine forgetting Tomoyo-chan or Shaoran-kun.  Didn't she say every single person she cared about? Ai-ya, that included Otoosan and Oniichan. Eriol smiled.  "As strong as you are, the effort would kill you before you even come close to achieving that." But Lehua could still do a lot of damage, and he did not want to pick up the pieces.

Lehua raised her arms above her head.  *That's why I gave up my fingers. Now I have the energy to stop pain before it happens.* She turned to Sakura.  *Please make up your mind.  You're loved so much that forgetting won't really work.*  Despite what was going on, Sakura smiled at the thought.  Or at least she would have if she hadn't noticed a familar aura that suddenly appeared. Looking around, she saw..  "Shaoran-kun?!" A split second before Eriol's magic ripped through him like a continuous chain of lightening bolts.

Lehua threw up a shield before Eroil could hurt her or Sakura.  When the attack was over she yelled, *Chashik! What are you doing bringing someone else into something that you shouldn't be paying attention to to begin with?!*  "Sou ka? What about that cherry girl?" Lehua proceeded to cuss him out.

Sakrau had no eyes nor ears for this.  She just walked slowly forward, toward the little wolf, who was sprawled on the ground with blood coming from his mouth.

Shaoran, who couldn't even sit up, somehow mangaed to pull out a sticker.  "Uka, shorai." A strong wind hit Sakura with so much force she almost fell over.

"Sh-- Shaoran-kun?" Why would he do this? She leaned forward and tried to push against the wind, but it only blew her further back until she was behind Lehua.  For some reason, the dream taht kept coming, the one that made her walk in her sleep, hit Sakrua like a ton of bricks as she crumpled into a heap.

Eriol knew what he was doing.  Lehua did not.  Eriol wanted to die, but to do that he would have to kill Lehua.  If he got Lehua angry enough, she would waste all of her energy and die.  That was why he was fighting.  Sharoan was just a tool to speed things up.

Sakura was trying to swallow back tears.  No.  There was no way he could withstand Eriol's magic.... she didn't want to lose him.. not now, not like that.  Not when.... But what could she do? No pokemon were with her, her magic was weak, and Shaoran didn't even want her near him... Sakura gave up trying not to cry.

She couldn't tell if she was remembering her dream or seeing what was in front of her, but it hurt to see him suffer.  She had to try and save him.  Had to.  Even if he was mad at her, she didn't care.  If he hated her at least her would be alive to feel that way.  "Da-daisuki.  Sharoan-kun ga daisuki!" Before fully realizing it, she ran head-on into the path of magic the fight created, right where it was strongest.

In midst of such powerful magic, she felt her body beginning to dissolve.  She was in a light so bright it blinded her, and it ate away her solid form.

It also ate the walls blocking power hidden in her so deep, she never knew about it.  Until now.  It wasn't a lot, not even very strong, but there was enough to wrap around her and Shaoran and take them into a far corner of the garden, away from the battle.  As Shaoran hit the ground, Sakura turned corporeal again with surprising force, and fell next to him.

When her body dissolved, Sakura was quite calm.  It sort of felt like she became an angel, the kind that watches over the ones they loved.  But now she was solid, and she couldn't see, hear or smell, but she could feel her body slowly being crushed in all directions.

Hoe! HOE! Air, it's going out, but not coming in.... my lungs are screaming... hoe, my body... feels like it's going to explode... hoe, hoe, HOE! I'm going to explode... kowai, kowai, KOWAI, KOWAI, KO- ... everything's going numb... I'm going to die, all alone... kawai hoe, totemo kawai... nani?

She felt something, someone holding her hand.  Shaoran-kun  Her fear ebbed away.  Even if she couldn't hear him, his lungs were too full of blood to talk, but she knew what he was trying to tell her.  "Zettai daijoubu da yo."

This bond was the one thing that stayed constant as the garden world wilted around them.
*             *              *             *               *                *                  *                *                *            *
She still couldn't see, and couldn't really hear, and the pressure didn't release, but at least it stopped, so she could breathe a little now, enough to talk.  Shaoran sometimes squeezed her hand, letting her know that he was listening, and more important, still alive.

"Shaoran-kun.  I thought you were so angry with me.  For leaving and not saying good bye." A long pause.  "I didn't want to see you angry at me, so I avoided you.  Sumimasen." Squeeze.  "I was so scared, didn't want to die like that, alone." Twitch.  Sakura rambled quietly, saying little with a lot of words.  She didn't get a reponse from him for a long time.  "Shaoran-kun? ...Shaoran-kun? Daijoubu?" Her voice rose a little.  "Shaoran-kun, please.  Don't die.... I love you." Squeeze.  Hard.  But his grip weakened way too fast, and Sakura moved her fingers just a little, and felt his wrist.  His pulse almost wasn't there.  "Shaoran-kun, shinanaide, shinanaide! Onegai, shinanaide..."

Vaguely, Sakura was aware of something coming, but she was preoccupied.  She didn't notice until the electricity that was running through Shaorna shocked her via their connected hands.
*               *           *            *             *              *                  *             *                *                   *
Tomoyo was still in a state of shock.  The maids found the bodies early that morning, and put them on 2 beds in the same room.  Tomoyo sat in between them with a sad expression so heartbreaking, no one would look at her face.

Shadows shrunk, then lengthened.  The room got dim, shadowy and finally dark.  Everything was quiet, quiet, until Tomoyo heard the singing.
"Chuuu raaai chya rachya iii iiii iirachu
("Kyouryouku na boya ga watashi ni nandemo dekinai)
Raichyuu Raichyuuu chuu chu ra i chyaaa ra
(watashi wa- watashi wa- tooi tsuchi to sora)
Raa chu chyaii rai iichura rachui i ra chya" irara
(utatteru mo nama na kokoro o keshiteru" to itta)

Pi-kun ran up to Shaorna and furiously licked his face.  "Aaah, Pi-kun, stop that, it tickles!" Shaoran sat up and that action sent Pi-kun tumbling down to his owner's lap.  Meanwhile, Pi-chan was on Sakura's chest, where she was getting petted by her. Everyone got temporarily blinded when Tomoyo turned on the light.  "Sakura-chan! Li-kun!"

Sakura smiled at Shaoran.  "Zettai daijoubu da ne." He turned bright red.  Tomoyo was never happier.

<Owari desu yo!>

After fic rant!  Did that ending suck or what? Everything got out of control after Eriol appeared in the garden world... At least no one died a horrible bloody death.  ^_^ That reminds me.  While I was writing this, Wing accused me of picking on the characters. (*cough Yukito's head bouncing on the ground COUGH*) Who's meaner to them, me or Wing?! (Wing: You! *runs away*) Anyways, I'm still unhappy about the ending, so I'm gonna throw a party to cheer me up.  I'm using Firey Card on the entire Cardcaptors cast and inviting the Sakura Wing staff to roast marshmallows on them.  If I'm not happy after that, at least I did the word a service.

Mm-hm.  After typing rant. XD  I take it Eriol and Lehua both died? And Shaoran and Sakura were very close to a horrible bloody death! ^.^ At least, Yukito *asked* for it, and it was very quick and painless! Heeheehee... *runs away before he gets murdered by Sara-sama*

Written by Sara Quill.  Typed up by Wing Zero and placed on Sakura Wing from August to September of 2001. I"m very flattered that she's writing a sequel to my story ^_^
