Ester 5:10 Nevertheless Haman restrained himself and went home, and he sent and called for his friends and his wife Zeresh.
Zeresh - her name means “a stranger in want”. She fills the role of a false prophet.
Ester 5:11 Then Haman told them of his great riches, the multitude of his children, everything in which the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the officials and servants of the king.
Here again Haman shows the same type of pride as Ha Satan (Lucifer).
Isaiah 14:12-15 "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of G-d; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.' Yet you will be brought down to Sh’ol, to the lowest depths of the Pit.
Pride too can be an idol in our lives especially if it keeps us from a closer relationship with HaShem. There is nothing that can keep us from HaShem but ourselves. When the veil was torn in two in 70 A.D. we all can come boldly to the Holy of Holies and receive mercy. How wonderful. Our Father wants to be intimate with us all. First however, we must trust that He sent His Son for our atonement once and for all. Yeshua the Messiah also wants to dwell and dine with us. He stated, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says..
How does he come in to dine with us? When someone knocks on your door, what do you usually do? You ask him to come in. It is the same in this situation. First, ask the Messiah to come into your heart and life, Second, confess your wrongs and trust that what the Messiah did will take away these wrongs. "Etenal" life comes through the blood...the blood of Messiah and was given on the alter in heaven for atonement. If we confess our wrongs, he who is faithful and just will forgive our wrongs and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. There is no other name under heaven given by men in which we can be eternally saved. We only have to trust what the Spirit says in His word.
Gal 1:8-12 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other good news to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other good news to you than that you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or G-d? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Messiah. But I certify you, brothers, that the good news, which was proclaimed by me, is not from man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Yeshua HaMashiach.
Ester 5:12 Moreover Haman said, "Besides, Queen Ester invited no one but me to come in with the king to the banquet that she prepared; and tomorrow I am again invited by her, along with the king.
Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.
Ester 5:13-14 Yet all this avails me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate." Then his wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him, "Let a gallows be made, fifty cubits high, and in the morning suggest to the king that Mordecai be hanged on it; then go merrily with the king to the banquet." And the thing pleased Haman; so he had the gallows made.
the gallows - This was not a hangman’s gallows. It was a stake on which a person would be impaled.
fifty cubits high - about 75 feet or 2,286 cm
The actual stake was probably not 50 cubits long but was probably a stake placed on a high wall or scaffold to raise it up for all to see.
HaSatan can work through others to achieve his directives. He and other evil forces are constantly working against us. It only surprises me sometimes who these forces sometimes work through.
