Does the Law now represent love?

Law is how G-d shows his Love. It is given to protect us from harm, but it brought death. Does this mean that the law is sinful. Heaven forbid! Rather, the function of the Torah was that without it, I would not have known what sin is. (Romans 5) And the Torah is good.

Love has become the new law according to the law of the Mashiach.

If you love me, you will keep my commandments" (John 14:15) Jesus (Yeshua) answered, If someone loves me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. (John 14:23)

G-d is love.

Also we have come to know and trust the love that G-d has for us. G-d is love; and those who remain in this love remains united with them. (1 John 4:16)

Therefore, G-d is law. Yeshua' is the Living Torah.

The Torah of his G-d is in his heart; his footsteps do not falter. (Ps. 37:31)

Love = Law

If you keep my commandments, you will stay in my love-just as I have kept my Father's commands and stay in his love. I have said this to you so that my joy may be in you, and your joy be complete. (John 15:10,11)

Therefore, love now fulfills the law.

The different healings Yeshua did during the Sabbath. One such healing:

Afterwards Jesus (Yeshua) found him in the Temple court and said to him, "See, you are well! Now stop sinning, or something worse will happen to you. The man went off and told the Judeans it was Jesus (Yeshua) who had healed him; and on account of this, the Judeans began harassing Jesus (Yeshua) because he did these things on Shabbat.(Luke 5:8)

Mark 2:27-28 - And He said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is L-rd also of the Sabbath.

Yeshua meant the day was made for a day of rest not to be a day that causes a burden to self. He also states it is the L-rd's day claiming He is the one who can clarify what the LAW is. And it is Love your G-d with all your heart, mind and soul and your neighbor as yourself. In these two laws:

Matt 22:36-40 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Yeshua said unto him, Thou shalt love the L-rd thy G-d with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

John 14:21 - He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

This is to say we will try to keep the law out of love for Him. (Because we want to.) -

Matt 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

He did not destroy the law. But He did renew it and helps us keep His law of love.

Ps 19:7 The law of the L-RD is perfect;

Man is not perfect:

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.(James 2:10)

One cannot go without offending the law at some point.

Job 9:20 If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.

Since the penalty of breaking the law is eternal separation from G-d. We need his grace, since the law is perfect; it took G-d to be perfect.

Proverbs 11:5 - The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

Ps 18:30 - As for G-d, His way is perfect.

He will magnify the law.

Isa 42:21 - The L-RD is well pleased for His righteousness' sake; He will magnify the law, and make it honorable.

Ps 98:2 - The L-RD hath made known His salvation: His righteousness hath He openly showed in the sight of the heathen.

It took His "perfect righteousness" to succeed. That is why our ways would have to be above the Pharisees.

Matt 5:20 - For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

To exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees one would have to be perfect to reach the kingdom of heaven. And since we cannot, only G-d can, we need His righteousness and His mercy to reach heaven. Once we accept His free gift of mercy by only asking through faith we receive salvation.

Ps 13:5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

Ps 36:5-6 - Thy mercy, O L-RD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O L-RD, thou preservest man and beast.

Job had to find this out also. He tried to declare his righteousness apart from G-d and the L-rd corrected him.

Job later replied,

Job 36:3 - I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker

Job 42:3-6 - Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? Therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not. Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

So, G-d gives us a free will to try to follow his Commandments. The law of Yeshua'. This is not out of fear of death, but it is a way of showing our love for him. "If you love me..etc." He knows we will still sometimes fall short. He only asks that we try. In any relationship, love cannot be forced. If must be given freely. There are still consequences for not following G-d's will or for sin in our lives. But, The Father was glad of his son's return and so is G-d when we accept Him. The prodigal son counted on his Father's mercy not requirements of the law. Like a Father He continues to correct us when we do wrong, but His forgiveness if their also for the asking.

Jesus (Yeshua') was teaching in one of the synagogues on Shabbat. A woman came up who had a spirit, which crippled her for eighteen years; she was bent double and unable to stand erect at all. On seeing her, Jesus (Yeshua) called her and said to her, "Lady, you have been set free from your weakness!"...He put his hands on her, and at once she stood upright and began to glorify G-d. (Luke 13:10)

Symbolically Eighteen could represents the Ten(law) and Eight(complete). The law brought out to completion. If I'm not mistaken, this could represents (Tzaddi) in two forms "humility and "righteousness" ( A righteous G-d has acted in judgment, and it is time for rejoicing in the New Kingdom (Sabbeth). This righteousness can only come from His righteousness. She is bent over representing our humility. We must come in humility declaring our uncleaness and ask G-d to forgive us and make us clean. And becomes straight through His righteousness. It was G-d doing the healing. He is responsible for our redemption and right standing with G-d. Not our own actions.

One man stood and prayed thus to himself, "G-d, I thank Thee that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax-gatherer. I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.' "But the tax- gatherer, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, 'G-d, be merciful to me, the sinner! I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, but he who humbles himself shall be exalted." (Luke 18:10)

This path to the Messianic Kingdom is the very subject of Isaiah's prophecy. Isaiah means "salvation is of the L-rd." The word salvation is found twenty-six times in Isaiah. In fact, all sixty-six chapters of Isaiah's prophecy's may be said to be a discussion of righteousness; of man's inability to stop from breaking it, and of G-d's ultimate faithfulness in bringing man to a righteous state. It has been called a "miniature Bible."

In subjecting everything to Him, he left nothing unsubjected to Him. However, at present, we don't see everything subjected to Him - at least, not yet. But we do see Yeshua - who indeed was made for a little while lower than the angels - now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by grace He might taste death for all humanity. For in bringing many sons to glory, it was only fitting that G-d, the Creator and Preserver of everything, should bring the Initiator of their deliverance to the goal through sufferings. For both Jesus (Yeshua'), who set people apart for G-d, and the ones being set apart have a common origin -...therefore, since the children share a common physical nature as human beings, He became like them and shared that same nature;so that by His death he might render ineffective the one who had power over death (that is, the Adversary) and thus set free those who had been in bondage all their lives because of their fear of death. (Hebrews 2:8-15)

How does the (law or G-d) come into our hearts?

Jesus (Yeshua) said, "As for me, I rebuke and discipline everyone I love; so exert yourselves, and turn from your sins. Here, I'm standing at the door, knocking. If someone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with me. I will let him who wins the victory sit with me on my throne. Those who have ears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying. (Rev. 3:20-21)

So, Yeshua is saying, accept Me as your Mashiach and I, (Love or living Torah) will come into your heart and will win the victory for you through the Spirit. to try through the Spirit keep from your sins. And He knows when we are really trying and when we are not. This is how G-d placed the (law or love) in our heart.

For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says Adonai: I will put my Torah (Love)in their minds and write it on their hearts; I will be their G-d, and they will be my people. (Hebrew 10:16)

The two disciples said to each other,

Didn't our hearts burn inside us as he spoke to us on the road, opening the Tanakh to us? (Luke 24:32)

This symbolized the law (L-rd) being put in our hearts, for He is a consuming fire.

But the one who goes in through the gate is the sheep's own shepherd. After taking on his own, he goes on ahead of them; and leads them. (John 10:1-4)

So He went ahead of us to fulfill the law, so He can also accomplish it in us. And He is inside our hearts now to bring our love to completion. This door is open today,

I am the door; if someone enters through me, he will be safe and will go in and out and find pasture.....I have come so that they may have come so that they may have life, life in its full measure. (John 10:19)

And one cannot see with visible signs; nor will people be able to say, look! Here it is! or, 'over there! Because you see, the Kingdom of G-d is among you." It is inside you. And the constant struggle with sin is only solved by His Spirit. "Moreover, I myself say to you: keep asking, and it will be given to you; keep seeking, and you will find; keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who goes on asking receives; and he who goes on seeking finds; and to him who continues knocking, the door will be opened."

This verse is not only talking about earthly things, but the gift of the Spirit to conquer sin in our lives. As the verse continues with:

...even though you are bad...how much more will the Father keep giving Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit) from heaven to those who keep asking him." (Luke 11:7)

Side note: At the time of Yeshua, the shepherd would use his body at the door (dalet) to the sheep pen, or the mouth of the cave where he kept his sheep. Thus, he was in a position to protect his sheep from harm.

There is a lot of symbolism in this door. Yeshua was crucified on this tree, made of wood, to represent He is this door. (John 10 :7) The pounding of the nails is the same sound of him knocking, and knocking for someone to answer. Who wants to accept me to come into their hearts, to dine, so that I can help fulfill the law in them until the new Kingdom is here. Where He will heal you from all sin. And sin will be no more.

As you know the law was set on stone tablets. Have you ever noticed when these stones are placed together they look like two doors. Well these doors where sealed shut. And because of the law required perfection, no one could open them. They were unmovable. Well a seal (law) could only be given or opened by the King.

Pilate said to them,

You have a guard; go, make it as secure as you know how." And they went and made the grave secure, and along with the guard they set a seal on the stone.

But, even though the stone was sealed and unmovable, the door was opened by G-d causing a earthquake to represent this unmovable law.

Suddenly there was violent earthquake, for an angel of Adonai came down from heaven, rolled away the stone and sat on it.

One can be raised, like him on the third day where the stone (door) is opened to the new Kingdom. This stone also represents the law. And it is sat upon in:

an angel of the L-rd came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it.

The sting of death from breaking the law cannot hurt us once we accept Him and are sealed by the Holy Spirit. This seal is given to Cain after the death of his brother Abel. Abel represented Yeshua' in that he died. Cain afterward received a mark on his forehead and Cain said, "it is more than I can bear." And this is true of the law today until you receive the Holy Spirit.

And Moshe said,

for they couldn't bear what was being commanded them, "If even a beast touches the mountain, it is to be stoned to death

No one can reach the law or G-d by themselves.

For you have not come to a tangible mountain, to an ignited fire, to darkness, to murk, to a whirlwind, to the sound of a shofar, and to a voice whose words made the hearers beg no further message be given to them....On the contrary, you have come to Mount Zion, that is, the city of the living G-d, heavenly Yerushalayim; to myriads of angels in festive assembly; to a community of the firstborn whose names have been recorded in heaven; to a Judge who is G-d of everyone; to spirits of righteous people who have been brought to the goal; to the mediator of a new covenant portion, Yeshua'; and to the sprinkled blood that speaks better things than that of Hevel. (Heb 12:18-25)

Remember your leaders, those who spoke G-d's message to you. Reflect on the results of their way of life, and imitate their trust-Yeshua the Mashiach (Jesus the Christ) is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

He will order his angels to be responsible for you. They will support you with their hands, so that you will not hurt your feet on the stones.(law)" (Psalms 91)

My soul waits in silence for G-d alone; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I won't be greatly moved.

the presence of the G-d of Jacob, who turned the rock into a pool of water, flint into flowing spring." (Psalms 114:8)

when he brought death among them, they would seek him; they would repent and seek G-d eagerly, remembering that G-d was their Rock, El'Elyon their Redeemer. (Psalms 78:34)

He split a rock, and water gushed out, flowing as a river over the dry ground, for He remembered His holy promise to his servant Avraham." (Psalms 105:41,42)

Paul stated,

Brothers, I don't want you to miss the significance of what happened to your fathers. All of them were guided by the pillar of a cloud, and they all passed through the sea, and they all immersed themselves into Moshe (type of Yeshua') They all ate the same food from the Spirit, and they all drank the same drink from the Spirit -for they drank from a Spirit-sent rock which followed them, and that rock was the Mashiach.(1 Corinth. 10:1-4)

Jesus (Yeshua) said to them,

Haven't you ever read in the Tanakh, 'The very rock which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone! This has come from Adonai, and in our eyes it is amazing'? (Matt 21:42)

But as the Mashiach appeared as cohen gadol of the good things that are happening already, the, through the greater more perfect tent which is not man-made(that it is not of this created world), he entered the Holiest Place once and for all. (Heb. 9:11,12)

David said,

Hear my cry, G-d; listen to my prayer. From the end of the earth, with fainting heart, I call out to you. Set me down on a rock far above where I am now.(Psalms 61:1-3)

The G-d of Shalom brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep, our L-rd Jesus (Yeshua) by the blood of an eternal covenant. May that G-d equip you with every good thing you need to do his will; and may He do whatever pleases Him, through Yeshua the Mashiach (Jesus the Christ). To Him be the glory forever and ever. (Hebrews 12:18-25;13:7-8)
