Matt 11:13-15 For all the prophets and the law(Torah) prophesied until John. And if you will receive it, this is Elijah, which was for to come. He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
It was prophesied that Elijah would return someday.
Malachi 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the L-RD: And he will turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
John came in the spirit and power of Elijah. He was not the actual Elijah returned.
Luke 1:17 And he will go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the L-rd.
Matt 11:16-18 But to what will I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the markets, and calling to their fellows, And saying, We have piped to you, and you have not danced; we have mourned to you, and you have not lamented. For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He has a devil.
Some people you can never please. They always try to find faults in you.
Matt 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
He came to preach the good news. Once one comes to learn the good news and accept it there can be a big change in that person and then you begin to see it in their life and lifestyles. Love is patient, love is kind, it is not boastful or keep track of wrongs. It believes all things, hopes all things. Yeshua looked beyond what some of us were and instead looked at what we can be through Him. We should not expect those that do not have this new nature to live the lives that are always pleasing to G-d. This is why they need to know of the light. He was the light to the world. He did not hide Himself from those that needed to see the light or those whose lives could be changed through the light.
Matt 11:20-21Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent: "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works, which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
The bent Hebrew letter “kaf” can relate to productivity and accomplishment. Here we have the mentioning of mighty works which where done in these places and unbelief. This also corresponds to the same kind of unbelief in Exodus. We have healings, renewed sight, speech, miracles that correspond to Exodus. The message was rejected for the most part just like in Exodus and there is familiar murmuring.
Matt 11:22-24 But I say to you, It will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you. And you, Capernaum, which are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in you, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say to you, that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you
These are indeed harsh words. The prophets of old could be harsh too.
Matt 11:25-26 At that time Yeshua (Jesus) answered and said, I thank you, O Father, L-rd of heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and has revealed them to babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in your sight.
From the wise and prudent - sarcasm from Yeshua
1 Cor 3:18-21 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with G-d. For it is written, He takes the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The L-rd knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. Therefore let no man glory in men.
Matt 11:27-30 All things are delivered to Me of My Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal Him. Come to Me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I AM meek and lowly in heart: and you will find rest to your souls.(nephesh) For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
How is His yoke easy and burden light?
For one thing when it comes to getting to the kingdom of heaven it has nothing to do with works. If it did we can all just pack it in because none of us can claim we are guiltless before HaShem. To mix grace with works for surpassing the eternal separation from G-d is a lie from HaSatan and serpents. The true Good News has nothing to do with how good we are. It has everything to do with how good He is. Our instruction from the Father is to trust in His Son and what He did alone. He alone is our deliverer and our salvation from eternal spiritual separation from G-d. One day you will have to stand before Him. He knows everything about you. Will you stand before Him and say what His Son did was not good enough?
Humble yourself and do not trust in your own self righteousness in any way when it comes to being delivered from the eternal separation of G-d. Trust in the lamb that was, is, and always will be the only thing that totally takes away the sin in our lives.
Those that have received this promise through this good news will indeed have works. Faith without works is dead. Depend on His Works and Mercy alone in getting to the kingdom of heaven and you will truly understand how to truly rest in G-d. You then will follow Yeshua and therefore the Father out of gratitude for what He did for us. It was a gift. If we try to go back and give something back for this gift it would be an insult. We do however want to show our appreciation and willingly continue to show our love for G-d. Our motivation to serve Him is not self-centered, meaning we obey to get to heaven.(other world) Instead we rest in what Yeshua did alone for this. We rest in the power of what G-d can continue to do in our lives. Surrender self and die to self and live for Him and let Him who lives in you now live and work through you through the power of Ruach HaKodesh.
When “Kaf” appears at the end of a word it is a long straight letter and tells us that one who succeeds in bending his sin nature and controlling it. This person will get G-dly assistance to rise to the limit of his goal. Interestingly the straight letter at the end can symbolize this rise.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he will receive the CROWN of life, which the L-rd has PROMISED to them that LOVE Him.
