The term Anti-Christ or Anti-Messiah might confuse some in how he fits in the Tanakh. The New Covenant mentions one particular Anti-Messiah along with different Anti-Messiah's.
1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that antichrist will come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
Much of Daniel is devoted to the discussion of one who will cause the daily sacrifices to cease and defile the temple just like Antiochus Epiphanes.
Read Daniel 7:23-27
Read Daniel 8:9-14;9:26-27
Antiochus Epiphanes spoken by Daniel was a type of Anti-Messiah. Again this person in the Tanakh helps us in understanding what the real Anti-Messiah will be like. Haman in Ester is also a type of Anti-Messiah. There are of course other types in history that fit the type.
Wouldn't it make you very suspicious if one tells you not to read certain verses in Daniel?
This is done only because some people don’t want you to think for yourself and find out some of the things revealed in Daniel.
The future Anti-Messiah can be found in Scripture and is described as a King (Malak) in Daniel 11:36 - 12:13
