Zechariah 8:14 For thus says the L-RD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, says the L-RD of hosts, and I repented not (better translation “I changed not my mind”.)
In the past G-d punished the children of Israel.
Zechariah 8:15 So again have I thought in these days to do well to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear you not.
In the future He will bless them.
Zechariah 8:16 These are the things that you will do; Speak you every man the truth to his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:
When G-d shows us grace, this does not mean we can do as we please.
Zechariah 8:17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, says the L-RD.
We are not to even think evil thoughts towards another person. G-d hates this. G-d loves truth so he has to hate lies. G-d is love. You cannot love something without hating something else. G-d hates sin. If we love him we will follow His commands out of love.
Zechariah 8:18 And the word of the L-RD of hosts came to me, saying,
Zechariah again stresses that He is receiving this from G-d.
Zechariah 8:19 Thus says the L-RD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, will be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.
Their fast days will be turned to feast days when the “Prince of Peace rules in Jerusalem.
Zechariah 8:20 - 21 Thus says the L-RD of hosts; It will yet come to pass, that there will come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the L-RD, and to seek the L-RD of hosts: I will go also.
During Messiahs reign people from all over the world will travel to Jerusalem to pray before the L-rd.
Ps 122 I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the L-RD." Our feet are standing Within your gates, O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that is built As a city that is compact together; To which the tribes go up, even the tribes of the L-RD--An ordinance for Israel--To give thanks to the name of the L-RD. For there thrones were set for judgment, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you. "May peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces." For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, "May peace be within you." For the sake of the house of the L-RD our G-d I will seek your good.
Zechariah 8:22 - 23 Yea, many people and strong nations will come to seek the L-RD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the L-RD. Thus says the L-RD of hosts; In those days it will come to pass, that ten men will take hold out of all languages of the nations, even will grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that G-d is with you.
During the messianic kingdom the Jewish people will be G-d’s messengers to the gentiles. They will lead the gentiles to Yeshua! The gentiles will be begging the Jewish believers to tell them about G-d.
Joel 3:18 And it will come to pass in that day, that the mountains will drop down new wine, and the hills will flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah will flow with waters, and a fountain will come forth of the house of the L-RD, and will water the valley of Acacias.
