The village has been blessed with personalities like Jamaluddin Koltharkar, Amde Khot,Shamsuddin Khatib, Bhaskar and religious teachers like Zainuddin and Badruddin Mukaddam ,Roshan Ama, Khadija and Rashida Ama. Zuleikha Choghule and Nevrekarin Ama have been noted for their strong personalities. Abdul-Qadir Alware Balu Dhawan and Hassan Mullajee (Saraaf) have been well known business people. Haji Mohammed Choughule also has his name noted in the village welfare scene and Ali Begg had a background in teaching and business. Laxama and Pichkya ma were the village transport (bullock cart) business people. The village has been fortunate to have had people like Hussain mia Pangarkar (Dalvi), who was a Magistrate and his son Ahmad Dalvi. In recent times Alimiya master (Mukadam) and Alimiya Mayer and the well known Marathi/Urdu teacher Abdur-RazacGothe are shining examples of the progressive village scene. Ali Miya master has always been a very progressive person who introduced the very Radio and youth activities including sports like cricket, to the village. Later on, people like Liyaqat Choughule, became actively involved in the village politics and welfare and sports activities.. Shanker Karandikar is a shining light of Baman (Brahman) wadi. In the current business climate Majid Alware and before him the late Hanif Alware, and now Yunus Choughule, Abdul Razac Parbhulkar, Abdu-Rahim Survey and Katmale brothers, Abbas and Ali Chougle, Hassan Chougle etc are actively engaged in business. Some young enterpreneurs such as Liyaqat Khatib and Iqbal Mukaddam are persuing successful bussiness careers. Liyat Khatib with his father Mohammed Khatib and the well known Physician/surgeon Ishaque Khatib have already made their mark on the professional scene as well as the social welfare scene of the village.There are young people like Dr Pardesi and Dr Sameena Chougle, in the health sector. In the legal field Shantaram Burte is a well known lawyer. Furthermore, it is difficult to ignore people like Baba Miya and Mhamdi Khot and the village Muaazin Ibrahim Chogle who have left their own special marks on the village. No one can overlook contributions of Kesu Morey (street lighting person), village cryer Amin whose early morning call during the month of Ramadhan and the daily invites to village ceremonies in the form of " Gharwale pardesi" still ring in my ears. The uncrowned artist Golandaz who was unable to speak and Muslim Chogle, made contributions in their own unique form.
