"ANOTHER CHANCE"
What is the FIRST thing you do when you wake up? First off, we all use the bathroom! Then what? Have a cup of coffee or tea? Make the bed, get dressed, ready to start a new day? No matter what our daily routine is, are we keeping in mind Who gave us this new day? Think about it! Maybe from now on each morning you will wake up with a different perspective on each new day ~ with a prayer of Thanksgiving.
Today's message is written because yesterday I woke up ~ rushed to write SON-UP, and hurried to the doctor's office ~ not once taking time to talk with the Lord. Needless to say, I had a pretty trying day. It brought to my mind last night, something that I read recently and wanted to share it with you. I hope it will make a difference in you.
"In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good." Ecclesiastes 11:6 (KJV)
Every morning begins a new day for us. The beginning of another day provides opportunity for new challenges. It is God's way of opening a door for us to get a fresh start, to make a new beginning, to have another chance.
In that sense each new morning symbolizes the Christian faith. Christianity could well be called "the religion of another chance." That's what it really is. No matter what we think or feel, no matter what we have done or not done, no matter what we have been or not been, always ~ without exception ~ God offers us His forgiveness. He wipes the slate clean so we can begin anew. There is not limit to that forgiveness, no end to those further chances. Always God is ready to say, Try again. My grace in Christ surrounds you. I love you not because you do not fail; I love you despite your failures. It is certainly true, as we all know, that "to err is human." We will never be perfect. It is equally true that "to forgive is divine." Because He is devine, God will never fall short in that. We live our lives, even through our mistakes, always with "another chance." ~Wilbert J. Fields
I hope this inspired you as much as it did me. Let us always remember, with each beginning of each new day ~ Give Thanks to the Lord in all your endeavors! May God Bless you as you walk today and everyday in His Glorified Light! |
