9. | 128 Church Street The scene of the Finnegan murders in 1865. The building is similar to a Fencible Cottage.. |
10. | St Joseph's School Original building built in 1912. |
11. | Roman Catholic Church![]() The first Catholic church in Otahuhu was established in 1848. The present church was built in 1928. |
12. | Roman Catholic Cemetery The first burial in the cemetery was c.1850. |
13. | Anglican Cemetery The first burial was in 1858. Those buried include members of the Fairburn family, Rev. James Hamlin and Samuel Luke John Hall. |
14. | Public Cemetery The first burial was in the early 1850's. The area facing Atkinson Avenue is the R.S.A. section. |
15. | 5 Luke Street Similar to a Fencible Cottage. Each Fencible Soldier was given an acre of land and a cottage. The cottage was one half of a double unit. Examples can be seen at the Howick Historical Village. |
16. | Canal Zone![]() This piece of land was reserved in the 1860's for a canal. It was envisaged as a part of a waterway for transport from the Waitemata Harbour to the Manukau Harbour. |

18. | Mt. Richmond![]() ![]() This area played a big part in the early history of the area. the site of fortifications and a Maori Pa. It was the source of Otahuhu's water supply for many years. |
19. | Courthouse This was built in 1970 and is soon to close as the court will be transferred to Manukau City. |
20. | 12 Princes Street This was the first of 135 homes built in Otahuhu by the Pegler Brothers during the Depression of the 1930's. |
