Chris, you really do have good music taste.

I don't know why my father insists I eat rice, as much as I love rice, with my chow mein when it already has it's fill of grains.

Kicked it with Herb afterschool. Borders. If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and If You Take a Mouse to School. Bella Cafe. Espanol. Home. Stairs. Cold. Safeway. Food. Goodbye.

2.B.A Master (Pokemon soundtrack)

Ack, I can't find the handout with the guidelines for our Spanish project, not to mention I'm the teacher's guinea pig for our presentación oral manyana. *bangs head on desk* Well...now that I think about it, I don't even need the handout for the oral presentation. And the project is due anytime this week...but, but...I want to get it done ahora.

Ha ha! Pure genius!

2.B.A Master (Pokemon soundtrack)

My hands are freezing. I just stuck Brooke's tie-dye shirt and my scrunchy in the washing machine after a cold run under a faucet. I can't feel x_X

I had a had the most spifftacular idea today during lunch. We were in Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Anime club, and I ran into a door!. No no, that's not it. Ya see, Miyazaki and I were talking about how we watched Pokemon after the party and how we sung the theme song. Then Rin was telling me how Herb laughed at her for leaving the room and he just hid his face. So Miyazaki and I busted out our Pokemon Theme skillzzez, and the club just stared in awe &/or fear. Probably more fear. Then Gabriella's all "oh yeah? do you know any of the other songs?" So, I broke out in dance and song with "2B A Master" and the rest of the club (the bell rang) was like "...wow...Jade...yeah..."

Haha, reactions of the club are funny. Like that one time...remember, Miyazaki? I think it was Totoro that was looking through my team last week. "You named a Pokemon after your boyfriend?!?!" They all just turned around and stared. Ha, that was great.

Back to my revelation. 2 words- Pokemon party. Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat's right! Tomodachi started freaking out, "omg Jade...CAN I COME?!?!?!" I was all "SHYEAH!!!!!!" Ahahahahahahahahaha.

It's gonna be somewhere in January since I just had the masquerade. Wahoo~!

Yes, I am listening to the 1st soundtrack. It brings back memories. Good times, good times, good times.

"Too Shy" by Kajagoogoo

Someone needs to remake this song.

No, that was not my confession.

My confession is ... ahem ... ... .. ... .... . i ... wanna ... gotothefroshsophdance. Okay, that was kinda scary. But shyeah, I wanna go. Cuz I remember when I was a Freshman and Sophomore, that danced kicked. I know upperclassmen can go, it's just organized by the Frosh-Sophmen. But it'd just be odd. Someone told me to wear a shirt or tag that says "I am a Junior. Get away from me." Hmmm...

I must change this layout ASAP. I meant it to be temporary (5 entries or so.) But I guess that didn't work. I'll make a new one as soon as I finish this one fanlisting... Oh, the "6 Underground" fanlisting is closed cuz apparently someone got approved before me, and the person just forgot... It's a lame excuse CUZ THEIR FUCKING SITE ISN'T EVEN UP YET.

"Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus

Ah ha! Yesterday! Woke up, vacuumed the rest of the house and finished up the laundry. Took a shower and put in the curlers, cooked the chicken. Did something. Abby, Nicole, and their Moms came and helped me do stuff. They sliced the cantaloupe and honeydew, as well as cook the pasta. Heh. Rin, Miyazaki, and Totoro came by. Took out the curlers...shyeah, that did nothing. Nicole decorated my mask and did half my hair (she had to go.) Shyeah, she's trained in the feminine arts. Abby, Nicole, and their moms left. Rin and Totoro did the lighting. Mom came home with flowers. Miyazaki helped me cook the gnocci and the ravioli, as well as arrange plates and stuff. Herb came by, he gave me flowers (yay!) Warmed the tomato and alfredo sauces. 5 o'clock. Made Herb mix them while we all went upstairs to change. Mai came by with the cake. It was really big.

Upstairs, we all got ready. Finished curling the rest of my hair. That took a while. Abby, Raye, and Abby's mom arrived. Raye put up my curls and helped Miyazaki do something (curl?) Kimiko arrived and gave me flowers (yay!) All the while, Totoro's still working on her character sheet.

Went downstairs. Greeted people. Brought out food (Quiche (as Miyazaki says, Quichelings,) sparkling cider, egg nog, buns, maple cookies, and cantaloupe? I can't remember.) Talked and stuff. Couldn't seem to find a satisfying music channel. A few of us danced. Herb and I didn't manage. =)

Couldn't tell who people were cuz of the masks. Heh.

Brought out dinner. Pasta, the sauces (tamato, meat, alfredo, pesto,) chicken, salad + dressings...I swear there was more, cuz the whole dining room table was full. Maybe there was just a lot. Ate a bit, until someone (Kelilah?) took away my plate and made me dance with Herb again. *sighs*

About 30 people there? Chihiro and Ryuu were dissapointed that Mercedes didn't show up. Helen came an hour late.

Unmasked about an hour early cuz they were driving many people insane. Broke out the games (Monopoly, about 5 packs of playing cards, and Scrabble.) Played Scrabble with Herb, Shannon, and another girl...I forgot who. Then Kimiko smashed some cake into my face. Had to wash ourselves off (it got on me, Herb, Nuriko's tie, Kimiko, and Miyazaki...did it get on Helen?) Also had to clean it off the floor and stuff. That was a feat.

Kicked it in the guestroom with Simoney, her escort dude, Mai, Rin, Jullian, Starfish, Totoro, Herb, and sometimes Kimiko. Nicole and some peeps came by. Then they left. 9 o'clock, people started leaving. Bid them farewell and got their coats. Soon, it was just Christian, Mai, Rin, Miyazaki, Totoro, Kimiko, Helen, Herb, and me left. Watched tv. Shyeah! Pokemon! Yep, watched that too. We (at least, Mai, Totoro, and I, maybe Kimiko) sung the theme (it was one of the old episodes, when Paras evolves into Parasect) twice, cuz they played it in the end too. Miyazaki's parents came by. Sent her and her family off with food. Put the food away. Later on, Herb's mom came by. Sent them off with some cake.

Played various *cough* video games- Resident Snap! (aka: Fatal Frame,) Spice World...? and Okage. Okage lasted the longest, cuz it was the most messed up one. I really gotta finish that game.

People started falling asleep, so we all crammed into the guestroom. Mai, Kimiko, and Rin shared the main portion of the bed, while I slept at their feet. Totoro and Helen got the floor. Woke up in the middle of the night cuz it was freaking cold (I had a blanket as thin as paper.) Went to the floor. Woke up at 7. Took a shower. Woke up Rin. She took a shower. I started washing dishes. Mai wakes up. Then Helen, then Totoro and Kimiko. We ate leftovers from last night. Played Okage again. People left. Then it was just me. Cleaned the house. Now I just have my room to finish...

"Beautiful" by Garbage

So, she told me to blog about dance class. Ya see, I've never really taken dance formally. I took tap and ballet, like almost every little girl, around the age of 5 for about a year. I also ice skated around then, which may or may not count. I started learning some Filipino dances in elementary school, like the Tinikling, but never really did take part in anything cultural like that. I was in our school's jazz dance team in middle school. Then I took a semester of dance class Soph year.

I don't think dance is really in my blood or my nature. I didn't really do much with it. I don't know why. I enjoyed it, but I guess it wasn't really my thing.

"All the Things She Said" by tAtU

I want to run, so badly. Ergh, I hate this feeling. Look at the streets, there's no one tonight...no cars, no people. Let me run...please, I just want to run...

I honestly don't know how or why this feeling comes up. It's like being unsuspectedly shot in the back with a bullet or arrow. It's just suddenly there. I get so angry at myself, because I know I can't run without getting screwed over by my parents.

Well, I danced today. It's been a long time since I've danced. Another impulse, ya know? My legs hurt now, but it's no surprise. I miss dance class.

I just have to vacuum the house and finish the laundry tommorow morning. Then I get to cook. Oh shyeah. Kimiko didn't feel like kicking the dog, and I had work to do also. Abby couldn't Resident Snap it with me cuz she had to babysit, but we spent a few hours on the phone. Ah, Keanu Reeves...OMG!!! SERAPH!!! I LOOOOOVE YOU!!!

Wow. Okay.

Life for Rent cd (Dido)

Out of curiousity, I was looking at my stat page on geocities, and it said Top search word used to find this page: 50.70% typed "here is greenwood wallscrolls". I just didn't understand it...I mean...Shyeah, wallscrolls are great. But Greenwood? No. So I went to Google and typed in that phrase. Sure enough, it turned out to be the 6th site. It's funny, cuz for the search phrase for the site it says "... Hehe, I guess Emily's not the only one. I was thinking today that I need to keep track of the people/things tied to my bed. So here's a list. ..." Man, Google, you can be pretty bad at times. Anyhow, the quote was from my first entry for this layout, September 30. Hehe, they probably came here because of the tied-to-bed thing. I wonder who that person is... Hmmm, it seems I get a majority of the traffic (besides the normal readers *cough*) from fanlistings.

Looked at the referring phrases. How interesting. I really don't understand the Deadjournal + Canada one.

Say what?

Happy Halloween! Wahoo~!

Ah yes, the schedule for today. It'll be quite a blast, kids. First, I'm planning to start cleaning the house! Oh shyeah, you know you just wanna be there to help me out. Then I get to take a shower. Wahoo~! It's fucking cold! Mom asked me last night why I didn't turn up the heater, and I told her I wanted to save energy. She just rolled her eyes and turned it up. Hn. Ah! Digressions, digressions, digressions! Then I'll call Kimiko when it's after 11 so she can awake from her slumber and get her ass over to my house. While kicking the dog, we'll probably get more dice cuz I need more and pop by Herb's high school. Bwah! Gotta call Abby to see if she still wants to Resident Snap it tonight (Fatal Frame.) If not, I'm going to PUSH OUT anyone that drops by who's going to drag me to a party so I can SLEEP. I have no desire to be around people tonight. I might drop by my neighbors for some candy.

Life for Rent cd (Dido)

Helped Mai and her little Soph friends with the poster for the dance. Shyeah, that was interesting. It had a lot of sparkley glue stuff. Went shopping for food with her and Mom afterwards. Yes, there is stuff. We have to get more food tommorow. Hmmm.

Bwah, it's cold.

Masquerade's this weekend. Everyone's hyped, but I really don't know how I'm going to fit 40 people downstairs. Aw crap (256.) I think we're gonna need more chairs...

This cd's pretty good. It's perfect for a long drive at night...to Crown Point...under the stars.

I think I'll light some candles.

Hold Me Bat Boy, Touch Me Bat Boy

Life for Rent cd (Dido)

Saw a dress rehearsal of Bat Boy: The Musical last night, which opens tonight. It was hilarious. Especially the scene where the animals are singing/dancing to a love song, then suddenly have a random orgy for a few mins with stuffed animals and each other. Ren and I couldn't stop laughing. Yes, immaturity can be underrated at times. Anyhow, we (Ren, me, and a few others) were there mainly for the tech elements cuz a lot of it kicked. Floating cage, costumes, lit up trees, paper. We got very excited, and even drooled. Oh shyeah. Yay! Demitri! I miss him already =)

Yesterday, kicked it with Herb after not seeing him for almost a week. "awwwwww" Shyeah, exactly. Waited for an hour or so with Lin-sama in the freezing cold. Went home, read a packet on Jefferson's presidency and the tug between Great Britain and France. Shyeah, it took me an hour to read due to some distractions. Skimmed through a tech packet for the stage and materials for the test today. I think I'm screwed on that.

I have a huge ass pile of stuff due in AP History today, none of which is done. I might get an extension since I was in theatre almost every night until 10. That is, if my teacher feels merciful today.

"Dreams Come True" by SES

Read stuff about Colonial America and France. Listened to an attorney's lecture on child custody. Kicked it on the cat walk. Made fun of Miki's maternity shirt. Wrote a note to Sapphire, Mac as messenger. Clinged to Monika, who we named Starfish and laughed each time we said it. Renamed Coyote to Coyodle, thanks to Miki's suggestion. Prelude with Christian this morning, Rin after school. Some with Sai, but she wants to do it tommorow during lunch cuz she said it was fun. Procrastinated hardcore on an Ethics paper. So I guess I'll wake up at 5 to do it tommorow morning.

"Dig Ophelia" by Rasputina

Dig Ophelia
consider it dug
Flowers, madness, and polar bear rug
Here's the water, just ankle deep high
Lay back, relax, and look up at the sky.

Your eyes never close
your mind's not at rest
Lay back, get waterlogged
Give us a kiss

Water spreads the small seed
Water kills the tall weed
Ophelia

Cut the stem, and you'll see how you feel
Floating orchids just ain't no big deal
Never knowing's like knowing too much
Tap the table, oh here's more bad luck

Your eyes never close
your mind's not at rest
Lay back, get waterlogged
Give us a kiss

Water spreads the small seed
Water kills the tall weed

"Head on Collision" by New Found Glory

Dude, I can't stand this group sometimes. But at this moment, I can.

Looking at notes and handouts to finish up this essay for Ethics. I found the peer editing worksheet that D filled in for mine. Hehe.

1. Does the introduction make a clear concise thesis statement? If not, how might the thesis statement be made more clear and concise? Make a suggestion here.

Yes indeed it is. No suggestions. This is all good here.

2. Historical Reconstruction: Does the writer give an accurate historical portrayal of the system of apartheid? Does the historical background describe in some detail the various political and socio-economic groups involved? Does the writer make a distinction between the powers that support apartheid and those who do not?

She stated her topics she's going to discuss in her outline.

3. Does the writer cite four credible outside sources in the Historical Reconstruction?

*quickly cites 4 sources off the top of her head in MLA format as D looks on*

Yes. She did.

4. Does she describe in some detail the moral dilemmas that confront Diana Roth? Would it be clear to someone who had not seen the movie?

Yes it would be. It's in bullets.

5. Does the writer accurately apply Kohlberg's theory of moral development to Mrs. Roth's decisions? Did she explain the stage and how Mrs. Roth's behavior or thinking reflects that stage?

Yes she did. Yay! That's in bullets too.

6. Does the writer accurately apply Gilligan's theory of moral development to Mrs. Roth's decisions? Did she select the most appropriate of Gilligan's three stages or two transitions? Did she explain the stage or transition and how Mrs. Roth's behavior or thinking reflected it?

Kinda...

7. Does the writer conclude by arguing that either Kohlberg or Gilligan is the more relevant theory?

Wow...Ya...She did that too.

8. Does the writer support her opinion with evidence from the movie or from Kohlberg or Gilligan?

Not yet.

9. Does the conclusion return to the thesis statement?

Yes it does. And it rocks my socks!

10. In general, does the writer use correct spelling in this paper?

ˇˇYa!!

11. In general does the writer use proper grammer in this paper?

Oh, ya!

12. One thing that I like about this paper is.......

her handwriting.

13. One thing that I think could be improved is.......

write the rest of the paper!!!!

Wow...she actually liked my handwriting.

"Closer to You" by the Wallflowers

Had a Prelude with Kimiko. Ha, that was interesting. I drove her insane. "With a smirk on his face, the man tosses the bottle of clear liquid to the Ventrue... .. ..... ..Roll the dice for dexterity fool!" Christian arranged for her's tommorow morning. Bwah, guess I can't sleep in.

Sai's very dissapointed because she won't be there for the chronicle. I have to explain to her that I'll include her when she gets back from Cali, she just won't be there for the start of the story. Poor thing, I feel kinda bad.

Ha ha! Free from the bonds of theatre! But I'm kinda missing it...well, shyeah. But I get a month to relax and busy myself with other things. Seeing the preview for Bat Boy this Wednesday. Demitri asked a bunch of the techies to go, cuz I heard their technical elements kicked. Whee~! Demitri!

I was joking with my Honors English teacher about having Arsenic poisoning, and she's all "hahaha...no Jade, you just have early Alzheimer's."

Ack, I have a paper to do.

Richard, it's all your fault that I'm going to the concert. Yes, you know well what I'm talking about. But I refuse to be your music lackey.

"If You Were Here" by Jennifer

..aka: the techies.

That's right people. Be grateful for those who work not before the audience's eyes.

Right...so Gerry leaned on a wall today with the houselight button. The lights were not locked because I was going to, but then Pat pulled us into the meeting of room 102 cuz he wanted the crew there also. Anyhow, so he leaned on it and the houselights went up. I was reading The Scarlet Letter at the time and Sasha started freaking out and proceeded to poke me and say my name urgently. I straightened up to see what was wrong and my eye caught the audience. I went into a frenzied cussing streak on headset as I pressed the "off" button on the light box. I was going to lock it when the lights came on again. I pressed off once more, and the houselights came up right after. This went on for about 3 or 4 times before it finally stopped and I got it locked. All the while, Ren went on a search to try to figure out what was happening and Jessica tried to calm everyone in the booth down. Then we find out it was Gerry leaning against the wall. I was speechless, since it was somewhat my fault. The one time I didn't lock the lightbox... A few people in the audience thought it was intentional. Ha, wow. Later, Kate was folding laundry that was already folded. Someone had brought out the wrong basket. Pat, on headset, just watched and said "now she's folding creased laundry."

Strike afterwards. The actors cracked a lot of us up. They were either confused/wrong ("I think this plywood goes in the dumpster") or doing something trivial like sitting in front of the plywood stack, looking at a small cut while Coyote and I stood there with a huge ass rectangle plywood for 10 mins, waiting for them to move. But they did pretty well in breaking down the flats/walls.

That's right...wounds. I have cuts all over my hands from tearing chicken wire/poultry netting, and a huge gash on my side from trying to get out from between the plywood and the ceiling. They wanted Coyote and me to bloody lift a bunch of plywood boards from under a close ceiling while they straighted it up. There was one piece sticking out a few inches! Ack.

Yes, DDR music.

Pursuit of the Northern Lights
Sunday, October 26, 10:09 am
"Dreams Come True" by SES

Channel 99 went out again last night before the performance. I caught it 2 hours ahead of time, so it was alright. Pretty big audience. They laughed in some odd places. Ronnie and her sister, Lucy, came up to the booth to say hi to us. We could barely hold in our laughs, so Sasha and I had to duck under counters while Olivia turned around, and Jessica bit her tongue.

Mom picked me up afterwards and we went Chinese for dinner. Then, we decided to go to Crown Point to look at the Aurora Borealis (it was supposed to be visible tonight.) There were so many stars...it was beautiful. I became envious of Emerson and Thoreau's immersion into nature, and desired more than anything to transcend beyond living a life on earth and to become a part of the sky. I craved to be so distant and vast, as was the night, yearning to look back down upon the land with a thousand eyes and watch. Just watch.

Wow, too much transcendentalism.

Anyhow, Mom fell asleep and I dosed off once in a while. Didn't see the Northern Lights, so we left around 2 am (w/o setting the clock back.) It was nice.

"Remember Me" by Hoobastank

Yeah yeah, I bought a bunch of dice. I went during lunch. At first, I only got 3...but the colors were so pretty! So Kimiko and I returned after school and got more. Tee hee. Shyeah, one 4-sided, two 6-sided, two 8-sided, seven 10-sided, one 12-sided, and two 20-sided dice. All in various sizes and colors. Tee hee. They're so cute! Umm yeah, one of the 10-sided are for you, Herb, cuz I felt really bad losing the one you gave me (Bronwen.) So shyeah! I wish I could put them on my wall ^^

Show tonight. I was checking the dimmers, and I noticed one of the lights were out. It was channel 99 (orange) on 2nd electric that lit Marconi. I was all "wtf?" when I saw it flickering. So Ren and I started tripping out cuz it was about an hour before house opened. So we found Pat, and everyone was in a frenzy. Sasha and I had to run up to the balcony to get the huge ass ladder, but only to find it locked. Had to run back down, get the keys while Pat was vollying Libby with "where's the ladder?"s. But after about 15 mins, it was fixed.

Then Justine, who plays Rosie, started throwing up cuz she was sick. That sent backstage into a frenzy. Poor thing.

So everyone was nervous before the show started.

But all went quite well. We had a spifftacular audience. Sold out to row N. The actors were muchly into their characters tonight. It was, I think, they're best performance so far. They got a standing ovation...I didn't think it was that good. Nevertheless, it went quite well.

Okay Miyazaki, what do you want me to name my dice?

...I lost the die. You know, the green and sparkly one Herb gave me? The 10-sided die I named Bronwen? Umm...shyeah, so during tech theatre, Sarah/Coyote took it from me and dropped it down my hoodie (Mai's actually.) We could not find it. I took off the sweatshirt and almost my tanktop, but no avail. Searched the floor of the Pit of Despair. No luck either. So shyeah...sorry to break it to you, Miyazaki. If she keeps her word, Kimiko and I will go searching for one tommorow.

"I Wonder" by Lasgo

Sorry Richard, I know you hate the "soft shit," but I kinda like Lasgo.

Pick-up rehearsal today. *stabs herself* Shyeah, that's exactly how it was, and everyone was tired as hell. I started falling asleep in my chair and on the floor. Apparently, Olivia fell asleep during a few cue breaks. Read a packet on Tools and Materials for tech theatre. It was uneventful, more or less.

Kicked it with Herb. With Brad/Jennifer as well for maybe 5-8 mins. We put stuff in the car and picked up food from places for the theatre peeps (it was our night to make dinner.) Then we set up. Had to somewhat convince the office to let Herb in the school. Don't know if it really worked. He got the visitor's pass, but I don't know what happened cuz when I got upstairs there were people (namely someone from the office) and he was leaving, or something. Hmmm, he has my hat...doesn't he? Liza was dissapointed cuz she saw him but I didn't introduce him to her. Hehe.

The boy beat me at speed. I think you all know what this means. Actually...I don't think you do. At least, not you readers. Que triste.

My desk is quite cluttered. It's bad chi. I think I'll spend some time clearing it off.

Went to Powell's and kicked it there for awhile with Lin-sama, Kimiko, Totoro, Mai, Sai, and Rin. It was spifftacular. Took forever to wait for the streetcar though.

Pomegranates have to many seeds. As soon as you eat 3/4 of them, you start losing the taste. Bwah.

I just realized how much homework I have. That would be...a lot.

"Groovy" from CardCaptor Sakura

Just tried out some of the Upside Down 7up aka: dnL. It tastes like a fucked up Shirley Temple.

The audience was pretty much dead during the performance today. Well...it is Sunday. Most of the people I've talked to are coming next week. Spent the session reading some Christopher Durang and becoming a Pokemon master. Right. Christopher Durang, quite an interesting playwright.

Ryuu was there last night, while Chihiro was there today. Wahoo~! Apparently, Claire Irish step-dance last night. She's pretty good. She was in the International Day performances with a Freshman (now Sophomore) last year. Shyeah, Fides and I did a funky candle dance.

Anyhow! Went for a drink of water during intermission and I hear a "hey Jade!" I turn around and it's Demitri, our set construction guy. AAAHHH!!! hehe, jk. Momentary thoughts passed in my head, do I say hi to him? I mean, he is a tech kinda guy. No! No! I can't talk to anyone. Can't break the taboo. No talking. No talking. So I looked around to make sure no one saw me and waved. I feel kinda bad cuz I didn't see him afterwards. Ah well. I saw Chihiro at the drinking fountains and sprayed her with water. And then I jogged back to the booth. Wahoo~!

I love Seraph.

Haha Yeah!

Yaaaaay, Chris! Happy birthday!

Hehe, I stole the stapler pic.

Now Abby's talking about The Matrix: Reloaded, which she got yesterday. She thinks the twins are tight. Just sharing some info with you readers.

"Horse With No Name" by America

I am very very very tired. I blame some on the song. Dude, I miss Abby. I might see her Tuesday, after I meet up with Totoro, Sai, Mai, and Christian.

Performance went well. Sound operators were tripping out again. The red plume off of Jack's-now-Gerry's hat fell off after the traded. It was amusing. They just stared at it, and Gerry picked it up and shrug. He made Chris hold it.

Gotta be back tommorow noon.

Bronwen/Miyazaki, I called Borders today, and the chick that was helping me out's name was Bronwen. Except she didn't make her name sound all German and stuff. I had the sharp urge to say it aléman-style, but didn't for the sake of her sanity.

Herb, your hoodie/applique is too addicting. I'll sleep in it again tonight, one more time, before I wash it. So soft. *stabs her Kleenex box with a pen* Oh shyeah.

"The Perfect Drug" by Nine Inch Nailes

Omg! I have free time today! *gasp* Well, that is until the play tonight. Yes, lights are so inspiring, aren't they?

But it seems this free time will be taken up by cleaning my room, since I haven't been home and so just start piling stuff everywhere, which causes chaos in the life of Jade. And I have to water the plants cuz they're probably dying. Well, shyeah. I might dust the house, depending how cleaning-happy I feel. Same with doing the laundry, as much as it makes me joyous.

Slept in today. It was nice.

The play opened last night. Our stage manager was falling asleep, but she was still on top of her cues. Sound board operators were tripping out cuz the sound board had been acting up lately. And me? I was damn bored. It had been 3 hours with nothing to do, and I was all "ummm...yeah..." During the play, Pat started coming up behind me and adjusting fader 4 (I think it was 4.) I was all "wtf?" but it was alright. At least Howard wasn't on headphones saying "bring channel 84 down to 75 and record it on everything" and asking me what levels everything were on. Cuz then things just get nasty. Well, not really.

So shyeah, Herb and Brad were there. I stole Brad's soul (wahoo~!) and I have Herb's grey hoodie. It was very soft, so I slept in it. I hope you don't mind, my dear.

Time to change the layout. It's getting on my nerves.

"Push It" by Garbage

Eating some cheese samples. Applewood is pretty good. Mmm, smoked cheddar. Kingsdon was quite...interesting. Somerset Gold is insanely sharp. I think I need to drink something. *opens a can of Sprite* I didn't really like that one. Romany was very tasty. Corton is okay. I'm not a big fan of mustard seeds. Somerton was quite mild, but yummy.

Anyhow! Helped put the set back together for tonight. I wouldn't have taken a shower if I had remembered that I would be clamping the platforms from underneath again. It was a bitch to get things flush again, too. Later, I discussed some stuff with Totoro and Saiyuki at the fountain. Shyeah, island thing.

Ay, I better take a shower. Gotta be back at 4:30.

"The New Zero" by Rasputina

Got home around 10:49 because of tech. Bwaaaahhh...

Guitar is very happy. Went home today during lunch with D to fetch my guitar and walkable shoes. Played the guitar for three hours after school while kicking it with some friends (Kimiko, Nike, and Liza mainly,) then went to tech (lights + set de-construction.) Played outside for awhile before Dad picked me up without my bidding which, of course, was kinda expected. But the guitar at night was sooo gooood. Ah. It was too perfect. I think this is where I need to start blaming musical things on Richard.

Mai ranting about Vienna

Okay, so I really should be researching the Alhambra, but I'm not. I remember when Mom wanted to decorate the downstairs like the Alhambra, but I don't think anyone in our family really wanted to paint the ceilings. Shyeah.

So yesterday, Kimiko and I and a few other Juniors who took a practice PSAT were in our review session, and everyone was freaking out cuz they thought this was the real thing &/or their scores sucked. "Ya know, I'm just gonna marry a fine man, oh yeah...a damn rich fine man because of these scores." Kimiko and I just looked at each other. We were the only two that took a class in taking the tests, so we knew what was happening. Everyone else did not, and regretted it cuz they thought they got a shitty score. Shyeah, college prep schools will do that to ya. Anyhow, we shook our heads and laughed when everyone realized wtf was really going on, and Emeril & Justin stared at us like a tv show.

A lot of teachers see us as one person. It was interesting.

Okay, so the 3, 4, 5 triangle is a motif of evil. Kimiko and I knew that it was going to be somewhere on the test, cuz it always is. But we didn't see it, so we were all "okay, whatever." Of course there was that problem that we didn't comprehend in any way whatsoever, and at the review we learned it was THE 3, 4, 5 TRIANGLE OF DOOOOOOOOOM!!!!! Ummm....so shyeah. A Kimiko said, "I think Tapegirl & Sidekick have a new enemy"

Wow, that was a rant.

"Hunter's Kiss" by Rasputina

I told you all that this song was good, right? Yes, I did.

I've had some bad luck with electronics this week. First the cable modem got all messed (till it was sorted out less than 40 mins ago,) then my palm pilot got all shizzed somehow, phones have been tripping out more than usual, and apparently the television in the upstairs kitchen hasn't been changing channels or something.

Trepanation's still on my mind, though I think that's expected. I guess Rasputina's cellos aren't helping.

Called up Richard today. Felt like saying hi. Then mom kicked me off a bit later cuz I forgot to fold the laundry. Hehe.

Hmm...Herb comes back tommorow.

Majority of my homework finished. I just have to read "Young Goodman Brown" by Nathaniel Hawthorne, which I can probably do tommorow. Well, time to entertain myself with stuff that is not the internet.

Btw, this is a good song. I like the ending the best.

"The Scientist" by Coldplay

I cleaned my whole room yesterday searching for that capo. I still can't find it. But I found other interesting/long forgotten things.

- 2 palm pilots
- the Ancient Slauro Zodiac
- Ash vs Heero
- random zip lock bags
- comics cut out from newspapers
- many, many pens
- notes from students when I was an ODS counselor
- my favorite postcard of Venice
- confetti
- a 3 year old gift certificate ($15) to Wherehouse Music
- cassette tapes
- film (I'm pondering if I should develop them to see what they are)

And other stuff. But no capo. *continues to cry* I really don't know where it could be.

Practice PSAT today. Shyeah, that was great. I explored the wonders of my calculator, as did my friends. Afterwards, got some coffee with Kimiko and Chris' birthday present. Then wet tech for 4 hours. That was great.

So tired. Open house tommorow. Gotta represent Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Anime Club the whole time. Then Mom's holding a party.

Internet's still down. Bwah.

Dry tech today. *yawns* Tiredness. Shyeah, I recorded the lights and stuff in the booth with our light designer figured out what he wanted. Olivia and Sasha ran sound at the same time while Jen was doing stuff. Ren and Jessica took notes on everything. Sound got finished earlier (of course) so we made them stand on stage while we did light stuff. We only have 54 light cues. Tee hee. Wet tech tommorow. I'm kinda scared.

Wahoo! New things to do with cds that don't burn the way I want them to! Stick one into your microwave for 2 seconds. Jessica told me to, and it's all funky and stuff.

Subject is from Mac in my tech class. Pat made a few of us bring tables and stuff to the Pit of Despair. It took a while, and poor Olivia was probably running with a fever. So shyeah, I believe Mac is correct.

"Falling for You" by Weezer

Internet's down, but I'm gonna blog anyways.

Grrr...Sophomores won spirit week again. The Junior skit kicked so much more. Come on!

(scene: Miki (as teacher type person,) Big Bird (looks more like a huge chicken), Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch, and Elmo stage right, a bunch of Juniors look like they're watching tv stage left.)

Miki: Well hello girls and boys!...without the boys...Anyhow, this show is brought to you by the letters S *holds up cut out S* M *holds up cut out M* A *holds up cut out A* zero-five! *holds up 0 and 5, Junior scream insanely* Oh look! It's Big Bird. *walks to yellow chicken, representing the yellow Freshmen* Wow Big Bird, why are you so tall and yellow? Oh wait! You haven't put on your heavy backpack yet! *laughter*

Big Bird: *puts on packed backpack and struggles to stand up.*

Miki: Oh my! Well, there's Cookie Monster! *walks over to Cookie Monster holding a Pizzicato pizza box, symbolizing the blue Sophomores* Hello Cookie Monster! I bet you're enjoying those really yummy cookies! Hmmm...that's not a cookie you're holding, it's a Pizzacato box! Now that you can go off campus, you don't have to go to the cafeteria to eat those greasy cookies. You can go out and get a slice of pizza! Yay! *cheers from the Soph*

Miki: Aww...is this Oscar the Grouch that I see? *walks to green Oscar, portraying the Juniors*

Oscar: *bangs head w/ the trash can lid repeatedly* *laughter*

Miki: Looks like Oscar isn't very happy!

Oscar: *lid to head matter o' factly*

Miki: Oh my! What could be making Oscar all grouchy?

Oscar: *tosses out the huge ass Norton's book from the trash can to stage right* *laughter and cheers, especially from the upperclassmen*

Miki: Hehehe...Okay....*steps to red Elmo, reflecting the Seniors* *cheers and "Elmo!" from the Seniors* Why hello, Elmo! You look very happy! Why could that be?

Elmo: Elmo graduating! *cheers from Seniors again*

(show pauses, Rimsha stands up with a remote controller from stage left.)

Rimsha: Wait! We're Juniors...what are we doing watching Sesame Street? *switches channel and Sesame Street peeps leave, Cameron in their place as Carson Daley from TRL. He says something about the J-Unit. Dancers come on and dance for a few minutes.*

(Dance ends, actors turn to audience chanting "Junior power" My cue and some others to stand up to rally up the rest of the Juniors to join in.)

Dude...okay, so it isn't the best skit in the world. But it was better than the others. Freshmen did this sleep over thing where the girls were all "what am I gonna wear for spirit week?" and they talk about yellow. Sophomores did a medley musical thing with Gilligans Island (Frosh), The Brady Bunch (soph), The Adams Family (Juniors), and something else (Seniors.) All the Seniors did was dance. Anyhow, it was 8 of the faculty judging, so blah. Juniors tied w/ Seniors 2nd place for spirit week. The upperclassmen were joking (or not) that we'd beat up any Sophomore we saw within the next week. Heh.

Ummm...yeah. Junior power.

Enough of that. Had the practice SAT review today. Bwah. Right, Kernel: Nut as Yolk:Egg. Does anyone see the logic in that? Cuz I don't.

Went to see Lost in Translation with Kimiko and Herb. Stayed past the credits and part of the preview stuffs talking about various things (Initial D, movies, a bunch of shiznit.) Choked Herb when I saw Seraph. Figured we didn't want to see the movie again and left. Mom picked us up, dropped everyone off. Met Herb's Dad, it was spiff.

Subject is a quote from John Addams in the movie, 1776. It's so beautiful.

Wahoo! Dad just gave me a Sci-Fi channel baseball cap that says "Sci-Fi" with their logo. Booyaka!

Btw, Herb. I just remembered. The book was Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury.

The class persuaded our Ethics teacher to watch a video instead of taking lame ass notes on a handout. Shyeah, we called him a Borg. That hit him right at the heart. Hehehe, I love my Ethics class.

Had a test in Spanish 3. It was mas facil que pensabamos. Our teacher was in an insanely good mood, and she let us (at least, those who wanted to) play this funky description game. Shyeah, funky description game. It kicked, but my team (Mai, Ryuu, Chihiro, and Gabriel) lost to the crazy tv/movie freaks opposing us.

Went shopping with Risa for a bit. Bought a last resort shirt for the masquerade. Shyeah, it's pretty spiff. She drank hot chocolate, though I knew she shouldn't have, cuz she's on crosscountry and their practices are pretty hardcore. I told her not to. .... ... .. .... Okay, that's a lie. I kinda stood there and told her she shouldn't, but if she really wanted to, go ahead and drink some cuz I knew I couldn't stop her.

Went back to school and waited for Herb in the rain (tee hee.) He came by an hour later. Shyeah, I know, my fault. Selective hearing...ya know, girl's specialize in it. Hehe. Anyhow...Italian soda. Waterfront. Geeses. 5 mins v-ball game.

Watched a run-through of the fall play with all of the tech people (except the 2 stagehands who couldn't make it.) Shyeah, it'll be interesting. Lights for me. Wahoo~! So, dry tech is Friday...where we tech everything. Then wet tech Saturday, with the runthroughs of doom!

I am so tired.

I have no idea why I'm listening to this song. Well...it isn't that bad.

7 days at school this week. Had an SAT class this morning. I got a 99/100 for the PLAN test for grammar, but 92/100 for reading. English section (especially reading comprehension) is rearing it's ugly head. Tengo miedo. Math should be fun, though.

Me: *glances at clock reading 2:15* It feels like school

"Rough Draft" by Yellowcard

Let's see. Set construction again. Cut some beams, shaped some mountains, stapled some board stuff. Demitri asked me to go along with him with some other students to his shop where he to help make the metal tree. Wahoo~! Metal tree! Herb came by and held stuff and coiled that crazy blue compresser cord.

Went to Borders and bought a book with 6 of Christopher Durang's plays. For tech theatre, we have to build a mini-set of a play. I'm hoping I can persuade Pat to let me do 'Dentity Crisis. If I try really hard, I'm sure I can some how.

Took a couple of pictures of Colin at his desk. Herb shook his hand. It was quite busy though, so we left him promptly.

Came home. Parents all in a tizzy. Had to play piano after months of not practicing. Terrible. After we bid Herb farewell, (taken from a comment posted in Herb's journal thing) my parents gave me a weird talk about calling ahead of time when I go places, which as you know, I do. But they were talking a day ahead of time, which I try to do. But I did warn them, their memory's just failing. Anyhow, that argument evolved into my past and then everything exploded. Like, "kaboom." After a while, it was okay because there was the guitar...for 3 hours.

Yes, the guitar. And the music. Damn you, Richard.

Okay, it's not really that cold anymore. At least, not in my room.

Wow. Today. Wow. Goth off was insane. Well, not insane, but pretty ..... ... ... Shyeah, it was Kimiko, Helen, and me (the Juniors) against Mai, Saiyuki, and Rin (the Sophomores.) I think we won cuz Rin was being more punkish. Mai had a Trinity trenchcoat. Bwah. Anyhow! The Freshmen poser goths took offense and we got many glares in the halls today. But hey, individual does not equal goth. We beat them all in their gothness anyways. Tee hee. People took pictures, it was funny. I'll scan some later when they develop

Then we went to Avalon and played some video games for a few hours. Everyone left me, so it was just me on the bus on the way home. Had a mini-conversation with some guy who just moved up from San Diego and stuff. Heh. That was more or less interesting.

El Pavo de Mal Destino
Thursday, October 2, 8:23 pm
"Addicted" by Truth Hurts ft. Rakim

Taking a break from my transdentalism project for Honors English. I'm waiting for the paint and glue to dry so I can keep going. Bwah.

Traced maps in AP History, study hall in Honors English, and played with lights in Tech Theatre. Herb, Emeril, and Kimiko came home with me to help out with the posters. We took down almost all the stuff on my wall and rearranged them. That was very tedious. Then Emeril, Kimiko, and their aesthetic eyes left, leaving Herb and I to fend for ourselves. *looks at wall* umm, shyeah. The pink/coral/salmon colored walls are starting, poco a poco, to be covered.

So the subject. I have this funky turkey I colored for extra credit in Espanol 2 last year. It said "El Pavo" at the bottom, so I added "de Mal Destino." We didn't know where to put it. Herb proposed to put it under the food collage. Well, my dear, I took your advice and it's staring with it's crosseyed gaze at me, oblivious to it's destiny picture above it.

"One Headlight" by the Wallflowers

Yes, dinner was interesting. I was silent for the most part, listening to the gossip flow through one ear and out the other. Then the table exploded when one name came up: Herb. That's right Herb, you caused quite the inquiry from my family (my aunt, uncle, and grandparents.) I had to repeat every answer to their question twice cuz they were interrogating my mom and I like vultures. Well, not like vultures. More like blue jays. My grandpa and dad didn't say anything. I take that back, dad was teasing me. Hn. Anyhow, don't worry, Herb. You're on good terms.

Our bus boy guy was really cute!!!! Awww...But my Aunt hypothosized he was bakla, and I had to agree. Mom did too. *afterthought* Though he had a the most charming smile. *squeals in delight* Another one tied to my bed.

Shyeah, so I had a weird dream last night. All I remember is Kimiko and my locker grew 3 times wider and it was really big, but just as messy. I was living in a house that's different from mine. It looked like my neighbor's house. Herb came by, but I kept him outside for 2 hours cuz I couldn't decide what to wear. Then I felt really bad. Ummm...that's all I remember.

Ha.

Stealing with a Down Payment
Wednesday, October 1, 5:59 pm
"Can't Stop" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers

A few days ago, Bronwen popped her head into the classroom during TA and asked me to C walk for her. That caught me by surprised. I hadn't C walked since Sophomore year (heh, a few months ago.) So I made sure no one was looking and did a few moves for her. Then she said thanks and left. Then people suddenly looked over and told me I was weird, apparently cuz I was standing at the door alone and without a cause. I found it slightly amusing.

In Spanish, my group and I finished a skit. It's very interesting. Mai and I are no longer seperated. Desk by desk, I finally sit behind her. Or she sits in front of me. One of those.

Herb walked me home. It was quite nice.

Going out to dinner tonight with some family. This'll be interesting as well. I don't know why, it just will be. Bwah, I have to dress up a bit.

Subject is from Ethics. We were put in a situation where our spouse was sick and the drugist was selling the medicine for $1800 more than he got it ($200.) I didn't have enough money, and the most I got from other people's loans were $1000. So I broke in the drug store, planning to steal it. Then we had to figure out what to do. One girl said she'd steal it and put the $1000 on the counter. Then our teacher said "Ah! Stealing with a down payment, eh?"

Richard, where the hell are you?

Well, new layout. It sux. I can assure you this one will be short lived. I was going to use a picture of Ophelia from Hamlet that I drew over the summer, but I keep on forgetting to scan it at school (our home scanner is broken.) Anyhow, this pic is from the dating simulation Kanon.

I finished the fanlisting for "6 Underground" by the Sneaker Pimps. It needs a host though cuz I don't want any crazy of geocities' banners hanging around on its frames.

Yesterday...Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Anime Club was kinda uneventful. Voted on a club logo, talked about the open house booth, and that's all I can really remember cuz I had Mai clinging to my leg again. Hehe, I guess Emily's not the only one.

I was thinking today that I need to keep track of the people/things tied to my bed. So here's a list.

1-3. Seraph from The Matrix Trilogy (x3)
4. Methodist Man from Bad Credit
5. Rock from Metropolis
6. Quatre from Gundam Wing
7. That really hot chick I saw at Pioneer Place
8. The guy who was cosplaying as Neo when Matrix: Reloaded came out that I passed by when crossing the street
9. Rin's blue Nalgene bottle
10-14. Band members of Linkin Park (rotating)
15. Hannah's little sister
16. That stunning and beautiful Pleyel piano at the Carriage House
17. Dante from Devil May Cry
18. Mark Antony (historical and f/ Julius Caesar)
19. Mark at Ruth Chris.
