I am always desperate for more Hitchhiker fan fiction. There are a few basic R&R, but if you follow them your piece has pretty much a 100 percent chance of being put up. There's a spot just waiting for you.

Rules&Requirements

1. Send the file to me as either text or HTML, or make it painfully obvious where I am to link to.

2. Include the email address you want me to use for feedback.

3. Somewhere in the message you send me (not necessarily the piece itself), give clear permission to put it up. Something like, "... can be posted at the Hitchhiker's Library," or, "Leigh, can you put this on your site for me."

4. If your fic includes slash or otherwise adult content, warn me (and everyone else). While you're at it, summaries are great things... (hint, hint)

5. Feed it through a spell check at least once. I realize that half your words are made up and the other half are spelled the Canadian way, but you are not the definitive guide on English, or whatever language you're writing in. Look at the trouble I got myself into.

6. I have nothing against unfinished fics, but if you're not planning on working on it, at least feel guilty once in a while.

and, at last

7. Come back in a while to check and make certain I've got everything just how you want it.

Hmmm... More R&R than I thought, actually. Ah, well. Send donations to hitchhikerslibrary@yahoo.ca. I'll get your story up as soon as I can.

Douglas Adams owned the Hitchhiker's Trilogy, and all the characters, ideas, and arithmetic theories that implies. Now, I suppose, his publishers and/or heirs do, which is a rather depressing thought. The authors who wrote them own the other fine examples of literature contained in this site. Yahoo owns the site. I don't know what that leaves me with, but it isn't much.
