Hitman's Top Coaster Page
This is the Hitman and I love rollercoasters!  I've ridden over 80 coasters in the Eastern United States (and Las Vegas) and I even work at an amusement park during the summer.  I have also been a member of the American Coaster Enthuastists since 1996.  Here is a list of my favorite wood and steel coasters.
Wooden Top Ten
10.  Racer - Kennywood Park, West Mifflin, Pennsylvania - One of the last remaining continuous circut racing coasters.  Good airtime in the back seats, especially on the last hill.
9.  Comet - Hersheypark, Hershey, Pennsylvania - Lively L-shaped out and back ride and good airtime.
8. Phoenix - Knoebel's, Elysburg, Pennsylvania - Great airtime over numerous bunnyhops.

7. Rebel Yell/Racer - Paramount's Kings Dominion, Richmond, Virginia/ Paramount's Kings Island, Cincinnati, Ohio - Good airtime on both and when you're going backwards you can't see it coming!
6. Grizzly - Paramount's Kings Dominion, Richmond, Virginia - After the first drop and turn combo, the ride breaks out and becomes very fast and powerful.
5.  The Villian - Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, Aurora, Ohio - Amazing power and airtime for a medium sized coaster.  Great first drop and a solid ride all the way through.
4.
Twister - Knoebel's, Elysburg, Pennsylvania - Excellent twister.  Awesome drops and turns.  Great double helix.
3.  Thunderbolt -  Kennywood Park, West Mifflin, Pennsylvania - Very unique.  Great layout, killer lateral g's, nice drops, good airtime on several hills.
2.  Wildcat - Hersheypark, Hershey, Pennsylvania - An amazing ride.  Great turns and surprising airtime.
1.  The Beast - Paramount's Kings Island, Cincinnati, Ohio - Back seat gives great out of control ride.  Good airtime on the first hill.  Very long ride.  Helix finale is absoutly amazing, the best single wood coaster element I have ever experienced!  Even better at night.
Steel Top Ten
10.  Desperado - Buffalo Bill's Casino, Primm, Nevada -  Long, powerful ride with great first drop.

9.  X-Flight - Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, Aurora, Ohio - Unique flying coaster.  The flying
sensation is awesome!
8.  Raptor -  Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio - Excellent inversions on this inverted coaster.

7.  Alpengeist - Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia - Tall, fast inverted coaster.  Great inversions and a very disorenting ride.  Excellent in the front seat.
6.  Apollo's Chariot - Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia - Great out and back coaster.  Good airtime, surprising final drop.
5.  Magnum XL-200 - Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio -   The original hypercoaster.  Still a great ride with great drops and airtime throughout.
4.  Superman: Ride of Steel - Six Flags Darien Lake, Darien Center, New York - Steep and airtime filled first drop.  Powerful airtime throughout.
3.  Montu
- Busch Gardens Tampa, Tampa, Florida -  Powerful inverted coaster.  Egyptian themed, complete with below grade trenches that add greatly to the ride.
2.  Phantom's Revenge - Kennywood Park, West Mifflin, Pennsylvania - Second drop throught the Thunderbolt is incredible.  Short but with insane airtime and incredibly intense pacing.
1.  Millennium Force - Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio - First drop angled at 80 degrees is the best anywhere.  Fast with overbanked turns, good pacing, and some airtime.  Amazing ride!!
