Dekim Barton
The patriarch of the Barton Foundation - a military-industrial combine based at Lagrange point 3 - and the commander of the Mariemaia Army. Though Dekim was a key figure in the resistance movement against OZ and the Earth Alliance, he was always more interested in seizing power himself than in avenging the wrongs done to the space colonies. Since the Gundam pilots and developers thwarted Dekim's original plan for Operation Meteor, he's prepared a new scheme to take over Earth.
Officially, Dekim is merely an advisor to his granddaughter Mariemaia, helping her assert her rightful claim to rulership of humanity. But in reality, she's merely a tool to achieve the Barton family's goal of world domination. Dekim Barton is the true master of the Mariemaia Army, and if his hapless granddaughter won't play along, he has no compunction about disposing of her.
