Yes, yes. Doujinshi. Spender of my money. Something I cannot get enough of. What kinds do I have? What kinds do I want?
And just why the hell do I like it so damn much that I'd waste all my good money on it. These questions (which I'm sure you're dying to
know the answer to) will be answered below. Eventually I'll scan pictures from my doujinshi and put them up here. Yeah...eventually... hehe!

Well, I first bought an Inuyasha doujinshi randomly on Ebay. I wasn't really thinking about it--it just seemed kinda nice. It had a Sesshoumaru x Rin
pairing, so I thought it'd be great. It wasn't really. It was full of Kanji --none of those little hiragana translations next it. It was just Kanji every where. I
was like, "Well, shit. I can't read this crap." So I didn't buy another for a long time. Then, of course, I started getting into yaoi. My yaoi obsession probably began with Tenshi ni Narumon.
In that anime there's this one-winged angel that keeps hitting on this guy who wants to be an angel. It's very cute. I also read the Yami no Matsuei manga, as well as watched the anime. There were
probably other things that contributed to this, but these are the earliest things I could remember. So, now I knew about yaoi and how people would "magically" see yaoi in all anime (with a lot of guys in it, obviously).
Anyway, I wasn't one of those people, and I thought these people were crazy. Then I read the Hikaru no Go manga. It was the first time I read something that wasn't meant to be yaoi and saw a yaoi-ness in it. I was like
"Akira is f-ing obsessed with Hikaru!" This delighted me and eventually I was like, "they would make a great couple!" And thus, I fell in love with the Akihika pairing.
This new yaoi perception renewed my doujinshi desire. The next doujinshi I bought was one called H and A by a circle I don't know. It was Shounen-ai and had a Hikaru x Akira pairing, actually. At the time I didn't
know that the order of the pairing is significant. If you don't know, whomever's name is first is the "seme," while the second person's name is the "uke." I'm not really going to explain what those terms mean if you don't know,
but think about the pairing of...oh, let's say Vegita x Bulma. The man's name always comes first. So...deduce from that what "seme" and "uke" mean. Okay, anyway, that was the beginning of my Akihika obsession. When I got more money
I got an actually yaoi doujinshi of Akira and Hikaru called A x H. By the way, yaoi's more explicit than shounen ai. So if you don't want anything heavy--go with shounen ai.
Nowadays, I still get doujinshi. Now I have enough money to get at least one every week, but for the last three weeks (this is November 2003 at the time), I've been buying like at least four or something a week. On average.
I have at least one book of my favorite yaoi couples, but I there are a few I'm still searching for. Also, at this time, I can better read more of my doujinshi. I have a dictionary on my computer that can look up kanji, so I can usually get
the main idea of all of my doujinshi. I no longer have this dread when I open them and see all the "raw" kanji. It's perfectly fine. However, I shy away from doujinshi that include novels (or are completely novels). For a person like me
with no formal Japanese knowledge, that's an impossible task. Currently I get my doujinshi from Ebay (ebay.com) and Anime Chaos (www.animechaos.com). I used to use Rinkya (www.rinkya.com), but it was waaaaaaaay too expensive, which I thankfully
found Anime Chaos before I bought more than two doujinshi from them. Anime Chaos is wonderful and I highly recommend it. I also once ordered doujinshi from this Italian site (three of them for like 70-ish dollars), which I don't also reccommend.
In conclusion I will say that I love yaoi doujinshi and I will continue to throw my free cash away to buy more as long as I still think something like Akira and Hikaru being in love is a great thing. *sighs* They are such a great couple.

16 doujinshi. All Hikaru uke (Except the first). Most Akihika, but other seme pairings with Hikaru I own are Kishimoto, Mitani, Waya, and Kaga. I don't like Kaga x Hikaru, but the doujinshi I own with him in it had Mitani x Hikaru and Kishimoto x Hikaru, so I decided
to get it anyway. I've realized that Hikaru is my favorite uke of all time. I like him with the most different semes. Other semes for Hikaru I want: Yashiro and Isumi. Possibly that Korean boy he beat a long time ago... forgot his name. I dunno know. Hikaru can almost be with
any of his friends/rivals and it's great. Akira's my favorite one, but that might change. I haven't really read many doujinshi with other semes, so who knows.

11 doujinshi. Three are anthologies. Three are Irumi x Kirua (Irukiru); three are Kuroro/Dancho x Kurapika; one with Kirua x Gon; and one that doesn't really have a pairing, but it's about Kirua, Irumi, and Gon, I think (I own it, but I haven't received it yet). I'd like to get Danchou
x Gon (I once bid on a doujinshi with this pairing, which gave me the idea, but I lost the bidding war), Kurapika x Gon (I'm bidding on one right now), maybe Dancho/Kuroro x Kirua, and maybe Dancho/Kuroro x Feitan. Oh, well, maybe Irumi x Gon, if I can find such an odd pairing. My favorite pairing
for this anime/manga... Um... I thought it was Kirua x Gon, but I think it's Dancho x Kurapika. Or Irumi x Kirua. I read a Danchou x Kurapika one by Ice Age the other day... Blew me away. I was like, "this coupling is hot!" It was fabulous. I now love that circle. Shiny Drop is a good circle for Irumi x Kirua.

11 doujinshi. Most are Akabane x Ginji. One is Teshimine x Ginji; another is Kazuki x Ginji. Also one of the Akabane x Ginji doujinshi includes is also Kazuki x Ginji. I want more Kazuki x Ginji. Regardless of how much of a woman Kazuki looks like, I like him as a seme. Probably because he's on my list for the favorite
bishounen. I might also be interested in Ginji/Raitei x Kazuki. Maybe. I don't really like Kazuki as an uke. I can't get enough Akabane and Ginji. It's in my top three favorite yaoi couples. Five? Six? Uh, I bought a set and I'm not sure how many is in it. The set of five or six (or four) is all Fuji x Ryouma. The other one is Fuji x Kikumaru. Fuji may be my all time favorite seme. Then again, Danchou... Well, I'm interested in maybe Fuji x Mizuki and Fuji x Yuuta. They exist, but I haven't bought any yet. My favorite
pairing here so far is Fuji x Kikumaru. But I haven't read any Fuji x Ryouma or the others yet, so that may change...
Gensoumaden Saiyuki
2 doujinshi. Saiyuki is my favorite anime, but I liked it before I was interested in yaoi. Going back to anime/mangas you did not see yaoi in and trying to conceive the characters to be gay doesn't work. I have to have seen yaoi from the beginning to like these pairings. I hate Sanzou as an uke more than anything. I don't believe my favorite
character is gay, but if he was he would not be an uke! My God, no. Sanzou would definitely shoot someone for trying to take the initiative on him. Anyway, both are stories about Koumyou and Sanzou. That's what I like because their relationship is sweet. Nothing sexual. Just an endearing story about a father and son. I want more Saiyuki doujinshi like this.
I might eventually buy some gag ones if they're not like yaoi gag. Even that I can't tolerate.

Muraki x Tsuzuki (Yami no Matsuei). Why I don't own this couple yet is beyond me. I'm distracted by Akihika.
Kanone x Ayumu (Sprial). That last episode of Sprial made me think of it. God, it would be really hot, but I'm not sure if this coupling exists or if much Sprial doujinshi even exists.... Probably does, just not so much on the auctions.
Raphael x Mikael (Tenshi ni Narumon). Kinda rare too, but I've seen it on Ebay and Japanese Auctions a couple of times.
Kenshin x Kaoru (Rurouni Kenshin). One of the non-yaoi couples I like. Kenshin is hotter when he's not acting gay. Hehe.
Shaoran x Sakura (Cardcaptor Sakura)
Emishi x Kaoru (Rurouni Kenshin). I dunno. Seems kinda interesting in a twisted way.
Dilandau x Hitomi (Escaflowne). I write about this couple, but I've only seen Dilandau in a yaoi setting. Which isn't surprising--he's damn fruity, but still. He'd be better if he were straight (and not really a girl, hehe).

Raito x L (Death note [manga]) Just haven't gotten around to them yet. However, L's so ugly I have problems with him being with someone so sexy as Raito...

Gunter x Yuuri (Kyou Kara Maou) Maybe. The age difference is disturbing, but I just love how Gunter throws himself at Yuuri all the time.
Murata x Yuuri (Kyou Kara Maou) Please! I just wait for the day Murata will make a move on Yuuri. He has the best opportunity both because he is like Yuuri's best friend and also because he's in a position as high as Maou no one will easily interfere with him. Someone needs to make a doujinshi of them, damnit!
