Summer camp

Summer camp was for the inbounds, outbounds, ROTEX and rotarians to get to know each other. It was held at lake Kamanoge(correct me if this is wrong). I shared my room with Gabby, VV, Rie, Urara and Aki. This is my story ^__^

Saturday 25th of August
The clock wakes me up at 6am... whats going on... im so used to sleeping late already that this seems somewhat unfair. i forcingly pull myself out of bed and head to the shower.. but even that dosent clear my head up... i just want to sleep... Some last minute packing and a quick breakfast and we're off with my dad. I even sleep while standing on the train, so tired i am. Last night i spend most evening packing too so i got to bed quite late. Once we reach Shinjuku almost everyone is already there... lucky me Im the last one to arrive again and everyones waiting for me. Well what can you do. Its 7.50am. We drag our tired bodies, heavy bags and fat butts up many stairs and along Shinjuku streets to reach our bus. Everyone pours inside and takes their seats. I took a seat in the middle of the bus with Gabby, it is now 8.10am. Once everyone is inside we are ready to leave. Im afraid to close my eyes becouse i know what is about to come, and of course no later had we got the bus out of tokyo when we already had to grab a microphone and introduce ourselves. Once the microphone had gone all over everyone I was happy to close my eyes and fall into a blissful glaze. I woke up quite appropriately when the bus was backing up into the yard of the youth center we were staying at. We dragged our bags and other possessions into the lobby and formed a pairline. Ah the welcoming speeches, for some reason I'm already kind of fed up about speeches. Might have something to do with not understanding half of what they say. We then streamed into our rooms and settled down. Well all we had time for was to leave our bags in there. Four bunk beds... its crazy how the japanese can fit all that into such a small room. I was seriously wondering when i got to sleep on this camp... apparently never. We headed into the dining room soon after to set out the tables. Well at least some proper western food, spaghetti, thank goodness. It was now about 12.30. After we had eaten and cleared up the tables there was just enough time to grab your notebook before heading to orientation. Ah what bliss... listning to instructions about climbing Mt Fuji... When this ended we had another orientation and after that we enjoyed a coffee break. After this we had yet another orientation and then played some games. Some people might think its fun to try and remember the names of over 50 people... but I agree with those of you who think it ain't. We also got to chase funnily dressed rotarians around the youth training center in groups... my group was the only one who didnt get any points... so basically we're the ultimate winners, we're so cool. After this we had a few minutes to calm our breath and get ready for dinner. We atarted dinner around 6pm. One hour after this we had another orientation, this time it was inbounds and outbounds seperately. The inbounds got to enjoy some american, indian, brazilian and mexican (XD) dance and hear music from many countries. After this it was nice free time and bath time... on which me and Gabby held a small photoshoot. After shower i really felt like going to bed.. but some people didnt... so they couldnt shut up... lukily they were outside though... lucky for them. But i got to sleep around 11pm. Here is a picture of the inmates in my room. Urara is missing becouse she took the photo.

Sunday 26th of August
Ah what in the hell... its 3am and the clock is ringing... of yeah i forgot.. today we climb Mt Fuji. I dont really want to speak about this... lets just say we started climbing at 5am... I made it to the 9th station (the last station before the top). I was down at about 2pm. We had a small group that got to the youth center early. We had a shower and went to play some badmington and ping pong. Everyone else arrived around 7pm. They had a shower and the we had a BBQ party. Everyone ate alot ^^" and hey we got little Mt fuji pins to remind us of the climbing... i never really wanna remember it again. After the BBQ party we had a disco and went to bed at around 11pm. My lights went straight out.
Now proof... LOOK I REALLY DID CLIMB THAT HIGH ( i know i look stunning... but so would you)

Monday 27th of August
This is what i was waiting for... the clock rings at 7am yei i got to sleep after climbing that freaking mountain. We had breakfast around 7.30 and then it was time for breakfast. After we packed and cleaned the room. Then it was time to leave the youth center and in our bus head to one of Japans many themeparks, Fujikyu Highlands. This was so much more my place. We arrived at round 9.30am and our meet up time was at 3pm. We got to ride three rides witht the tickets rotary gave us. At first we headed to a water ride, where we got all nice and wet <3 It was a hot day. Next we separated from our five person group that we had been divided into with Daniel and headed to Japans biggest and fastest rollercoaster by ourselves. Whoo 2km of track and top speed of 130km/h. It was some ride. We also went on a ride called PiZZa whoch span around while going from side to side. At 3pm it was time to head home again... and yet again on the bus we had to have a small speech arigatou arigatou, you know. At 5pm we were at Shinjuku station again and said bye bye to everyone.

This was my trip, please visite my gallery for pics.
