Life in the West
Raising children in the West is not easy
Though
the uninformed think it should be breezy
Parents
and children have to make many choices
From
different quarters they hear different voices
Parents
are overworked, children are overscheduled
Mothers
specially need to stay home with the caboodle
Ask
a young one how dreary it is to come to an empty home
Many
a mischief are cooked up under their hairy dome
Parents
need to learn to sacrifice for their children’s sake
Do
away with big screen TVs and cars of the finest make
Wives
and mothers have bigger investments in marriage and kids
Fathers
are too busy making a living, can’t always be in their midst
Our
Maola taught us to be good momins destined for Jannat
What
parent wouldn’t like to see their children reap the same barakat
Give
your kids the best preparationn you can to succeed in this world
But
also take them to deeni madrasa to learn about the other world
Cooperate
and listen to deeni madrasa volunteer teachers
Don’t
argue or belittle them, instead cheer them from the bleachers
Deeni
taalim and madrasa doesn’t stop after misaq is done
Then
attend sabaqs of local Aamil for your knowledge to broaden
Maola
Ali said,”learning process continues from mother’s lap to the grave”
No
shame in learning at any age if it is the knowledge that you crave
Acquiring
great knowledge and superior capabilities is of no value
Unless
you add to them honor, truth, integrity and virtue
Wives
and mothers are like the long pole in our tent
They
starch our spines and provide fragrance and scent
Learn
to treat them respectfully and honorably
By
not doing that, many an Einsteins died miserably
You
must take Maola Burhanuddin’s teachings right from the start
May he live healthy and long ta qiyamat, this comes from my heart
