C-9 Light Machine Gun

The C-9 is gas operated, air cooled and belt or magazine fed. It has
special optics and is an adaptation of the U.S. M249 Squad Automatic Weapon.
It was developed in the early 60's and production began in 1982. It can
be equiped with a bipod. The C9 is is used to provide cover fire during
offensive operations and to cover the most likely enemy approach to a defensive
location.
