I hiked it with this boy on his weekly journey to school, three hours, at least a couple thousand feet vertical gain and I had trouble keeping up. Regrettably  his mother died last year and his sister was sent to an orphanage in Leh.

These guys are good monks.  The one on the left ishead chef. He needs batteries for his radio.
