Most danger, however, was from rock fall.

The big glacier begins.

This is all glacier on the bottom. We still haven't reached the fresh white snow. 

It's probably 4,000 meters or 12,000 feet.

We reach the snow and tie up.

And here is the famous snow lake. We had great weather but it was hot in

the afternoons.

Here we are at the pass. It's about 15,000 feet and everybody feels fine.
