| Village of Hope is a Christian ministry
conceived to reach the lost and the hungry. VOH is located
in Marechal, in about 3 miles from the Christianville Foundation Inc. field,
in the district of Gressier, Haiti. VOH has dual mission, which is consists: (1) to seek the lost soul for Christ. (2) to improve the life condition of the people in our community spiritually and socially. To respond properly to the primary needs of people, the mission has already involved in an educational program with a school of 160 children, a church of 25 members and several spiritual and social activities in the community. VOH evangelism Program The voodoism is predominant factor in our community, about 2/3 of the people involved in the practice of voodoo and witchcraft. Our evangelism plan targets everyone in the community, with heavy emphasis on our young people. Economic factor: today’s economical situation of Haiti have an inevitable effect the young people of our community and the practice of voodoo is viewed as a way to make money. Education: there are a great number of young kids involved in voodoo are uneducated. Many of them have been encouraged or followed their parents. |
