The Tesseract
A look into 4-dimensional space
The tesseract is a 4-dimensional cube. Click and drag your pointing
device on the wireframe model below to rotate it in 4-dimensional
space. You will see it projected into 2-dimensional space, but you
can see the tesseract from all directions in 4-dimensional space.
Left click and drag to rotate in the x-z and y-z planes. Right click
and drag to rotate in the x-h and y-h planes. I call the 4 axes
x, y, z, and h (h for hyper-space). If you only have one button on your
pointing device, hold the shift key down and click and drag to rotate
in the x-h and y-h planes.
You don't need to be able to rotate in the z-h plane because there would
be no effect in the viewed x-y plane. You don't normally need to rotate in
the x-y plane either, but I allow it. Hold the control key down and click
and drag to rotate in the x-y planes.
Mac users may need to use the Command (Apple) key.
