With prana reverted, elixir will be
borne by itself, as Kan [i.e. water] and Li
[i.e. fire] concocted in the pot. |
|
If the
practitioner does not lost the nature of his mind in dusty things,
then prana will revert by itself, and will see the two prana
ascending and descending in the middle house, and Yin and
Yang concoct in the field of
elixir. Suddenly one feel a wisp of hot prana surging
from within the kidneys up to the heart viscera. Emotion return to
the source of the mind, like the mating of husband and wive,
infatuated as if drunk. The two prana mist, and bear the matter of
the elixir. And in the den of prana, fire and water intersects
recurringly. Then spirit drives prana, and prana stays to take
shape. No need for extra magical formula, one can long live. The
knack says, "Block the three treasures of the ear, eyes and
mouth, do not open up. The real man dives in the abyss, floating and
swimming, keeping to the centre of the circle, until prana is full
in the field of elixir, and give birth to Daogui". |

Yin and
Yang generated repeatedly by each
other, until generalized into a clap of
thunder. |
|
Practice up to here, the spirit does
not gallop outward, and prana does not leak out. The spirit returns
to the den of prana, with
the hexagram Kan [i.e. water] and Li [i.e.
fire] already concocted - more and more violently and advanced.
Effect to blank the mind perseveringly, keep to silence absorbedly.
The body in silence amid far-reaching darkness, and mind crystal
clear in the place of no being. Then real prana will reside by
itself, and hundred veins of prana will stop by itself. The sun and
moon stop changing phase, and the stars stop revolving. The Tai Chi
generates dynamism from pure silence, pure Yang is
produced from Kun in southwest. In our body, the hexagram
Kun represents the abdomen, also represents the intestines
which is also called the winding river. Suddenly a spot of light of
the soul is seen within, big as a millet grain. This is the drugs of
the elixir generating tidings. Illustriously red light penetrates,
with the two kidneys as if boiled or fried, and the urinary bladder
as if roasted. Inside the abdomen sounds as if raging wind is
roaring and thunders shaking. This is the heavenly root
emerging, namely the hexagram Fu. When heavenly root emerges,
then secure mind-king. Assist it
with the spirit, then its prana will be like fire approaching metal,
and will move upwards through the aperture at the coccyx. Convey
lightly, and lift silently. Like the hexagram Shaking of Thunder (Zhen), a ball
of prana harmoniously rise up to the aperture on top of the
head. Then the body is vibrant all over, which is the hexagram
"Heaven-Wind Meet"
(Gou). From the
lunar cave [i.e. cave of the mind], then to in between the
eyebrows, and leaks out primordial light, this is the Tai Chi moves
to generate Yin. And
manifest into the sweet dew of the water of the spirit, with the
millet pearl
inside. Descend into the middle of the yellow court, spot the
spiritual mercury inside Li [i.e. fire], and give birth to
the body of holy appearance. Go through one cycle of degree of
heating, cook it and refine it, then the elixir will be borne by
itself. |

White clouds pilgrim to above our head, and
sprinkle sweet dew on Meru [i.e. on top of our
head]. |
|
Up to this
status, the drugs for the elixir are already gained. The two prana
bear the Daogui, and gates and apertures
open unimpeded. Fire descends and water rises, one prana flow
all over. From amid the Tai Chi, the heavenly root is stirred.
Passing through the gate of stream of hsuan, rise up the bones and
joints of the twenty four vertebrae, to the gate of heavenly
stream. From the lunar cave [i.e. the cave of the mind], Yin is
generated, deliciously sweet and fragrant. Descending the
multi-storey mansion [i.e. the throat], restlessly and ceaselessly,
named as sprinkle sweet dew on Meru. The knack
says, "With sweet dew full month, send it with the eyes, and
receive it with intention. Send it down into the field of
elixir, congeal primordial
prana to nourish
it." |
