You may be entitled to receive an "incentive commission" by introducing me a successful client

Qualified person

Holder of recognised professional accounting qualification (i.e. HKICPA's member)

[Important. If the company which you refer at all material times you are in capacity of an employee, in order to avoid confilct of interest, the company/employer must be informed in writing in respect of your entitlement of incentive commission.]

Basis of incentive commission

The incentive commission is based on the following percentage of the professional fee (i.e. accounting, auditing, taxation...etc) actually received by me in each year:

- first year (20%)

- Second year (10%)

- Third year (5%)

Illustrative examples

Mr Chan is a professional accountant. In 2004, he introduced me a client, ABC Ltd, which appointed myself to become its auditor and tax representative since then. During the period from 2004 to 2007, I had received the professional fee as follows:

HK$10,000 (2004)

HK$11,000 (2005)

HK$11,000 (2006)

HK$11,500 (2007)

The incentive commission to which Mr Chan is entitled is calculated as follows:

HK$2,000 (2004) [HK$10,000 x 20%]

HK$1,100 (2005) [HK$11,000 x 10%]

HK$550 (2006) [HK$11,000 x 5%]

Nil [maximum: 3 years]

Same fact as above but I was unable to receive the professional fee from ABC Ltd. since 2006 due to its insolvency:

The incentive commission to which Mr Chan is entitled is calculated as follows:

HK$2,000 (2004) [HK$10,000 x 20%]

HK$1,100 (2005) [HK$11,000 x 10%]

Nil (2006) [based on actual receipt basis]

Nil [maximum: 3 years]
