                 A.1960s Industries development:

     Clothing, electronics (including watch and clock, toys) and plastic industries that three kinds of industries have good development in 1960s. To constitute 1960s industries caused by:

   (1)  Textile started to face a good competition, including the Philippines, Thailand, etc. Those countries produced cost price all cheaper than Hong Kong. Therefore, merchants needed the textile made by Hong Kong less and less.

   (2)That time, some western countries knew that they must protect their countries textile industries, for example the America. They carried out some policies on Hong Kong¡¦s textile product. Those policies made Hong Kong export the textile dropped sharply.

   (3)Clothing, plastics and electronic industries were not the heavy industries, they needed product ingredients, and electricity and land were very imperfection so most of the industrialists changed to do some new industries those period.   

   (4)1960s, some strong and new industrial city (including China, Thailand, the Philippines) That countries living conditions, land ,transport and labour prices were lower than Hong Kong so that countries developed industry can enjoy the lowest cost price. Therefore, a part from industrialists started developed textile industries in those countries. Their textile and Hong Kong¡¦s textile have a competition
