Shan Cai gets a “you’ll be dead” ‘red note’ from the F4 in her locker. She thinks that she has hurt Ah Si so deeply that he decides to give her a ‘red note’. She feels her heart ache as she recalls the scene where Ah Si professes his love for her. Everyone surrounding her laughs at her predicament as no one has ever gotten 2 red notes from the F4 and survived them. Immediately, some people start crowding towards her, ready to bully her. Shan Cai runs. Qing He runs into the mob and helps Shan Cai to hide. He asks her if Ah Si is angry with her because of the magazine. Shan Cai is shocked that even Qing He knows about the magazine photos. He reveals to her that Qian Hui and Bai He gave almost everyone in school a copy of the magazine. He also asks if she likes Xiao Shun but she declares that there is nothing except friendship between them. Their conversation is cut short when they hear the chattering of the people looking for Shan Cai. Qing He decides to lure them away so that Shan Cai can escape. 

Shan Cai runs to the lobby. 2 men surround her and another grabs her from behind and cups her mouth. She loses consciousness.  

Qing He is unable to find Shan Cai at the lobby. 

The rest of the F4 try to find Ah Si at his house but he has not been home for a few days. Xi Men receive a call from Qing He who asks him about Shan Cai receiving a ‘red note’. However, Xi Men knows nothing about it and they concluded that it must have been Ah Si who gave it without discussing with them. They returned to school to look for Ah Si. 

A worried Qing He tries to look for Shan Cai at the cake shop. Xiao You tells him that Shan Cai did not report for work, and has not applied for leave. Qing He tells Xiao You about the ‘red note’ and says that he cannot find Shan Cai anywhere, not even at her house. Xiao You is extremely worried. Qing He assures her that he will find her and admits that he likes Shan Cai. However, he will only secretly admire Shan Cai as he does not want to force her to make a decision. Xiao You is touched.  

In the meantime, Shan Cai is tied up in an old warehouse. When she regains her consciousness, one of the kidnappers takes a picture of her and sends someone to deliver the picture to Ah Si. A man walks into the warehouse and Shan Cai is taken aback to see that it is Xiao Shun. 

The rest of the F4 still cannot find Ah Si in school and cannot get through his hand phone. Mei Zuo is worried that Ah Si is out of control this time and is concerned about Shan Cai’s safety. Xi Men also receives news from Qing He that Shan Cai is nowhere to be found. Lei thinks that things are not as simple as they seem. He does not think that Ah Si has sent the ‘red note’ to Shan Cai and whoever did it must have terrible motives. 

They finally find Ah Si eating barbequed food alone. He tells them that for the past few days, he had been at the beach relaxing. They realize that the ‘red note’ is not from Ah Si. 

In the warehouse, Shan Cai questions Xiao Shun’s motives for kidnapping her. He apologizes for using her friendship to attain his other goals. Apparently, he had planned for a man to give Shan Cai the name card, luring her to go for the photo shoot. Thus, he has a chance to save her then and get to know her. He even planned for them to be on the magazine with the lewd article and was the one who gave her the ‘red note’. He did all these in order to seek revenge on Ah Si. When Ah Si beat him up a few days ago, he had realized that Ah Si cares a lot for Shan Cai and hence decided that using her as bait is the best bet. He tells Shan Cai the reason for taking revenge… … 

Xiao Shun grew up in the orphanage because he was an illegitimate child and neither of his parents wanted to take care of him. He had wanted to commit suicide because he felt that his life had been a mistake from the beginning. Just as he was about to drown himself, a man saved him. Not only did the man save his life, he also talked Xiao Shun into leading a proper life. Xiao Shun is extremely grateful to him. However that friend offended Ah Si when he was in school and was beaten up very badly. From then, Xiao Shun swears that he will help his saviour take revenge. Ah Si has bullied all the other kidnappers once and thus they gather together to take revenge on their common enemy.  

Shan Cai realizes that he is using her to lure Ah Si to the warehouse and scolds Xiao Shun despicable. He ignores her and tells her that he will not let Ah Si go easily. 

Ah Si receives the picture of Shan Cai being tied up. He receives a call from Xiao Shun. Xiao Shun forces Shan Cai to speak into the phone. Shan Cai tells Ah Si not to come for her. Xiao Shun warns Ah Si not to call the police or he will never see Shan Cai again. He also tells Ah Si to go to the warehouse alone. With that, he hangs up. Ah Si leaves immediately and refuses to tell the rest anything. 

Shan Cai realizes that everything was a fraud. She hates herself for saying all the mean things to Ah Si. She thinks that Xiao Shun must be laughing at her for being so gullible. However, Xiao Shun only pities her for being so close to Ah Si. Shan Cai expresses her disgust with Xiao Shun.  

The other kidnappers come in and reveals to Shan Cai that they were beaten up by Ah Si in a pub before. Shan Cai tells them off for using such an underhanded method to get back at Ah Si. She mocks them for not being able to win Ah Si otherwise. She reveals that she is not Ah Si’s girlfriend and thus he will not come and save her. Thus, they can be prepared to stay there and wait for nothing. 

However, Ah Si appears. Xiao Shun’s way of settling everything is for Ah Si to stand and not move. He and his fellow kidnappers will do the rest of the work. He threatens to hurt Shan Cai if Ah Si retaliates. Shan Cai scolds Ah Si for coming to the warehouse. Ah Si, however, tells her to shut her eyes. All the men start hitting Ah Si with bats. He does not retaliate. Shan Cai is shocked that Ah Si, someone who has never been beaten up before, does not retaliate because of her.  

They beat up Ah Si until he is bleeding profusely. However, Ah Si stands up, and mocks them for not beating him up hard enough. Angered, they continue beating him up. And yet, Ah Si is still able to stand up although he is clearly heavily injured. Furious, Xiao Shun takes a chair and is about to smash it on him when Shan Cai rushes forward and take the hit for him. The chair is smashed into pieces on Shan Cai. Xiao Shun is shocked. The rest of the men almost beat up Shan Cai too but Xiao Shun stops them and makes everyone leave. 

In tears, Shan Cai asks Ah Si why he didn’t retaliate. However, Ah Si tells her that it would have been easy for him to beat all of them up but he just wants to protect her. If he retaliated, he would have lost and not be able to save her. He loses consciousness. 

In the hospital, Shan Cai has a dream of Ah Si jumping off the building. She wakes up to find her mother beside her. Somebody had found them in the warehouse and carried Ah Si and her into the hospital. Shan Cai rushes off to look for Ah Si.  

Shan Cai sees Lei outside Ah Si’s ward and asks him about Ah Si’s condition. However, Lei says nothing. Worrying for the worst, Shan Cai asks if Ah Si is still alive. Lei starts tearing, and says nothing. She enters the ward and Mei Zuo and Xi Men are quiet and has a devastated look. Ah Si is covered with the blanket and Mei Zuo reveals that Ah Si has passed away. In tears, Xi Men tells Shan Cai that even till his last breath, Ah Si keeps calling out for Shan Cai. 

A sorrowful Shan Cai kneels by the bed and breaks down. She keeps saying she doesn’t want Ah Si to die. Suddenly, Ah Si wakes up and scolds her for being so noisy. Mei Zuo, Xi Men and Lei burst into laughter. Shan Cai realizes that she has been duped (again!).  

The 3 of them leave Shan Cai and Ah Si alone. Before they leave, Ah Si passes a list of names to Lei. On it, Ah Si has written out the number of times each person had hit him. However, he tells Lei that he will deal with Xiao Shun alone. 

In Ah Si’s ward, Shan Cai keeps quiet. Ah Si asks why she is so quiet and why can’t she attempt to console him. However, Shan Cai starts crying again and tells him that she dreamt that he died. She had thought that he would not appear at the warehouse since she told him not to come. Yet he appeared and was beaten up so badly by the scoundrels. Thus when the F4 ganged up to make her believe that he died, she really thought so. Ah Si apologizes for playing a trick on her. He also reminds her that he will chase her all the way even to hell. 

As they are playfully arguing with each other, Xiao Shun appears. He tells Ah Si that he is not there to apologize since he doesn’t feel that he has done anything wrong. He reminds Ah Si about his saviour. He does not mind being seen as a despicable person as long as he has taken his revenge. However, he is there to apologize to Shan Cai for having lied to her. Shan Cai does not forgive him and asks him to leave. He wished that they could have been friends under a much better and different circumstance and feels really sorry. After saying everything, Xiao Shun leaves. Shan Cai knows that what Xiao Shun did was unforgivable and understands his reasons for doing so. At the moment, she is unable to overlook everything but hopes that in future, time will heal all wounds. On the other hand, Ah Si had actually planned to beat up Xiao Shun, but does not feel as angry as before anymore, and decides to let everything go. 

Ah Si has almost recovered. Mei Zuo shows him a picture of the kidnappers injured and begging for forgiveness. Xi Men tells Shan Cai that it is really a wonder for Ah Si to be beaten up willingly, thus showing Shan Cai’s importance. Shan Cai attempts to change the subject and turns to leave. However, Mei Zuo stops her and tells her not to keep avoiding the subject. Xi Men asks her to seriously consider Ah Si as they are all anxious to see their relationship bloom. Lei reminds her that if she is in any danger, Ah Si will definitely go all out to protect her. Not knowing what to say, Shan Cai says that Ah Si reminds her of a puppy and runs away. 

At home, Shan Cai is debating with herself. While she knows that Ah Si can be very violent, he did, after all, saved her and was beaten up badly. At that time, she had been very touched. However, him saving her life and she liking him is totally two different things. It does not mean that she must like him back because he saved her. 

At the mansion, the other F4 teases Ah Si about being called a puppy. Mei Zuo tries to convince him that Shan Cai is probably trying to mean that Ah Si is as cute as a puppy. However, he is not convinced and is upset that she said that. Not wanting to talk about it, Ah Si goes to bed. After that, Xi Men tells Lei that the French person who wanted to marry Jing has disappeared and asks what Lei is going to do next. Lei decides to leave it up to fate.

In school, Qian Hui and Bai He receive news on the fake ‘red note’. They are happy thinking that there are more people out there who hate Shan Cai. Qing He scolds them for talking behind Shan Cai’s back. 

Meanwhile, Lei decides to have a talk with Shan Cai. She is relieved to know that Ah Si is well and has been discharged from the hospital. Lei tells her that it’s the first time they all see Ah Si so deeply in love. Ah Si suddenly appears. Lei excuses himself. Ah Si tells Shan Cai that his birthday is coming and that she must get him a present. Shan Cai says that she has no money to buy him a present. However, Ah Si insists that she must go to the birthday party even if she comes empty-handed. He will also be introducing her to his mother, who will return from New York to attend the party. 

At the cake shop, Shan Cai tells Xiao You how Ah Si had been beaten up because of her. She is unsure of how she feels for Ah Si especially since Ah Si has always been so demanding. She feels pressurized to be with him. She is also troubled about being introduced to Ah Si’s mother and what present to give him. Xiao You suggests baking cookies for him. Shan Cai decides to make cookies shaped like Ah Si’s face. 

On Ah Si’s birthday, the rest of the F4 decide to pick Shan Cai up and is shocked to see her simply dressed. They drag her to Ah Si’s house, hoping to find a dress from Dao Ming Zhuang’s wardrobe. 

At the mansion, they are relieved to find a wide selection of dresses from Zhuang’s wardrobe. Mei Zuo is worried that Zhuang will be upset if she finds out that they have taken her dresses without asking. However, Lei assures them that Zhuang likes Shan Cai and thus will not mind. Shan Cai cannot understand what the fuss is all about. However Lei and the rest tell her that Ah Si’s mother (acted by Zhen Xiu Zhen) is a very demanding person and is extremely difficult to get along with. Since Shan Cai is meeting her for the first time, she must be very well dressed. Since Ah Si had invited Shan Cai, Ah Si’s mother, Dao Ming Feng (Feng) will be extra fussy and picky when she sees her. They reveal to Shan Cai that all of them will have an arranged marriage, including Ah Si. In future, they will not be able to marry the girl that they like and thus, for Ah Si’s sake, they must dress Shan Cai up to look like a wealthy girl. Mei Zuo tells her that Feng looks down on them (Lei, Mei Zuo and Xi Men). If she knew that Shan Cai is not wealthy, she is bound to forbid Ah Si from seeing Shan Cai. Thus, it is essential that Feng does not find out that Shan Cai is poor. Hearing what they said about Feng, Shan Cai is dreading meeting her. 

At the party, Shan Cai sees that Ah Si has received many expensive presents from everyone. She hides her cookies as she is embarrassed to present him such a cheap gift. She tells Ah Si that she did not bring any present. He is upset but shrugs it off. He drags her to go meet his mother but Shan Cai refuses. As she keep resisting, she trips, bumps into a waiter and topples a stack of plates. The noise catches the attention of Feng. The F4 hurries towards her, worried. 

Feng approaches them. Mei Zuo tries to introduce Shan Cai but Feng shuts him up. Overcome with fear, Shan Cai starts stammering. Feng tells Ah Si to send Shan Cai away. However, Ah Si tells Feng that Shan Cai is somebody very important to him. Shan Cai is appalled at his reply and wishes that he had considered her position before saying that. Xi Men tries to help Shan Cai by saying that Shan Cai is their schoolmate and a good friend of theirs. Feng shuts them up once again. She asks Shan Cai for her father’s occupation. Unable to say anything, Lei lies that Shan Cai’s father is a CEO. Feng grabs Shan Cai and makes her play the piano for them. Xi Men tries to come up with something. But Feng’s intense glare shuts him up.
