Vivi Ornitier Age: 9 - Male - Son of a Black Mage The most intriguining
of FFIX's main characters is a budding sorcerer, and his jawa-ish appearance
marks a throwback to the Mysidian mages of earliest NES Final Fantasy games.
Given his age, though, it's clear that he's going to start the game with little
magical power beyond the simple fire-lighting spells if apprentices.
Adelbert Steiner Age: 33 - Male - Knight of Royal Family of
Alexandria TAn experienced knight and veteran fighter, Steiner is adept in
the use of weapons and armour. Loyalty is Steiner's major traitm and he would
think nothing of daying in the pretection of the Royal Family. For this reason,
he has been handpicked to serve as personal escort and bodyguard to Princess
Garnet.
Garnet
Til Alexandros The 17 Th Age: Teenager - Female - Princess Garnet til Alexandros
is a princess of the royal House of Alexandria. Garnet outlook on life has been
moulded by her untroubled lifestyle: her morals and values are not those of
ordinary folk and in mau people's eyes she seems self-centred. Although her
position also carries its own unique responsibilities. She enjoy protection
of Steiner, her bodyguard.
Zidane
Tribal Age: 16 - Male - Thief The main character of FFIX game. Zidane is a member
of gang of bandits with design on the castle of Alexandria. Zidane has a weakness
for the ladies but otherwise tends to lead a carefree exsistance, untroubled
by responsibility and with little respect for authority.
Eiko Carol Age: 6 - Female - Mage At a mere six years old, Eiko
is a child prodigy. She is incredibly intelligent for her years, but her intellect
often works against her by shocking her elders and making her peers fearful
of her. Eiko's pommelled staff would confirm that her unique powers reside in
magic rather than fighting. The school of magic she practises is not known:
it could be that Eiko is an exponent of the white magic, in opposition to Vivi,
but another possibility is that she's a Caller in the style of FFIV's Rydia.
Quina Quen Age: Unknown - Male - Lardball Quina is the most
mysterious character of the bunch, and not least for the bunch, and not least
for his monstrously comic apperance. Quina is both chef and gourmand, a connoisseur
of fine foods whose appetite is said to be insatiable. Initially, Quina seems
to care for nothing but good eating and sees little beyond the end of his fork.
Little else is known about this curiosity, or why he sould fall in with a a\bunch
of adventuresm but we could be looking at FFIX's answer to Cait Sith..
Freija
Cresent Age: Unknown - Female - Dragoon Despite the odd features - rat's
tail, grey fur, bat-like ears - Freija is said to be a valiant warrior who
possesses both grace and strength. She's also able to tune into the very
ebb and few unpleasant skeletons in her closet, and the problem of her past
seem to weigh heavily on her.
Salamander Coral Age: Unknown - Male - Strongman A hard-boiled
tough guy and something of a lone wolf, Salamander places his faith firmly
in his own strength and will power. He believes that strength is his key
to success amd devotes himself to his training accordingly. Salamander
doen't carry a weapon, which suggests that he's a martial artist.
