Disappointing Microsoft Internet Explorer

I was told the other day that MSIE for Windows didn't have native .png and .tiff support. I wasn't a webmaster at that moment so I wasn't aware of that until lately...
Guys, use Mozilla and get rid of MSIE!

I wanted to put my scanner up in eBay.co.uk last week and I was struggling with creating a good quality .gif file. Suddenly realise that .gif can only support up to 256 colours. Ended up with some crappy pictures (cause I want to put 8 pictures but eBay doesn't let you, even you are using your own web storage).
Then I started off creating this blog using some .png files. Looks horrible in PCs with IE because it doesn't support transplant (alpha transparency) .png which is ridiculous.
See this and you will find out Microsoft actually promised to put build-in .png support in IE for more than 4 years ago.
The situation reminds me of the 60's USSR.
USSR (Microsoft) had all the 'advanced' technologies (IE 6.0, WinXP with Blue screen etc.) to fly to the Moon but fail to supply enough fridges (as trivial as native .png and .tiff support) to its citizen (Microsoft users).
