iBook back from injury
AppleCare is the best after sale service I have
even had.
A broken 30GB HD came back with a
60GB 7,200 rpm HD slotted in nice and easy in my iBook G4 800, what else do you
expect?
Got my iBook for merely 3 months but the HD
appeared to be dead.Contacted AppleCare UK
(notice that I got my iBook in HK but I live in the UK)for technical support,
they dealt with it with pace and the people whom I talked to were professional
and polite. most important of all, they arranged a UPS pick-up within 3 business
days and got my HD replaced within the same day upon the arrival of the
computer. (UPS took one day to simply deliver the computer to AppleCare, which
is considered as 'slow' in this case) It
took UPS ANOTHER DAY to send the computer back to me... re-installed Panther,
and found that the HD is replaced as a 60GB hitachi one from a 30GB!! Big
surprise and obviously very happy. and I think the HD is faster than the
shipped-in 30GB one... or it's just that i have gone into escasty?
However, they somehow managed to put a bit
of scratch on my iBook hoping that I can fix it out with some Brasso.
9.5/10 for AppleCare service!
Sorted out the repair within a week is more
less like a mission impossible in the UK (u will understand if you've ever lived
in here)!! That's why I shifted to
Apple.
