Celtic knocked out UEFA Cup
14/4/2004 was a sad day for the Bhoys as their
adventure of UEFA Cup ended in tears.
A below-par performance of the Hoops have let us
down in the second leg of the UEFA Cup Quarter Final in Villareal,
Spain.
Without the injured Sutton and the suspended Thompson, Larsson found it hard to break down the defence of the Spaniard while the usually rock-solid defense looked shambolic at times.
Missed out the first goal conceded because I got the Kick-Off time wrong, but I somehow wasn't as passionate as the other times I watched the Hoops in action.
Both goals were mistakes by individual at the back. Not blaming one or two players, I personally thought the whole team did not preform well mentally.
Nevermind, SPL is coming, very soon.
