We
had a wonderful day today. We got to school an hour earlier than usual
this morning because we had lab time to sent email to surf the internet.
We have the lab time once a week.
We
went to Innovation Centre to listen to a talk. We had Lewis to introduce
aboriginal culture. He told us about the 2 aboriginal flags. He sang
us 5 songs. Then he taught us some aboriginal greetings. “Madda Mollie”
means “hello”, “Inunballa” means “how are you?” and “ay which way” means
“what are you doing?

Lewis
showed us the didgeridoo and explained the origin of it. He also played
a song using both guitar and the didgeridoo. That's fascinating! Lewis
also introduced weapons and tools used by the aborigines for hunting and
digging. Finally, everybody got a chance to throw a boomerang. That's
really fun. This is the first time for me to throw a boomerang. It felt
good. But it wasn't an easy job. A lot of us couldn't make it change direction
in the first throw. |

After
lunch, we had our English lesson right away. We had some worksheets to
do, and also had some activities. |
|
We
went to play bowling after school. We divided ourselves into groups of
5 or 6. We played for an hour and a half. Bowling was very hard too. The
bowling was very heavy and we couldn't keep it under our control at all.

We
went back to the university and were picked up by our homestay parents. |
