記者(記) : 請問你現時讀緊邊間學校同邊科 ?
Alexander(Alex) :香港城市大學,工商管理副學士

記 : 可否簡略講講你讀緊o既o野和同一科的正學士year1學生讀o既o野有什麼分別呢?
Alex : 無分別

記 : 再問 : 無分別? 真係O架? 係o米一齊上堂?
Alex : Even though I said there is not much differences, I did not mean that we can have lesson together with those degree 'honourable students' as we have different administrative structure & academic structure prohibit it from happening. In short, the degree students are studying under Faculty(ies)/Department(s) while we are studying under 'Division(s)'.(For the bracket 's' I mean both degree & sub-degree students have choices on the out-of-discipline[OOD] courses even there is less space/credit for sub-degree to choose than degree students.)
Besides, 'not much difference' can also mean there is not much difference between AD courses (always fundamental & can not be in depth as we only have 4 regular school terms of 13 weeks) & AL subjects as my classmate & I found out that the subjects we studied can be found (nearly the same or even of lesser difficulties) in Maths & Stat.(AS), Econonmics (AL), Business Studies (AL)[-comprises of nearly all business subjects as human resource management, marketing, finacial management-similar to accounting], Principles of Accountancy (CE Level only!).
That explain why I strongly object those who failed in HKAL/mere passes just use AD as a way to escape which resulted in high level of frustration if you found that you pay much higher (compare to secondary school) tuition fees & yet learn such similar or even useless stuff.

記 : 係o米好多副學士同學都走堂,且不交功課呢?
Alex : For 走堂, I think the situation is not as worse as you guess/think as I only observe it become very serious during the past weeks in April where the HKAL Exam taking place-as numerous of us took the HKAL again as I have mentioned-even me myself have taking the 2001 failed subject, geography. But you may notice that we usually don't take attendance for courses (I mean only tutorials while in lectures where there are over 100 students in our class, taking attendance is nearly impossible) which attendance only account a small proportion of marks (say 10%)or even we take attendance, it can not prohibit 走堂 if the classmate have better alternative like working a part-time job.
For handing homework, we are quite good on that if the coursework account a great proportion of the marks (say 25%-40%) while most of the time, we only need to do the presentations which almost no one will escape that.

記 : 請問約有多少人有GPA 3.0?(因為GPA達3分以上代表能夠符合升讀學士課程的申請資格。)
Alex : I really don't know how many get it (G.P.A.> or =3.0) but I guess there are less than you guess (may be 1/3) as I only know the situations of the classmates I am familiar with.
But in short, I am sure that even those get 3.0 can merely get a place in degree course as there are huge amount of students-I know in ABA major in Accountancy & General Management-getting 3.5 or over (more than that can be provided-several hundreds) & hence we all need to face fierce competition in capturing a degree place in year2 through this non-JUPAS way.I believe that the HKAL competion is easier than the 'black box' non-JUPAS way & please don't be cheated by the so-called "2+X" system which only a small amount of us can be benifited while the rest can only be kicked out or send to overseas colleges to get a "degree".

記 : 如果你今年見到不能夠升讀學士課程的學生 ,你會否提議他讀副學士嗎?
Alex : 同學都應重讀,因為重讀較慳$and time and more effient and open(黑幕重重 cause non-jupas)
