Shall I compare
thee to a summer's day?
William Shakespeare (1564-1616)
Shall I compare
thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this and this gives life to thee.
你卻比炎夏更可愛溫存;
金色臉容往往蒙上陰翳;
秀雅風姿將永遠翩翩;

Love is cruel, Love is sweet
Thomas MacDonagh
(1878-1916)
Love is cruel, love is sweet,-
Cruel sweet,
Lovers sigh till lovers meet,
Sigh and meet-
Sigh and meet, and sigh again-
Cruel sweet! O sweetest pain!
Love is blind- but love is sly,
Blind and sly-
Thoughts are bold, but words are shy-
Bold and shy-
Bold and shy, and bold again-
Sweet is boldness,-shyness pain.
勇敢又害怕, 過後又勇敢;
