The following is a list of the general entrance requirements for applicants seeking admission to the programmes of PolyU in September / October 2002, on the strength of their HKALE results. This simplified list is for information only. Applicants are advised to consult the institution's prospectus/admissions handbook for details of the general entrance requirements and programme requirements.

以下所列的入學規定適用於擬以香港高級程度會考成績於申請2002年9月 / 10月入讀理大課程的申請人，此簡介只供參考。申請人應查閱院校的課程簡介／入學手冊內 所詳列的入學規定及課程要求。
 
 

Bachelor's Degree Programmes

　
AL/AS REQUIREMENTS
　
1. Grade E or above in either: 2 AL subjects
　 or: 1 AL subject + 2 AS subjects
2. Grade E or above in AS Use of English
3. Grade E or above in either: AS Chinese Language & Culture
　 or: AL Chinese Literature or Chinese Language & Literature
　 or: Grade D in a language other than English / Chinese in HKCEE (only applicable to those who have not taken Chinese since F.5)
[Note: Subjects in 1), 2) and 3) above should not overlap]
　
HKCEE REQUIREMENTS
　
Grade E or above in 5 subjects
