Andromeda, the Ethiopian Princess, is also called the Chained Lady. Andromeda is the daughter of Cassiopeia and Cepheus. Andromeda was chained naked to rocks on the coast, being sacrifice to the sea monster, Cetus, as the punishment for her mother boasting the beauty of herself and her daughter are more superior than the Nereid (daughters of the Sea God).
While Andromeda lay helpless, Perseus, son of Zeus, flew by after the mission of killing the Gorgon Medusa. Perseus was riding the winged horse, Pegasus (some say he was wearing the winged sandals given by Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war.). Perseus was attracted by the beauty of Andromeda and offered to fight the sea monster. Perseus killed Cetus and asked for marrying Andromeda. Cepheus, father of Andromeda, agreed and they live happily together.
