New Town: Tai Po
In 70S, population in Hong Kong has been increasing rapidly, and lands were too limited for use, so Hong Kong Government begun to plan and develop New Towns.
Most of New Towns located in New Territories, such as Sha Tin, Cheun Wan, and Tsuen Mun etc. Tai Po, my home town, is one of the developed new town. Here are some photos about my neighbourhood:
The gate of my home. I live in 20th floor of Tai Yuen Estate. Ha...Welcome to
visit me!
It is the view outside the window of my home. You can see the high- dense estate, which is Fu Heung Estate.
聚寶酒家, where we have family
gathering in Sunday, is
the a small Chinese restaurant in my Estate.
The
public lavatory in the Tai Po Central park-->
Please keep 5 mile away, because it's extremely smelly!
This photo I took last summer holiday. The penalty of
littering was $600 Hong Kong dollars, but it costs $1300 now.
Some old stores in the Estate.
王樹棠 is a Chinese medicine store, where my
mum
always buys material to make 「 涼茶」for
us.
林村河 is the symbol of Tai Po. There is a
bike lane along that river. I enjoy to ride bicycle there, as I can see my
mother school, Jusco department store, Tai Po Coast Park beside me. There
are a lot of memories there.
