Lucky or Unlucky??
Time: One of the English lesson that in the June
Place: Classroom
Characters: Storyteller, Chairperson, Susan, Cherry, Cyrus, Narrator Student
A, Recreation Officer A & B
Storyteller: The time passed very quickly. The beginning
of June meant nearly the end of the academic year.
Narrator: [Scene opens with Cherry sits with Susan,
Cyrus sits behind Cherry, and there is other 9 students sits in the classroom.
The Class Chairperson, Class Recreation Officers A&B sand in front
oh the blackboard.]
Storyteller: When Ms.Poon said she would use the
English Lesson to hold the Oral Exam, the class officers asked her to
let them had a statistic. Ms.Poon agreed and she said that we must be
quiet. And she added that she would be in the opposite room of my classroom
to hold the Oral Exam.
Narrator: [Then she goes to the opposite room and
sits near the door of the room.]
Chairperson: Our class want to organize the first
and also the last activity. We asked you before and then we make up our
mind that to go to the Hong Kong Central Public Library and the Hong Kong
Film Archive.
Recreation Officer A: Let's start the statistic
now! First, you can nominate the teachers that who will go with us.
Narrator: [Student A is raising his hand.]
Recreation Officer B: (says to student A) Which
teacher you want to nominate?
Student A: Our History teacher, Ms. Kwan.
Narrator: [Recreation Officer A writes down 'Ms.
Kwan' on the blackboard.]
Narrator: [Then, Cyrus suddenly shouts in the classroom.]
Cyrus: We can go with our D&T teacher, Mr. Yeung.
Narrator: [Recreation Officer A writes down 'Mr.
Yeung' on the blackboard.]
Storyteller: After a few moments, five teacher's
names were written on the blackboard.
Chairperson: You can rise up your hand to show your
decision. Remind you, we only can invite one teacher to go with us.
Recreation Officer B: Our History teacher, Ms Kwan?
Narrator: [Three students rise up their hands.]
Recreation Officer A: Two only? Oh, then who want
to Mr. Yueng go with us?
Narrator: [Cyrus and other six students rise up their hands.]
Chairperson: There is over half of our classmates
want to Mr. Yeung go with us.
Recreation Officer B: But he only teaches the boys'
D&T. We know nothing about him.
Recreation Officer A: Yea, I agree. So, I think we can invite Ms. Kwan
at the recesses today.
Cyrus: No! There are seven classmates want Mr. Yeung
go with us. Why don't you invite him?
Recreation Officer B: It is not fair or the girls!
Cyrus: You can add your Home Economics teacher's on the blackboard if
you like.
Recreation Officer A: But it is not fair to the boys!
Cyrus: (says to the boys) We don't mind it, do we?
Storyteller: As all boys wanted the chairperson
to invite Mr. Yeung, no one disagreed Cyrus's thought.
Recreation Officer B: But we mind that. No one wants
to invite our Home Economics teacher to come with us.
Recreation Officer A & B: (say together) We
don't think we invite Mr. Yeung is a good idea!
Cyrus: You are all astute! It is not FAIR!
Storyteller: Then, Cyrus bent over to the desk and
cried.
Cherry:
Why you can cry easily? Just a class activity, don't be so obstinate!
Storyteller: Cyrus was just crying and said nothing.
Susan: (quietly) Cyrus, be brave!
Storyteller: As the classroom became noisier, he
couldn't listen what I said.
Cherry: You ought to follow the result of the statistic. If you don't
respect the class decision, this shows that you don't respect yourself
too!
Storyteller: My heart had broken since he cried.
But I could do nothing for him! I wanted to cry, but I had no reason to
let me cried.
Narrator: [Student A asks to the whole class.]
Student A: Who want to go to the opposite to have
the Oral Exam?
Storyteller: I wanted to control my tear not slide
down, so I answered.
Susan: I want.
Narrator: [Then Susan leaves the classroom and goes
to the opposite room.]
Storyteller: When I was sitting in the opposite
room, I also heard that there were noises in the classroom.
Susan: I must pay attention to this Oral Exam. Those
affairs can't disturb my mood.
Storyteller: I felt happy that the Oral Exam was
not so difficult. But I felt worried about Cyrus.
Narrator: [Susan comes back to the classroom and
then goes back to her seat.]
Storyteller: I found that he didn't cry but he also
was dissatisfied about the result of the statistic.
Cherry: Let he clam himself down!
Susan: May be you are right, because I can do nothing
for him.
[Close the scene and this is the end of scene 4.]
