Make Your Own Noodles
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
100 g strong white flour
50 ml warm water
salt
Method:
1. Put the flour and salt into a bowl and mix the water in with yoru hands. Knead thoroughly until the dough is smooth and elastic.
2. Put in a polythene bag and leave for 2-3 hours.
3. Put the dough on a floured surfae. Roll out inot a thin oblong, 25 cm by 35 cm. Flour the doug so that it does not stick to the surface.
4. Fold the two side edges into the centre. Fold the edges into the centre again so that there are four layers.
5. Cut across the folds to make thin strips, 5 mm wide.
6. Shake out the noodles and sprinkle on soem more flour to keep the strands separate.
7. To cooik, half-fill a large saucepan with water and bring to the boil. Add the noodles, return to the boil and cook for 5-6 minutes. Drain through a sieve and rinse with cold water. |
