Tomato and Green Pepper Sauce

Servings: 6
Serving Size: 1/2 cup

Ingredients:
4 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 medium green pepper, cut into thin strips
1/2 teaspoon basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
1/4 teaspoon oregano leaves
1/4 teaspoon thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon marjoram leaves
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon cornstarch

Method:
1. In 1 1/2 quart casserole combine all ingredients except water and cornstarch.
2. In small bowl blend cornstarch int water. Add to vegetable mixture.
3. Cover. Microwave at High 5 minutes. Stir. Microwave at High 4 ot 10 minutes, or until pepper is tender and sauce is slightly thickened, stirring once or twice.
4. Serve with fish, meat or poultry.
