INTRODUCTION: (Last update: 7th of July 1999)

One stormy night when Eric Borman and his two sons were lost in the woods, they heard a baby crying. Eric saw a woman severely wounded (a tree had fallen on her body) with a baby in her arms. "Take care of my baby, her name is Georgie......my husband is a prisoner from England ....please give this bracelet to Georgie......." And the woman died. Eric took the baby.

Eric and his two sons took good care of baby Georgie but Eric's wife disapproves on adopting her. She could not accept her as a daughter. One day, Eric died while saving Georgie in the river. All mourn for Eric's death especially his wife, and she cursed and blamed Georgie for this tragedy. "If she didn't come here, maybe Eric will still be alive right now!".

The two sons, Abel and Arthur promised their father that they will take care of Georgie. Georgie does not know that this is not her real family. Georgie becomes more and more beautiful as she grows up and the two brothers are starting to fall in love with her. This worries their mother terribly. She didn't like Georgie from the start and she won't allow her sons to fall for her.

Abel is the eldest son and he had a deep affection for Georgie ever since they were still children. He became a seaman for 3 years in order to forget about Georige, but he couldn't forget her. He couldn't lie to himself forever. He thinks of her everyday at sea and even trained a parrot to speak these words, "Georgie, I love you." Arthur, on the other hand, loves Georgie too, but his love is better described in the sacrifices that he makes ( or will make). But both brothers are willing to sacrifice and protect her at all cost.)

Georgie fell in love with a rich young man from England named Dowell Gray. At this time, Abel confessed his love for Georgie to his mother and wanted to marry her. His mother was so upset. When she knew that Georgie loves another man, she was so furious and promised herself to banish Georgie away from them for good. She told Gerogie the truth that she was the daughter of a prisoner from England. Georgie was surprised and was so hurt, knowing that she came from a different family. Georgie decided to flee from Australia and go to England to find out who she really is and also to be with Dowell. (Dowell promised to marry her)

Abel follwed her. Arthur went to England too after their mother died. Unfortunately, Arthur was captured by Duke Dunkelin's men because he saw how they shipped illegal drugs into the country. He was tortured.

Dowell Gray had broken up with Elise, niece of Duke Dankelin and his fiance, because he was very much in love with Georgie. But Dowell is sick and he has a weak body. (I think he has tuberculosis) Dowell and Georgie have no money. Soon, Georgie thought that they were not really meant for each other. Dowell will die if his sickness is not be treated properly. In the end, Georgie sent Dowell back to his family and back to Elise. She would rather give up Dowell and sacrifice her love for him than see him die.

Georgie met up with Abel and has finally met her real father, Earl Gerald. He told them the whole story about Dankelin's conspiracy. Abel and Georgie know that Arthur is also in London and that he is held captive by Dankelin. Abel is in grief. He promise himself that he will save his brother no matter what.

They plan to save Arthur, and Abel will switch places with Arthur. Georgie is so worried about Abel. He says that he'll be alright and he will return to Australia with them but she feels that it may never happen. She knows how Abel loves his brother so much and she knows he will risk everything even his life just to save him.

But still, they must save Arthur and Abel feels responsible for being the older brother. Abel was able to kill one of Dankelin's relatives and he was sentenced to death. While Arthur had fallen in the river when he hallucinated due to the drugs Dankelin's men used to torture him.

Georgie could not believe what has happened. Arthur's missing and now Abel will be executed! Georgie went to the Tower of London to see Abel (with the help of Maria, Dankelin's neice) and didn't mention about Arthur. There were so many things that had happened but Abel's love for Georgie remained steadfast and unchanged. Georgie confesses to Abel how much she really loves him.

*****Georgie was created by Yumiko Igarashi and Man Izawa. You have probably noticed that Georgie looks very much like Candy, right? This is one great anime and I suggest that you get a copy of the manga or watch the anime. There is a slight difference between the anime version and the manga version. In the anime, it ends happily- after they rescued Arthur; Georgie, Abel and Arthur went back to Australia together, all three of them.
