Advisory Council
Our school has been participating in the School Management Initiative (SMI) Scheme since September 1992. Under the Scheme, a School Advisory Council was set up in February 1993 to advise on school management matters. The Council consists of the Principal, representatives from the Education Department, the Parents-Teachers' Association (SGSS PTA), the Alumni Association (SGSS AA) and the teaching staff. SMI provides a framework for keeping school policies and practices under constant and systematic review. It also mobilises the skills and commitment of the school managers, teachers, parents and alumni in the decision making and management of the school so that the quality of education offered by the school may be further improved. |
