Hong Kong does not have a general consumption tax, but it has numerous indirect taxes including user fees, rates, betting duty, excise duty, entertainment tax, hotel accommodation tax, motor vehicle registration
tax and airport departure tax. In addition, a stamp duty is levied on documents relating to transfer of real estate and Hong Kong stocks and shares.
